Thud
A hard-sounding whack was then heard as the sound of something hitting the ground hard.
"Gah!"
Yang gasped as the air left her lungs, from the enormous Grimm's tail whacking her to the ground but was able to take the hit with the heavy weight of the beast's tail forcing her deeper to the ground able to see flickers of her aura.
Trying to hold the tail up or trying to push it away but nothing works no matter how hard she tries.
she then heard quick slashing sounds followed by a pained roar with the weight quickly dissipating as her view of darkness replaced by the blue sky and an outstretched hand.
And a smiling face.
"Need a hand down there?"
Jaune teased his fellow blonde as she could only blush in embarrassment at the very guy she was annoyed about was helping her. She is both grateful and annoyed for some reason feeling like something horrible will occur.
Jaune could only smirk as looks up at her head and smirked.
She could only raise a confused brow but then looked up to see a copious amount of dirt with a flower sitting on the top of her head. She could only feel both her annoyance rising, patience fleeting, shaking, and taking off the dirt from her hair.
"Not. A. Word."
She glared threateningly at the blonde punk; he only raised his hands in mock surrender while trying to keep himself in check to not laugh out loud unless he ran the risk of being lodged within the ground or used as a weapon against the Grimm.
He quickly ran past her but not without getting back at her first.
"Sure Dirt Girl"
Quickly running past her and hearing a roar of annoyance from behind him but ignoring it he goes and helps the others.
Was it pretty bad timing? Due to circumstances, yes, was it also petty to tease Yang even though she technically didn't do anything to him? but call him VB, also yes, did it feel like delivering justice due to years of teasing and torment ... No comment.
Seeing the two-headed monstrosity he became serious thoughts quickly rising through his mind, ideas passing then he had something that could- no would work.
He ran straight towards the beast, and all around noticed this.
-with Glynda & Ozpin-
"What does he think he's doing!? Is he insane!?"
Glynda could only scream in worry and concern, marching off to where the students were in worry, But then noticed that she wasn't being followed as she turned to Ozpin focusing down his screen, his face not changing.
She would think that Ozpin would stop her or talk her down, calming her down but he didn't.
"What are you waiting for Miss Goodwitch to order you? You know you don't need me to tell you what to do when things unaccounted for come up, correct?"
He said calmly, not taking his eyes away from the screen.
only hearing rushing steps behind him he now feels his shoulders lightly lessen strain.
His screen shows the unconscious silver-eyed girl being carried away from the young heiress in a rush to his location and he then looks at the young prodigy with a calculative gaze.
'How was she able to use the silver eyes? Was it due to a strong physical reaction or Was it more of an emotional response?
Or maybe it was just by coincidence?
But how would that make any sense?'
he could only sigh at his thoughts as he pushed it aside momentarily deciding to focus on the well-being of the children.
-with Weiss & Ruby-
Weiss runs through the foliage, her thoughts going back to the words that were told to her.
Weiss, I don't think you understand what position you're putting yourself in by disobeying.
The look that he gave her, felt humiliating.
Weiss, I'll be blunt right now you can't access your aura and if my assumption is correct you rely too much on your Aura, you still take too long to take your stance and you won't be able to be healed if you get harmed it'll become more difficult to try and protect both you and Ruby in the state that the both of you are in.
'But yet he wasn't wrong, but how would he know that I can't access my aura?'
She remembers trying to use her aura but she couldn't use it when she first saw the beast to use her glyphs, but nothing happened. No glyph was seen, thankfully no one noticed but Jaune and…Yang.
"that girl has no class I tell you screaming out things that all should not hear,"
"Why can't you use your Aura!? Gods, she's so annoying."
Weiss could only do a poor imitation of the blond girl.
Now she feels like she's naked without her aura and she hates to say it but Jaune was right she may have been too complacent.
-with the others-
Jaune ran towards the grim amalgamation he decided to dub it as, running and then grabbing his sheath and turned it to the shield and then put it under his feet and used it as a sled being on his knees and raising his sword high enough to a cut but began to loose speed.
"Pyrrha! Use your semblance on my shield now!
He ordered, she followed out with the order her crimson red aura flaring to life, she stretched an arm with both Crocea and his shield pulling it towards her while also helping Jaune hold his sword cutting the grim-amalgamations guts out causing it to roar in pain again but then it's spine portrayed itself exiting the back of the skin, the spine looked like enormous claw wraps around its torso, the sharp ends have then the sharp ends two opposite ends of the gash of its stomach and pierced its wound.
