Merwyn pouted in mock indignation at her statement while poking Emily's cheek playfully, "Hey~! Don't speak such lies! Fae like me do not speak lies! We are incapable of falsehoods! Liars are ugly, ugly liars."
He sniffed loudly and turned his nose up in the air, looking down upon her disapprovingly.
She giggled at his reaction before sticking her tongue out playfully in response to Merwyn's own teasing, "You're silly. You know you're lying when you say things like that, right~?"
He scoffed before rolling his eyes disdainfully, "That wasn't a lie! It was an exaggeration. There's a difference between those two things, you know..."
She shook her head in amusement.
No matter how he frames it, what he just said was definitely a lie...!
She thought to herself incredulously while laughing quietly under her breath.
Perhaps she would be offended that he lied - and then lied about being unable to lie - but the lie was so petty that it only amused her.
