The Testing Gate as a whole is composed of seven doors.
The smallest door weighs two tons on each side.
With each additional door, the weight doubles.
In other words-
The Testing Gate, which consists of seven doors, weighs a total of 256 tons.
But that's not the key point.
The Trial Gate is designed with an interconnected mechanism. Once the first door is pushed open, it triggers the opening of the second door.
If one's strength is sufficient, pushing the first door could simultaneously open all the remaining doors.
The reason the Testing Gate gives off an impression of being ostentatious is precisely because of its massive size.
From the perspective of an average human's arm span, how could anyone possibly reach the width of the double doors, let alone push them open directly?
The gatekeeper's name is Zebro. He has been guarding this gate for twenty years, and so far, even when exerting all his strength, he can only manage to open the first door.
In his twenty years of service, he has witnessed quite a few Pro Hunters capable of pushing open the gates, but the furthest anyone has gone is the third door, weighing sixteen tons.
As far as he knows, the number of people in the world who can open the seventh door can be counted on one hand.
But today-
The ordinary-looking young tourist he saw today was able to blast away the four-ton stone door at the very bottom without even moving his palm.
"That's Nen..."
"But how is this possible?!"
Zebro stared dumbfounded at the back of the young man standing in front of the Testing Gate. His bald head was drenched in cold sweat at some point.
Since the Testing Gate. is an interconnected structure, the smallest stone door at the bottom should theoretically withstand enough force to push all 256 tons.
But now, it had been sent flying in an instant, while the remaining six stone doors remained completely unmoved.
What's even more terrifying is that the young tourist hadn't even exerted physical force to push the door, but instead relied purely on his externally released Aura to blast the stone door away.
If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, Zebro would never have believed such a thing could happen in the real world.
Compared to Zebro's shock and disbelief, as he's someone who's able to perceive the essence of what had occurred, the group of sightseeing tourists were completely dumbstruck.
With one palm, the ordinary-looking young man had sent a four-ton stone door flying out of sight...
If not for the Zoldyck Family's infamous reputation, they would've thought this was some kind of staged performance.
Even the tour guide, who had led groups here many times before, stood there with her mouth agape.
In front of the Testing Gate-
'I forgot to use Shu on the stone door... The Zoldycks won't make me pay for it, right?'
Moses glanced into the dark, shadowy forest beyond the gate, and could vaguely see the two halves of the stone door lying collapsed against a tree.
Originally, he thought that this Testing Gate would be sturdy enough to withstand the force, so Moses decided to test it by releasing an external burst of Aura to see what would happen.
Unexpectedly, as soon as he exerted his Aura, the bottommost stone door had been sent flying.
If he had infused a bit of Aura into the stone door before exerting force, it might have created a counteracting buffer effect, preventing such a violent outcome.
But…
To be fair, the quality of the bottommost stone door of Testing Gate was truly impressive.
Even though the interconnected mechanism had been destroyed in an instant, the stone door itself hadn't shattered and remained mostly intact.
It's no wonder it had been placed at the very bottom as the foundation.
'That door... looks quite expensive.'
Moses thought to himself, then ignored the stunned, wide-eyed stares of the tourists, and stepped through the now-empty gateframe and walked into the forest.
'Unintentionally blasting away one of the Testing Gates did carry a certain air of being an uninvited guest.'
…
Outside the Testing Gates-
Zebro stepped out of the guardhouse, his face covered in cold sweat as he watched Moses's back figure disappear into the gate.
Within the Zoldyck Family's forested estate, there was also a giant guard dog named Mike.
Anyone who comes to 'visit' without going through the main gate would be attacked and devoured by Mike the moment they stepped into the forest.
Over the past twenty years, Zebro had lost count of how many skeletons he'd cleaned up after Mike had finished its meals.
So he had never once worried that any trespassers might pose a threat to Mike.
But today, for the first time, he found himself concerned for Mike's safety.
'This person entered through the main gate. Although his method was very violent... it still falls within the rules. Mike shouldn't act recklessly.'
Zebro stared at the gateframe, which is now missing its stone door, and thought in his heart.
'As long as Mike didn't provoke that man, there should be no danger.'
But as it turned out, Zebro's worries were unnecessary.
In the dark, silent forest, Moses moved forward at a steady pace, completely indifferent to the presence and gazes of the creatures lurking around him.
Mike, whom Zebro had been concerned about, watched from the shadows as Moses gradually walked away.
Its eyes, which had always been devoid of any emotion, showed fear for the first time.
Seeing Moses, it sensed a terrifying presence capable of crushing its very soul at will.
This presence is completely different from that of its owner.
It made Mike instinctively afraid.
Because of that, it could only hide in the shadows, watching Moses from afar as he walked further inside.
As Moses made his way through the dense forest, he could constantly sense the gazes of surrounding creatures upon him.
However, these glances only lingered for a moment before vanishing, replaced by new ones.
It seemed that within this vast forest, a dangerous ecosystem had developed, one that would be perilous for ordinary people.
After walking for over ten minutes, Moses suddenly stopped and glanced at a dark place out of the corner of his eye.
A blurry figure flashed by, accompanied by a slight rustling sound.
Moses stared at the spot and raised his eyebrows slightly.
Even though the figure moved quite quickly, he had still clearly seen that it was a fat man.
Under a big tree-
Milluki's back was pressed tightly against the tree trunk, and he was so nervous that his eyeballs almost popped out of their sockets.
'I made a noise...'
'Damn it, my skills aren't bad, I'm just too fat.'
'Starting tomorrow, I swear I'm going on a diet!'
Leaning against the tree trunk, Milluki tried his best to steady his ragged breathing.
He rarely left the mountain, but this time, he had ventured down to attend a triannual comic convention.
Just as he was nearing the main gate, he heard a loud disturbance. Thinking that he had to go through the gate anyway, he went over to see what was going on.
And then-
He saw this man striding swiftly through the forest.
With just one glance, Milluki felt an inexplicable chill crawl down his spine, and then he definitely felt an extremely dangerous presence.
'What a terrifying presence-'
Without a second thought, Milluki immediately concealed himself. But due to his fat body, he accidentally made a tiny noise while moving.
'I'm done for. This guy must be some enemy Dad pissed off outside...'
Sweat poured down Milluki's face.
He had no intention of resisting at all, because in this 'stranger', he saw the same monstrous presence as Moses.
'They're all freaks. I need to stay far, far away from them!'
Creak-
Suddenly, Milluki heard a faint sound. He was startled at first, then he looked towards the source of the sound cautiously.
To his surprise, his family's butler, Gotoh, had appeared out of nowhere and was now standing off against the unknown man.
'I'm saved!'
Milluki clenched his fists tightly.
Of course, he didn't actually believe Gotoh could defeat that terrifying man, but at least he could buy some time as a cannon fodder!
With that thought, he took a few more glances.
Then, he discovered that Gotoh wasn't the only butler who had arrived.
'Good, the more cannon fodders there are, the more time I'll have.'
Without another moment of hesitation, Milluki turned and took a detour to leave.