"What is it doing!?"
Pyrrah looked on in horror at what she was witnessing before her.
"I...I don't know"
Blake could only reply in a state of shock at this scene for all her experiences she didn't expect the Grimm to take action against whatever it was doing to itself.
And more of the back of its skin stretched itself to the limit.
"What The hell is going on with it ?"
Yang picked herself off from the floor groaning in pain. She then looked at it perturbed, but then she noticed the state of her left arm and began to panic. It was just hanging, not doing anything, not being able to move it.
'My arm is..it's dislocated, my arm got dislocated but how?! Maybe it was due to me trying to push the tail off?! How!?'
Her thoughts going out of hand not focusing on her surroundings unbeknownst to her, her moments of panic and distress were causing something to happen.
Dark purple smoke began to emit not seen by the human eye and it began to rise being carried by the light gust of wind carried towards the beast.
The monster immediately halted its attack as it then noticed something, a thin stream of dark purple smoke, it stuck out its tongue tasting the thin dark purple mist, and its eyes turned predatory.
The taste of the scent of panic with a mixture of distress was… enticing to the Grimm, to say the least, turning to the place of origin.
Yang noticed it turning in her direction; she instinctively tried to raise both of her arms to aim; she could only bring up one arm and could only shoot one of her gauntlets.
With a single shot, it was able to shoot off half of its face from one of the snake heads but it still caused immense pain. The unparalleled regeneration speed was appalling to see it grow half of its face back like it didn't sustain a single injury.
But then Ren turned to something that surprised him… his dagger, he found his dagger, it somehow stabbed itself into a tree and it seemed to look..different, but he didn't have time to focus on that, he looked back and started to run and began attacking the monster shooting at it with Nora following his lead shooting out lightning dust fragments.
It caused electricity to rupture, coursing through its body, roaring in immense pain and being stunned in place, Blake in quick reaction got Yang and dragged her away from danger Jaune stayed behind to help both Ren and Nora.
"Pyrrah you need to go and cover both Blake and Yang you will be able to help them moreWe will try to cover you Until you guys get her to safety and come back with the professors as fast as you physically can get it"
Jaune ordered Pyrrha, at first she wanted to deny but for some reason, she felt assured that.
The others will be fine she doesn't know why but for some reason something in the back of her mind tells her to follow his orders.
"Okay I will return with the instructors please be careful and be vigilant"
She said as she ran towards the other two, but then Jaune realized something.
'Why did I order her to leave again? when we need help with this Grimm, why did I do that ?'
But then he was taken out of his thoughts when Nora was slammed and broke multiple trees causing Jaune to jump in surprise.
"I'm Okay!!!"
She yelled out confirming that she was okay. Jaune let out a sigh of relief.
"Okay less thinking more action."
__________________________________________________________________________________
The three girls running away to safety well one is being dragged while the other two.
"Wait! Wait! Wait! Stop!"
Yang yelled out, yanking off her arm from Blake's grip and looking at the others in annoyance, they then stopped looking at her.
"Why are we running the other way instead of trying to face that thing !?"
Yang could only yell in frustration for being dragged away from the fight, this isn't right leaving them behind to face something like that.
"Right now we need to get out of here and get the professors, cause right now we don't know what we're up against so it would be best to retreat and get help for them, you, your sister, and the ice queen," Blake said honestly to her teammate.
And then Pyrrah jumped into the conversation as well to put in her 2 cents.
" And besides that, you dislocated your-"
Before Pyrrha could even finish her sentence a popping sound was heard, and they both looked at Yang.
Her right arm was on her left shoulder, and she opened and closed her left hand then they realized that she relocated her shoulder and she didn't seem in any pain, not even slightly bothered she then noticed them looking at her.
"What?"
She looks at the two confused.
" did you just-"
Yang cuts off Pyrrha.
"Yes, I relocated my shoulder on my own. Yes, this isn't my first time getting my arm dislocated, I'm not some antique glass doll you know. We are huntresses! It's part of the job we will get little bruises here and there I was just caught off guard"
Yang could only let out a sigh for letting her guard down and because of that small window of panic if her dad and uncle her knew about this, dad would nagg her and her uncle Gods, don't even get her started he would just tease her constantly and she doesn't want to add on to that darn drunkard's list and the list is already long enough.
