C214: Trouble with Demons

With the situation of the \Majin Gelmud as well as the problematic Orc Disaster handled, all moved into the city once more. A public meeting is held from all factions which includes: the orcs subordinates to the Orc Lord Geld, the unnamed Lizardman Chieftain that Gabiru overthrew, Treyni the Dryad who regularly eyes Axel and then the hobgoblin leader Rigurd with the final addition being Rimuru himself.
Axel primarily sat in the back seats and he sat relaxed while the orcs were pardoned for their crimes as Rimuru takes it all on himself. The situation is resolved peacefully as the orcs settle down in the now named city of Rimuru of the Great Jura Tempest Forest Alliance.
The next week passes as the orcs settle down and begin replacing many buildings with those of stone and concrete. This is further emphasized by the kingdom of Dwargon coming to negotiate and even their king fighting Rimuru himself to test his character before initiating diplomacy between their countries. The orcs get to work on proper roads between the two 'nations'.
During this time another local assembly is held which Axel participates in as they review the facts of the situation whilst getting input from Treyni the Dryad.
"Axel, since I took down the orc disaster, does that mean that Clayman will come after him and the people here?" Rimuru finally brings up Axel who has been relaxed with his feet up, seems to jerk awake as he didn't expect this.
"Ugh, yes and no."
"Can you explain?"
"Sure, to better explain, the orc disaster was not Only Clayman, it was the collaboration of multiple demon lords who were bored and thus tried to set up something interesting. So Clayman alone is not responsible but it was his subordinates who were in charge of completing this task so he might still personally create some shenanigans to cause trouble but he should not be your immediate worry."
"Naruhado, Naruhado. What does that mean?"
(Great Sage)["Answer: A demon lord will likely show up soon but it won't be the demon lord Clayman."]
"Oooohhh, Do you have any possible candidates for which one will show up?" Rimuru asks one last question but Axel shakes his head.
"Now that my dear wouldn't make it any more interesting, I'm sure you can handle it all on your own when they appear." Axel's figure begins to shimmer until like illusionary water on the road, he vanishes.
"Ah, such a troublesome kid" Rimuru complains and rubs his head while in his slime form. Yet this just makes those in attendance begin a new discussion but there is a wholesale lack of information about who the demon lords are as they have only heard of Claymans name thus far. One of the topics that does arise as a side note is Benimaru and his ilk pledging their loyalty to Rimuru as they have chosen to remain here even after the orc lord was killed.
Rimuru accepts the pledge of fealty from Benimaru and others and the topic returns to the development of the town thus far and what the plan is going forward. Axel mostly spends his time recovering his time law energy through natural means though he should be able to take it in through some slightly unnatural ways soon enough.
In this peaceful time, another few days passed before both Axel and Rimuru sensed a presence with an intense amount of magicules incoming. Axel teleports to the outskirts just in case while Rimuru rushes out as well. As it turns out, the presence rushes in after Axel and thus Rimuru has to chase after him as well.
BOOM.
A hole is made in front of Axel as he observes the little dragonoid girl inside the hole. With pink hair tied into twintails, a long sleeved shirt that does not cover her belly, a simple pair of black underwear and a single thigh high stocking with horizontal stripes on her right left with simple cute polka dots and frills around her thigh on the left.
Demon lord Milim, one of the first demon lords of this world or at the very least the oldest amongst the current generation of demon lords. With her age comes a level of strength that triumphs over most other demon lords but it's not so overwhelming that they can't resist, at least not unless she uses her Drago Nova. This spell is a high pressure energy beam that can blast apart entire mountains and reach hundreds of miles long, at least when she enters her true armored form.
"Are you the owner of this town, the slime that defeated the Orc Lord?" Milim begins to walk out of the hole as she has a menacing grin on her face.
"Nope, that's the other one approaching magic signature" Axel shakes his head with a shrug. His words cause her to pause with a dumbfounded expression on her face.
"Oops, then ill go pay the other one a visit."
"Ya know, it's pretty boring just waiting around the past few weeks, so why don't you stay here for awhile and keep me company while he gets here" he raises his hands into a ninjutsu seal of confrontation as dungeon walls begin to sprout out of the ground into a miniature arena. Milim who hears his words seems to be invigorated as her eyes flash with interest. She can tell that he is pretty strong but even with her special dragon eyes she struggles to clearly sense Axel's magic energy as he confines it to just the outer limits of his body.
Such high magic energy control is very rare, even more so that the stone walls were not created with magicules but have their own faint magic signature. She would have been more likely to think that it was a bunch of magic ores that just spontaneously sprouted out of the ground. She acknowledges that Axel is alot more interesting than the orc Disaster.
