Chapter 507 - Chapter 501: Six Months Later(In Story an In Real Life)

Hello everyone, i have finally risen from the dead. As i have said, school fucked me over and i ended up failing my first year presentation for my Doctorat cause the dumbass teacher didn't believe what i did was enough, personally i think he is just racist but that's neither here nor there.

I actually chose to stop at this chapter because it's a 6 month time skip, the exact amount i wanted to take a break and deal with my business. Now we are back on track, i'll try to update as frequently as possible.

Sadly i still can't find the last 300 chapters of this story but don't worry guys, YOU still have 400 chapters to read. Hope you enjoy picking up this story again.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Scandinavian Lostbelt has only two types of weather: either a howling blizzard of wind and snow, or a windless day with the sun shining brightly overhead.

Today in the Lostbelt, there was a great wind. The wind carried ice and snow, rendering the outside world hazy and indistinct. The roaring sound echoed, seeming particularly noisy against the walls.

Ophelia remained expressionless as she watched the scene outside the window. Thanks to her time living in Chaldea, she had grown accustomed to this kind of weather in the Scandinavian Lostbelt, just as she had grown accustomed to her annoying neighbor next door.

"Little Ophelia, good morning. You seem quite happy, hm? Oh? Could it be that the Fantasy Tree has taken root? That's right, I saw that barrier like a storm some time ago. I was just about to find some time to research what that thing is."

As soon as she opened her door, she could run into that bothersome neighbor in the hallway, greeting her. If possible, Ophelia did not want to acknowledge him.

—But the consequence of that would be getting pestered by him. After enduring it for over half a year, Ophelia understood she could do nothing about that mage.

At least, within this Scandinavian Lostbelt, she could do nothing about him.

"Good morning," Ophelia replied. Then she left without looking back.

"Little Ophelia, don't be so cold. Aren't you curious? How is it that I can know your thoughts? Actually, a spell to sense emotions is quite simple. Would you like to learn it?"

A chattering voice rang in her ears. Thanks to this mage from the Far East, Ophelia could experience the irritating feeling of cicada buzzing in this cold Scandinavian Lostbelt.

"Knight."

As a Crypter, one should possess a steady temperament. However, the mage named Li Mo truly seemed to have no concept of boundaries. She could only call for her Servant.

"Saber" appeared by her side. The Servant holding a magic sword looked at Li Mo and said, "How about a real fight with me?"

"Saber, I've told you before, haven't I? I may be a few hundred years old, but that doesn't mean I'm senile. For a human body to fight a Servant? I wouldn't do something so foolish. Ah, I'm just curious about what the world beyond the Storm Wall is like. What a shame."

The mage from the Far East left the corridor. He left only the Crypter and her Servant behind.

"Master, you are wary of him?"

"Knight, there are some things you should not ask."

"Saber's" tone did not change at all. He said, "Don't you find him too annoying? How about... let me try."

Ophelia knew that Saber's "try" meant launching a surprise attack on that mage. If they directly killed him, that Queen, given the current circumstances, would likely endure it.

She said, "I do not deny Her Majesty's rationality. But, can you really kill him so easily?"

"The magic sword can kill any living being. Including his life."

Ophelia knew that as the great hero famous in Norse mythology, Saber's strength was extremely formidable. Killing a mage should be a matter of course.

But was he really just an ordinary mage?

Ophelia remembered the news from the internal Crypter meeting two days prior.

The Crypters' surprise attack on the Antarctic Chaldea had been highly effective. The entire Chaldea was burned to ashes. Only the last Master escaped, now having entered imaginary number space. According to estimates, they would appear in the Russian Lostbelt, at which time Kadoc would deal with the remnants of Chaldea.

Just this alone, Ophelia did not think anything of it. But upon learning that Da Vinci, summoned as Chaldea's second Servant, had died, she had spaced out, even drawing Kirschtaria's inquiry.

Because Da Vinci was killed by "Kirei Kotomine."

And over half a year ago, that man had said the same thing.

"Knight, from your perspective, why would someone know so much about Servants?" Ophelia asked.

Over the past half year, Ophelia had probed that mage more than once, but he always answered questions evasively. The only useful information was the data about Servants obtained from him.

Servants were mysterious, powerful.

Modern mages could almost never defeat a Servant.

For conventional mages, they knew the concept of Servants. But they had never seen one, let alone someone like Li Mo, who intermittently provided information on hundreds of Servants.

Such a vast amount of information, from the side, proved he was not simple.

"I do not know."

"That's right, how could you know?" Ophelia said. "Then let's not concern ourselves with him. We only need the Fantasy Tree to grow strong and healthy. No matter how powerful he is as a mage, he cannot change that."

The Fantasy Tree had taken root on Earth. The overall situation was set. What could that meddling mage possibly use to change it?

"Saber" said, "I am more inclined to take action against him. He carries a very detestable aura."

His Master, Ophelia, rejected the suggestion again. The entity within "Saber" could smell a detestable aura from that Far Eastern mage. Just, he didn't know who that feeling resembled, and why it was so detestable.

...

...

Li Mo was unaware of Ophelia's thoughts. If he knew, he would just laugh. As a mobile game player of FGO, wasn't it only natural to know a lot of information about Servants?

Wouldn't it be strange *not* to know? If not for the Servants with their stories, who would play that game? Could one possibly rely on FGO's gameplay? That would be the biggest joke.

Having parted from Ophelia, Li Mo adjusted his breathing.

Over half a year had passed since arriving in this world. During this time, he hadn't done too much. Summarizing all he had done amounted to two things.

First, research. He had quite a few research projects in hand.

Second, management. He was the administrator of Village No. 101, periodically checking if there were any issues requiring his attention.

However, the arrangements made over half a year ago proved remarkably effective. Various problems encountered did not require Li Mo's personal intervention, as they were resolved by the village chief, Dorthe.

Village No. 101, like other villages, was on track. Even the pace of life was nearly identical. The only difference was probably that the one maintaining the barrier there was Li Mo, not Scáthach-Skadi.

Walking through the long corridor, he arrived at the great hall. Li Mo saw the Queen standing there as always.

"Oh, you've arrived. Li Mo, I happen to have something I need you to handle."

"Respected Your Majesty, what do you need me to do?"

Scáthach-Skadi had the Valkyries summon Li Mo from his path to the research room, naturally because she had orders.

She said, "The Fantasy Tree has taken root on Earth. The counterattack from Proper Human History has begun. New traces have appeared within my domain. Can you go and inquire about their intentions?"

"I understand, Your Majesty. I will handle it properly," Li Mo replied respectfully.