"Anyways we need to go back and help them they won't be able to hold out much longer we need to go back them up"
And again her arm was grabbed but Yang knew who it was that was holding her.
"Blake please let go of my arm"
Yet the black-haired girl did not let her grip ease up.
"No we need to retreat we need to get-"
Before Blake could continue her speech she was cut off by a roaring scream in the distance from where they ran away, Yang quickly glanced at the other two seeing that they were off guard by the scream not for fear but by surprise for the scream sounding human and they seemed to be in pain.
She quickly slipped out of Blake's grip, dashing back to the others Pyrrah with no hesitation passed Blake following close behind Yang.
Blake standing there seeing that two of her teammates are knowingly running into danger she can only stand there as the two run further from she can only look at them in contemplation as she looks between her teammates and the cliff that they were shot from in the distance.
But for some reason looking close, it felt as if the cliff was closing in.
Blake stopped moving; she was unconsciously running towards the cliff running away.
Another yell was heard behind her yet it was fainter than last time yet she kept moving forward not at the same speed slowing her pace while hearing the distant struggle, 's words coming to the forefront of her mind.
'Don't get dragged into others' sympathies complete the mission if any get left behind their sacrifice will not be in vain for we have to complete our mission, our message, for our dreams of tomorrow let go of your weakness and harness what little mercy you have and eradicate it,'
Blake stopped in her tracks her breathing labored lungs burning the sentence that she and the others were always told in the white fang and that sentence was ingrained into her, during her time in the White Fang she tried and tried again and again but yet this gnawing feeling in her mind kept pushing her to just….stop.
Sweating and breathing heavily looking at her and surveying her surroundings she sees she's at the staircase of the cliff, the staircase going up into safety showing that she's so close to the end she just needs to go up the stairs and everything is over just one foot over the other.
'Why?"
But yet for some reason, she couldn't move forward.
'Why do you leave and run?'
The single thought made her remember a scene that can't leave her be no matter how much she tries yet only a voice yells out in fear and desperation.
' PLEASE HELP ME!, I HAVE KIDS!, PLEASE!. Please don't leave me alone!'
The look of betrayal that was held within his eyes after she ran away, she can only remember the man's horrid cries for salvation not being answered properly only answered by an ominous howl and cries of despair it didn't make it easier for her sensitive hearing, for every crunch and squelch was followed by a scream of painful agony for instead for yelling, begging for a savior he instead begged for death Blake remembers, the Grimm seemingly mindless creatures only following nothing but mere instinct were making the hopeless White Fang Grunts death a slow and as painfully as possible.
How? She did not know, why? She didn't want to know what the Grimm were doing to make that man be engrossed by despair; she only needed to run, run to survive.
But the words of the headmaster ringing in her head overshadow the traumatic memory of when she had her first interaction with the academy Headmaster.
-flash back-
Blake sits in an interrogation room alone waiting for the camera within the room looking at her being watched meticulously on the other end, wondering what they will do with her.
Her attention was grabbed by the door opening for someone opening the door.
A man with gray hair and glasses in a calm demeanor is being portrayed by him; he calmly and slowly sat in the seat in front of Blake.
She can still remember how the room felt suffocating how she felt like she was at the mercy of the man in front of her, what will he do?
The fear she could feel when the man's eyes looked at her with an analytical eye made her feel like prey trapped nearing its end and soon to be eaten whole.
"Excuse me? Miss Belladona are you alright you seem tense" the man said in a gentle voice.
"Would you like a drink of water?" The man kindly asked her, only the odd silence between them for a few torturous minutes.
"Wha-what are you going to do to me now?" Blake could only ask in a slightly shaky tone of voice, her hands balling up, her looking down on to the floor not having the courage too look the man in the eyes scared for what she might see, anger, hatred, disgust, disappointment.
The man was heard letting out a tired sigh with the sound of a file binder being put on the table and papers being flipped and the sound stopped with the file being pushed into her peripheral vision showing the basic info about her.
[ Name: Blake Belladonna]
[Age:7]
[Sex: Female]
[Faunus species: Black Cat]
[Info of person: Blake Belladonna a faunus born in the island of Menagerie only child of the chieftain Ghira Belladonna and chieftess Kali Belladonna of the island last known location of her was from her home at the chieftains hut ten years ago at the age of 7 she possibly was kidnapped her or ran away from home, current location is unknown.]