In what she planned was silent acceptance suddenly realizes that the person might not know who she is. "Ahem, I accept your fighting offer, my name is…"
"Demon Lord Milim, oldest of the demon lords, I know who you are"
"Mou, you should let people introduce themselves instead of doing it for them" She puffs up her cheeks but with the introductions out of the way she rushes forward at Axel who shakes his right hand.
"Shillelagh" A staff made of wood and vines sprouts into being within his hand that he grips tightly to swing at the incoming fist.
BOOM
A shockwave spreads out as both the demon lord and Axel are sent sliding backwards through the dirt. Demon lord Milim giggles in excitement as she dashes forward once more to fight Axel. Axel shows off his expert weaponry usage as he even dislocates the demon lord's arm but she pops it back in with ease. That only works to invigorate the demon lord further in her desire to pla…ahem fight.
"Not bad old man" she strikes out with a kick at Axel's head
"I'm only 13" he replies before he knocks away the kick by creating a vine hook on the shillelagh staff that redirects the kick elsewhere.
"You don't look thirteen" From the redirected kick, she spins like a top as she brings her foot lower to try sweep Axel's legs but he just hops over it like jump rope.
"I worked out a lot as a child. What's your story Ms. Mahou Shoujo Milim-chan?" He even flexs' a bit to emphasize his physique. He then delivers a kick towards Milims head but she spins out of the way, even momentarily getting turned out while she asks.
"What's a Mahou Shoujo?" She questions with a confused look but not enough to distract her from the fight as Axel throws his shillelagh staff at the demon lord who knocks it in the air which Axel capitalizes on by hopping towards it and bringing it down on Milim's head.
"AHEM" Suddenly a new voice is heard amidst their fight which causes both fighters to stop what they are doing, Milim was a second away from blasting a hole in Axels chest while Axel was similarly moments away from crushing Milims head. The one who stopped them was Rimuru, who is standing on the dungeon walls
Axel shrugs and dispels the shillelagh while Milim has a confused expression on her face, "Why did we stop fighting?
"Because he's my boss" Axel gives a simple reasoning as he lowers the walls which does make the slime lord almost fall over but he maintains his balance.
"Yosh, now can we have a chat about what is going on here?"
"You already know and whyd you stop me anyways, i almost had her"
"You almost had her hand through your chest"
"Where I come from thats a form of endearment"
"What world did you come from anyways"
"Well my last destination was 40k"
"I'm very sorry for your loss" Rimuru bows to Axel before rising and looking at Milim. He apologizes for Axel's rudeness and then begins to fight the demon lord himself; he ends up feeding the magical girl some honey. It is later declared that both the fight against Axel and Rimuru was declared a draw to not diminish Milims reputation.
The trio then return to the city where Rimuru and Milim become 'Besties'. She also points at Axel whilst proclaiming, "I will reclaim my glory and there won't be anyone to save you when that happens"
"Oh no, whatever will I do, i guess ill just have to use more of my magic as I've only used physical strength to suppress you earlier." he mocks her in reverse which causes a shouting match between them. Milim later left and then came back a day later after proclaiming her friendship with the city and its owner.
Peace once again returns to the city but not for long as just a day later there is an explosion near the center of town as Milim struck down one of the three Beastketeers that serve the Demon Lord Carrion. The beast man and his goons retreat. From the city.
There the beastmen met two clown Majin, Footman and Tear who guided the beastman leader who was humiliated by Milim to the seal of Charybdis. There the beastman Phobio undid the seal and began the assimilation process with Charybdis but lost himself to his rage under the murderous pressure released by the pseudo demon lord monster.
In the days to come, it had been very peaceful in the city of Rimuru as Milim Nava got to eat, play and rest in the hot baths. It's the dryad's arrival that finally the warning regarding Charybdis coming here is made.
"Axel, are you willing to share any information with us regarding this threat" As the warning is ended off, Rimuru asks Axel this.
"Hmm, I will, on the condition I get one of its wings."
"I don't mind"
"Very well, a little birdy told me that due to a certain demon lord's actions, Charybdis now has an outside element as its host. So it is coming here as revenge." As he speaks, many eyes turn to Milim who has a confused look on her face.
Sigh, "alright, Milim"
"Yes Besty?"
"You can come join the fight on Charybdis"
"YAHOO" the demon lord cheers at the prospect of fighting the demon lord level threat. She throws her hands up as she jumps around in place. Rimuru has to calm her down so that she can listen to the plan on how to capitalize on all that Charybdis can offer thanks to Axel's reassurances.