"Well miss Belladonna you seem to be a difficult person to track if you were willing to run away from your folks for such a long time they must very worried for your safety young lady" '
The man could only say in that same kind tone masked in concern but Blake could tell that the man is trying to guilt trip her into doing something, just like almost every human would.
"What are you going to do to me?"
She could only say in a hushed nervous tone but yet nobody could hear her words but the man in front her did.
" I won't do anything I asure you but the council won't let you be scot free due to your affiliation with the White fang and with all The recent set of terrorist attacks to villages that they had done currently you would be a very lucky one to be given a 50 year prison sentence."
Thr teen girl could only shake like a leaf with the information she was told being given a numbered prison sentence was her best case scenario?
Oum what would be the worst case scenario? Nevermind she didn't want to know at all.
" but I have a proposition for you that may or may not have the possibility to help lower the possibility of going to prison and if your lucky be able to avoid going to prison altogether"
The man exclaimed.
But yet Blake can't help but feel cornered in this moment but what could she do? Either live the rest of her life behind iron bars or the chance to live and to walk freely but having to go through with the mans proposition that could possibly be vile.
The thought made her clench her fist in inner disgust, but really what else could she do? She has no other choice .
"I…Accept" she sounded almost defeated like she had given up on something.
'I have to survive, I have to survive to make a change I NEED to survive no matter what'
But before her thoughts would become twisted and skewed they were halted when she felt a hand on her shoulder.
"Young Belladonna I don't know what you had gone through to get you to react in such a way but I will promise you that there won't be any harm upon you with my proposition. It's really you who have more of the better hand in this proposition"
Hearing this from the man shocked the young faunus.
" why?" she couldn't help but mutter under her breath.
The man looks at her confused not hearing what she said .
"What did you say miss Belladonna? Sorry to say but my hearing isn't as good as it use too and especially not on the level of a faunus i might say, i'm a little jealous for their blessings" He chuckled lightheartedly in a jovial ton, but the girl didn't see it that way, she raised her gaze to him she help but feel slightly happy that someone just speaks to her normally but still can't comprehend of the proposition that she is being given.
"Why did you give me this proposition? is it because of my position in menagerie being the chief's daughter because I'm from faunus royalty or is it because of a secret agenda that your cooking up "
"…"
The silence was palpable; only the sound of lightning dust surging through the light bulb was heard between the two.
Blake decided to speak once more.
"You say you're here to help me like you are a friend but yet you like others hide in the masks of deceit, for every sweet lie that falls from your mouth hundreds of my people die in misery and are treated like disposable toys, like their lives are not even comparably valuable to a single dust crystal, treated like we have no right to live, to love, to enjoy the treasures of life that we have no human value that we were only mere mistakes but…dammit we're people too! We bleed out the same way, we breath the same air, we feel the same emotion too so why are we so blasphemized by others that we are monsters besides those to the grimm! I…I"
The young girl screams with pain, anger, sadness and trepidation all mixed into one, she could only let her tears flow freely in frustration.
Everyone would ridicule the girl the mere thought that terrorist being people when they themselves took lives of the innocent, both human and faunus from those of children barely a month old to those of the elderly that lived a life mixed of fulfillment and regret those that were of the white fang don't deserve their sympathies.
But within the eyes of Ozpin he can only see a confused and lost child but he can't show empathy yet he needed to do something to make sure that what the girl is saying too be the truth but she could be a great deceiver to where she only speaks a goal that she herself doesn't even believe but only wanting to see the world that harsh and ruthless to them they would just make any excuse to want to see it burn before them or maybe just wanting an out for all they went through but you can never be affirmative in anything for people can twist their tale's to just gain sympathies.
It's happened before he should know he was once a victim to it once upon a time due to being too naive and not seeing the signs but yet after that he still holds out hope that people, either it be a faunus or human.
He can only hope that they mean their words but words mean nothing but through both their words and actions can they truly be honest but the two things barely correlate with each other at times.
"So what will you do to make a change?"
The man asked her his expression unreadable, his words stern.
Blake was silent not knowing what to say.
A sound was then heard on the table being passed to her, she was surprised, it was a gamble shroud in its pistol form.
"You say that you want to make a change I asked for the how, now for the what and when now answer"
Ozpin said in a cold dangerous tone his gray hair covering his eyes but yet his aura lightly shimmered to life the air of authority easily felt from bothwithin and out the room.
She looks at Gamble Shroud, a trickle of sweat falls from her brow, stress amalgamating, words keep passing within her mind in a frantic craze.
Like two sides tugging at her on which side to lean on, on what she can do, her pathos and logos were contrasting each other.
But Ozpin decided to push her a little to see where she defines herself by the belief on what the White Fangs actions are justified and should continue or will she choose a different path? Will she be able to wake up and see the chaos in which is being caused.
What will she choose in her current emotional state?
"Well then you should know that I am part of the high council that passed a faunus law"
This caused a reaction, she tensed hearing this her turmoil raised to a new level the words, orders being told taking control, they grow louder and show to the forefront of her mind.
Like a switch being flipped.
'When we see a council member or the in radius of any human'
Her body was moving on its own volition.
'We'll send a message'
Blake saw red.
'In blood'
An insurmountable RAGE surged through her, she doesn't know where it came from but she knew this wasn't her own thoughts she felt like a puppet controlled by strings, she could barely form any coherent thoughts, only a single thought passing through her.
'Kill kill kill kill kill kill kill kill kill kill kill kill kill kill KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL'
The berserking rage was engulfing her. She could feel herself slipping slowly being dragged to the back of her mind if it keeps up like this, nothing but bloodlust will remain and she will be lost in the shadows of her own subconscious.
The girl picked up her gun and looked at the man in front of her in disgust.
Ozpin saw the girl look at him with anger, her feline eyes sharp, her gun being pointed between his eyes but he noticed something from the girl, but she was about to pull the trigger.
And seeing this he was saddened and was about to call for his assistant but stopped.
The girl looked to be in distress he then noticed at how
He uses his magic secretly by using it in small traces so he could sense what has the girl that her soul was being overshadowed by something akin to a small veil sewn to her eyes distorting her vision.
her anger becoming more Beastel as time goes, Ozpin decides to make a gamble and a very large one at that.m
He calmly walks to the young teen the gun tracing the man, the faunus ready pull the trigger but yet with everything she had within her being she tried to not move not even an inch but for whenever Ozpin begin to close in the primal Rage is more difficult to keep it in place.
She could desperately only try to hold her body in place hoping that she could stop herself, for the man to run to leave, to survive, she is tired of the liquid of blood her soul had been covered in.
But seeing the man stepping closer step after step, not running away.
'No! What is he doing?! I'm trying to give him a chance to run. Is he an idiot!?'
Blake stuck within her own consciousness feeling her grasp of her self awareness weakening with every second that passes.
Ozpin standing in front of the girl with the outstretched arm holding the gun at him inches away the blood thirst rising, maniacal getting louder in her head making it ten times more difficult to hold.
Then the gun was point blank on his chest, her hands were trembling for what reason, to stay in control? Or the unfounded anger controlling her like a marionette both she and the headmaster don't know.
But from within her mind incoherent thoughts of her psyche were feeling the affects its as if part of her mind was dying and only the violent thoughts were staying active but things falling to shambles her mind failing to remain together her own instincts going against her with then seeing a large shadow hover over her with amber glowing eyes look down at her, blake stares back up at the shadow, apprehensive in not wanting to let go the shadow pounces her.
Blake could only panic with the only thing she can do is hold on but now it's become impossible surrounded in a sphere of darkness and shadow she was slipping now her conscious being taken dragged to the depths of her subconscious where she'll never see the world change and become another cog in the machine where the cycle of malice will continue to go in circles again and again, over and over, and all she needs to do is squeeze her pointer finger ever so lightly.
" I understand the your anger miss Belladonna"
Said Ozpin in a gentle tone.
"For all the pain and suffering that all faunus are going through still today wanting something is a normal want, for all living beings the want of peace is nothing more than a common goal, be it faunus or human despite by age of old or the young barely brought in the world we all want but yet there are things that are not said in wants in the selfishness of keeping peace. blood is spilled like a crimson river by those of the outer wall, but i believe that there is a possible way to cross the bridges without the use of corpses to close the gaps."
The girl's silence was palpable.
He could only sigh tiredly which made him seem older than he was now.