Then like that, the day of the battle is here. From a far distance is a giant whale shark looking thing with a single giant eyeball in the center of its body (anime version even tho manga looks cooler), it has an enormous wingspan covered in giant fish scales.
Accompanying it is a group of flying sea sharks made from dragon corpses that were 'coincidentally' left nearby Charybdis' seal. The pegasus forces provided by King Dwargo move to take them down while Gabiru and his new dragonewt folk, lure the sharks to the ground for the goblin rider forces as well as the orcs, led by Geld Jr. (orc named after the Orc Disaster).
Things go swimmingly in regards to taking down the flying sharks but Milim is getting antsy about actually getting her turn to fight and go all out. With the wyverns taken care off, Axel steps forward with a sword given to him by Rimuru. Once he gets a proper view of the demonic beast, he raises his sword hand and swings it down.
The sheer physical force unleashed with a hint of magic, unleashes an aura blade attack but it only nicks the wing of the beast which instantly heals. Axel looks at Milim as he says, "this is how much effort I dispensed whilst fighting you."
He raises the sword once more, firmly this time around as he channels his weapon divinity regarding swords into the blade. The blade seems to gain an unmatched luster to it as magicules of it's own wym proceeds to be absorbed by the sword before he swings it down. The sword begins to shatter during this motion and doesnt even survive reaching the downward pose before it turns to dust but the withheld energy is released into the air that directly severs the wing and then that wing splits into chunks of fish meat.
"Oohhh" Seeing Axel finally make a move interests many of the Kijin. Benimaru is glad that they had only ever experienced higher gravity, Hakurou sweat drops as he, for the first time in his life, saw the pinnacle of the essence of swordsmanship. The others are in awe of the control he has over his power but also the depth of it.
As for Milim, while she was in awe of the power of the attack, her attention was quickly attracted to the chunks of fish falling down and caught by a net of vines courtesy of Trya, dryad and sister to Treyni. She had been the one to warn Rimuru about the appearance of Charybdis before asking Axel for his opinion back then.
"Nee, nee, look, sashimi" Milims comes up to Axel and tugs his shirt before pointing at the caught chunks. They also all see that while the flying demon fish did fall a bit, it eventually regrew it's arm/wing. In response to Axels painful actions, it sends out a flurry of fish scales towards Axel and co but Rimuru steps in to absorb them all with his slime physique. He plans to give them to Kaijin later to test out their quality.
As for Axel, he is pondering the little girls words before resolutely stepping forward. From his foot, a small plant like creature which gives the impression of a collection of vines with eyes begins to run forward into the clearing below Charybdis. As it got further away from Axel, it began to expand, growing larger and longer until it could use it's vines akin to a net itself.
With the new creature in place, Axel begins pulling out an energy based sword from the palm of his hand. He then begins an artistic rendition of Salt Bae as he properly fillets Charybdis by severing smaller chunks that won't completely take it down and then sashiming the sliced parts. The plant monster itself adds some grass paste garnish finish to each sliced piece.
With certainty from Rigurd that there is enough for a feast, Milim finally rushes off, unleashing her drago nova to take down Charybdis whilst keeping Phobio the Beastketeer alive and well.
Many orcs and hobgoblins work together to bring the sashimi back to the village as a festival is going to be held to celebrate their victory. Axel himself collects the first chunks of flesh that Trya had caught for him. He gives her his thanks before devouring it all in one fell swoop.

While the generation was his original goal, the rest was relatively okay in terms of powers as it is beyond simple. He can now use either the fish scales or his own dragon scales and have them fly and act as a pseudo ranged attack. The further the distance, the more magic needed to use. He could try to redesign his own dragon scales to better suit this power but it's fairly lackluster unless he is dealing with an army.
The shark creation is a bit more interesting but it's just off brand necromancy, he can use a large amount of corpses to transmute a living flying shark. While that is good if he was in need of a shark companion or something, it's not too good.

"Yes"
[new dungeon monster can be spawned via Life creation now]
"Hmm, much better, now i don't need corpses to create them, i just do so directly, it certainly helps that they come in physical and spiritual forms. On the other hand, I just realized i could totally pull off a Kisame cosplay, even his Samehada merged state thanks to Charybdis. So thanks." Axel ponders his new powers as he realizes something so he looks to the remaining flesh and gives it a brief prayer as thanks.
The next few months will be quite boring for Axel now and he will be fully focused on not slaughtering every stupid human who enters the city soon.