" I understand your unwillingness to listen to me due to me being a human but know that the cycle of malice continues unless you wish to make a change by take off the veil of anger and hatred only you can do such a thing no one else can change your mind, will you let the whispers be the poison that kills you, choose to let go of the anger of the past but don't forget the memory of what your fighting for dont let it fall in the corroded cycle, so please miss Belladonna, don't let blood be the only color on the canvas that you see."
His voice is a soft plea.
Yet Blake couldn't help but feel a small pang of guilt but that guilt grew within her something in her that felt…real.
Within her mind the panther kept whirling around its sphere with what's left of her sense of self it was protecting her, why?
But being able to hear the words the man said she felt a surge of strength not known to her where it's from, but still helps non the less to stand.
The weight grew ever heavier but yet she still stood and she felt something stuck in the back of her throat bubbling building up wanting out.
It could exit as a low growl.
Then she felt something else, sensing something beyond the little force field surrounding her. It was what felt like a silicon curtain surrounding her closing in within her like a curtain to end a play as nothing more than a longed memory or that of one that will no longer exist.
She could sense strings connected veiling her psyche where who she isn't is distorted to whatever it's truth portrayed being fed lies of something that is not even remotely real.
The barrier spinning fastened the silicon curtain walls close in, nothing but her own mind rebelling against the wall and the constant pressure of the control with this panther somehow helps her ease the control of her mind to lessen the silc flowing in desperation as if knowing that it's grip of control loosens.
-Flash back ends-
The memory of when she nearly killed someone again
A cold washing feeling rushed down her spin. but she wouldn't have killed just anyone but it was someone from the council, the headmaster of Beacon at that.
She could have killed him but yet he gave this chance of freedom to her. She didn't want to miss this chance she needs to do this.
She needs to survive.
She concisely took a single step and that felt like she carried something akin to 150kg.
But yet the words the man said after the agreement.
'Why did you help me and not put me behind bars'
She shakes her head to ignore the memory from rising again, to shove it down to the back of her mind to where she would have been dragged down to.
As she continues to walk up the stair step by heavy step, constant roars of a single Grimm stretch across the forest causing a shiver to go down her spine her animalistic instincts telling no commanding her to go, to leave, to run so far that she would never be found again that she would become a shadow, normally seen but as easily ignored, forgotten from the day turning to night but something felt wrong though she felt like she was making the smart choice, the right decision but she feels like she'll regret it.
NO.
No time to ponder on feelings; it's her life that she needs to worry about, not other people.
She stopped on the second to last step of the stairs, she is just one step away to safety to complete the test she can be given another partner and another group that she can always put with others, changed from group to group to just be a wanderer.
But words that both her and the headmaster traded felt like a nail being hit in the head.
The background dulled the only thing that could be heard is of the grimm roaring in the distance sounding nothing more than a hum in the wind.
'why? Why did you decide to help me? even though i could have killed you'
The words spoken playing in the back of her mind like a record player, slow and methodical.
She turned to look, explosions of smoke made of dirt in the air were seen, followed by a huge boulder with a barely noticeable purple surrounding it flying in the air and then rocketing to the ground as if thrown.
" their fine they must have professor Goodwitch"
Again she tried to step forward but a thought creeped in her head: what if Miss Goodwitch didn't make it on time, what if one of them dies.
She knows that dying is a bad thing but it's always inevitable that someone will die either through a fight, accident, or by sickness she should know she's seen death play out in front of her eyes on multiple occasions in all of the categories.
And the words the headmaster said continue.
' Sometimes when you want to do the right thing, are you willing to put yourself in the line of fire? or run and make yourself look like the one who made the flame.'
She spun looking at the dust cloud feeling urgency pass through.
'some people just say words with no meaning to just seem smarter then the very few who actually know what it is that they speak of but there's one more thing needed when wanting to make ideals a reality'
She looks down at where she once was.
'What are you willing to sacrifice for that one thing you believe in'
She feels hesitant about what she's going to have to do.
'Is it the blood of does unknown to you'
She takes a deep breath and goes to a running position.
Or will you choose it be your own blood that flows'
She then runs and jumps off the edge.
'it may seem like it contradicts what I said earlier but it doesn't, blood spills inevitably, it's best to be aware whose blood is spilled, our own or does deserving but mixed with that of the innocent,'
Then she threw gamble shroud stabbed it into a tree, while using the strong silk fabric to swing safely land on the ground, retracting gamble shroud, sprinting to where the others were.
Back at the mountain Headmaster Ozpin looks at the figure of you Faunus growing smaller in the distance.
The man let a smile show on his features as he looked on at the distance but yet worry still lingered within his eyes at what was to come.
________________________________________________________________________________________________
With the rest of the group Yang, Pyrrha, Nora, and Ren along with Jaune were greatly injured but luckily Mrs.Goodwitch is there to push back the Grimm but even she was having difficulty in trying to end the beast once and for all.
But now she was in a tight spot she could only be on the defense stopping the feathers from reaching the rest of the students and flinging them back to the beast but instead it gets reabsorbed not doing any damage it only seems to heal any small scar or wound recently made as she seems in slowly losing aura not able to attack due it needing more aura then just deflecting back any attack she could. it took somewhat less aura to redirect the attacks back. She wished she could try to call for backup but the rest of the faculty are busy trying to make sure other test takers don't try to get each other killed as it is difficult already.
She just needs a way to get the thing distracted the butof course there's one problem.
She can't make a freakin move! She's stuck between to choices either make her move risking these children's lives and possibly defeating that thing or stay on the defense and wait until her Aura fully drains to their inevitable doom.
'No stop thinking that Glynda there's always another path you just need to find it'
She shook the thought out quickly not letting it nest on her mind it's not like last time it's different it will be different from then and now and she will make sure that the sins of her past shall not, will not be repeated she is Glynda Goodwitch the Chief executive and she WILL NOT let anyone die, not on her watch not when she can do anything about it.
The grimmified beast was ready to roar for their despair.
But then someone jumped from the trees and threw something wrapping around its maw, shutting it tight.
Then the person landed on the top of the head of the Grimm.
looking up at the person Glynda was shocked to see someone that she knew very well and was surprised to see them being here; she remembers seeing them at another part of the forever green Forest.
The person then moves their arms into their white lab coats inner pockets then takes out a set of four scalpel knives in each hand.
The Grimm snake headed hybrid expands its mouth, ripping the bandages off in the process.
She then jumped off backwards twisting and flipping her body gracefully tossing the scalpels one by one in incredible precision.
Each scalpel stabbed into its back strategically, one on the nape, two on its upper shoulders, two in the middle of the back, three on its lower back and one on the tail.
still having one scalpel in her hand she looks at the specimen that is in front of her with a look of curiosity into what she is looking at.
"The amount of knowledge that i learned, the best things I experienced from the past few years as a huntress about Grimm but now this glorious spectacle!"
She said in an almost childlike wonder.
"Is something I could never dream of!"
She Squealed out in excitement.
To others a dark murky "aura" surrounds her as she cackled like a mad woman seeing a valuable subject for "testing" all but Goodwitch and Arc were looking at the almond brown woman wearly.
But then a pink. peach aura lights up surrounding her arm going to the scalpel in her hand.
" but sadly this specimen must go I'm sorry for this you beautiful creature"
Everyone sweat drops at what the woman spoke.
She threw the scalpel at the grimm with a quick of her wrist assisted with aura but the small pieces of cloth wrapped around the scalpels handle unravels into seven strips wrapping itself to the other scalpels that were embedded in the back of the grimm.
"but"
Her dampened mood turned to a 180 with a smile bright as the sun with a slight edge of madness mixed in.
"that doesn't mean that you can't be my little test subject for my new experiment"
she said in a look of maddening glee. As soon as she said that the cloth that was on the last scalpel was loose enough to show two small vials of dust, one dark blue the other a pristine white, the two dust vials were reacting to the Aura within the cloth.
The dust instead of instantly exploding it flows through the cloth wrapped to the other scalpels the moment it touches it.
Multiple pieces of icicles shoot through in many directions piercing through hardened skin skewering it from the inside Piercing out.
The others were amazed at what they saw but yet somehow the lce dust is…receding, retreating within the grimms body but some still stay out of its body with the once clear blue ice turning to black with a purple tint it roars once again.
"Impossible it should be dead with that attack how…how did it survive" said Mrs.Goodwitch shocked with a sense of fear building up within her seeing something like this is unheard of. How can something like this actually exist?
She then turns to her friend and coworker professor Peach the caramel skin toned nurse of beacon academy wearing a loose black dress shirt with white buttons and a red Satin A-line midi skirt and having on casual comfort beige work block heels.
Ms.Peach looked in astonishment that a grimm survived that. But how could it exceed its possible survivability On dust but that's not all but to be able to quickly adapt to the dust's complex…force output.
No.
Ms. Peach looked at the grimm as a thought seeming to be improbable popped into mind.
The enormous grimm stands up once more with spikes protruding from its back.
"but that shouldn't be possible" Peach muttered under her breath but Glynda the closest to her heard her.
"What? What is it Ebony?!"
Glynda asked her friend/coworker her eyes not leaving the grimm that is forming something within its jaws.
"this Grimm is adapting"
Glynda confused of course it is ursa majors are thought to have better time with adaptability to their environment than most common grimms. But it would take ages almost the same amount of time as when 10 generations had passed. Ozpin himself confirmed it himself in where the grimms were much different a thousand years ago from today.
"Of course,I was told by these troublesome children of that thing being an Ursa Major somehow pertaining the qualities three separate types of grimm and turning into that amalgamation against nature but it shouldn't be possible to do this!"
Glynda couldn't help but exclaim the monstrosity in front of them. But for Peach it dawned on her like a piece to a very large puzzle that she didn't know, that was barely being put together.
But what if and this was huge what if. But maybe just maybe the grimm were able to 'merge' this whole time to where they will evolve to deltas, gammas, betas, & Alphas and maybe that is how they turn to Ursa majors then to this. this hummunculos or whatever this specimen should be named. What more is there hidden away In the world that only the Grimm and Dust can only access.
But then.
"LOOK OUT!"
yelled out Yang, all seeing one of the Grimms walking legs stomp the ground, making it rise, forming a small glacier moving towards them at remarkably fast speeds.
Ice spikes protrude from its back but the spikes begin to extend slowly painfully and the ice doesn't stop gradually growing.
But that's not the worst part, the Grimm that had been constantly growling, hissing, making so much noise has lowered to a low growl as if it were an engine, Low but still heard.
But a shocking revelation has happened when its head lowered, why? Why would it be shocking you may ask? Because a beast only driven by pure instinct with its sclera blood red empty, no form of life within it being seen now has pupils.
Everyone glances at each other and back at the Grimm. it was doing nothing, not moving, not aimlessly attacking, nor retreating it was…what seems to be like… observing?
Monitoring them?
But how?
Did it- did it in some way become conscious of thought? But how!?
This never happened in the future but its happening right now in front of him
Was being sent back to the past a mistake? so much change happened so quickly this was alarming it's as if saying to not push further in what he cannot comprehend in both his and Ruby's attempt to play gods to unravel this world script for the deeper they go the more elusive things will become.
So this it? This is where it ends this is as far as he could go?
Where he could barely do anything to change for the better, now to nothing?
Looking around at everything that he sees, those of his team, his friends and the professors, everything felt as if It were slowing down every possibility shown to him.
In Front of him empty silhouettes stand some are up in the air stabbed being dangled in the air others moving to the side but ice spikes are thrown at them along other silhouettes are impaled others are surrounding the grimm but some seem to lose appendages ripped in half, dissected or what looks like them being eaten.
Turning around what he sees is all of the silhouettes laying on the ground in contourted ways, sliced up, bodies twisting in ways their not suppose to and the worst the silhouettes were then made into a ball but yet for some reason could feel a rhythm beating? Out of sync multiple times?!
Sweat began to roll down his face and his heart began to palpitate.
Looking around he felt like something was off.
'Am i going crazy why is- what is- what the fuck is happening !?'
He looks back at the silhouette of the big cylinder, his heart beating the cylinder pulsating alongside every beat and thensome for the more he stared, the more alive it became.
Yet still something felt wrong about this, seeing this, the silhouettes everything.
Looking around, did the amount of silhouettes lessen?
No wait they are, the silhouettes are fading one by one yet it began to speed up, it was fading one at a time went to two, three, four, the crowd of thousands dwindling to hundreds into a couple dozen until only one will stand.
How does he know because the silhouette of the orb is glowing brighter the more he just stands and silhouettes disappear and if he lets that glowing silhouette fill out he could only make an educated guess that it won't end well.
The only thing scaring him right now is that glowing orb beating like a heart akin to his palpitating beating heart.
