Our house, well it sure was looking pretty from outside. I smiled at Tod and looked around only to notice a clean garden with some trees and paths to stroll among the rose bushes. I must say I was surprised that Tod lived in such an estate, I expected something more simple, a place like Gale's, raw building, nothing fancy.
"It looks beautiful." I complimented the surroundings.
"I'm glad to hear it." Tod was literally beaming with joy.
"Let's get inside." He held my hand and pulled me behind him. He stopped at the door and turned around only to grab and lift me in a princess- like manner.
"What are you doing?!" I was both shocked and embarrassed.
"I'm bringing my wife to our new house." He smiled and pushed the door open.
I hid my face behind my hands as soon as we entered. I peeked and saw about twenty servants waiting to greet their master. I felt embarrassed to no end.
"Put me down Tod." I whispered.
"Please."
"As you wish darling." He gave me a peck on my forehead and allowed me to stand on my feet.
"Welcome my Lord." An older man dressed in black uniform bowed and then looked at me.
"Mr Herton, this is Kian Murreyson, former prince of Deremoth and starting from today he will be in charge of this house." Tod smiled brightly and I'm sure I was flushed. He has just introduced me like a man would introduce his newly wed wife. I barely managed to respond.
"Lord Murreyson, it's a pleasure." Mr Herton bowed again. I looked at the servants, they were both men and women in middle age or a bit older. That was strange. Usually there were some younger maids or errand boys but not here.
"Thank you for the introduction and I do hope we shall get along well." I smiled lightly hoping to cover my uneasiness, still nothing could erase the sight of me being carried inside in Tod's arms. I was sure it is going to be a hot topic among servants tonight.
"We need some rest after this journey, Is everything ready?" Tod looked at Mr Herton who immediately confirmed.
"Come Kian." Tod grabbed my hand and I followed him again. He seemed excited and I was wondering what it was that he wanted to show me that badly.
We went up the stairs. I noticed they were made out of gray marble then we turned left, we were walking on a gray carpet placed in the middle of the corridor. On the right there were tall windows and I could see the rest of the garden. I didn't have much time to admire the view. It was way too dark and we were walking pretty fast . Tod suddenly stopped in front of a huge door, looked at me with intense sparks in his eyes. I was waiting expectantly when he opened the door.
The room was really big, and the furnishing was excessive. On the left there was a huge bed, I noticed a fireplace, a small table with two armchairs, a vanity table and two doors leading to the next rooms I guess.
"This is our room, do you like it?" Tod pulled me closer and hugged me.
"It's very luxurious, bright and spacious. I like it very much." I said as he definitely wanted to be praised.
"I'm so happy Kian, I've been waiting for this moment for such a long time." He brushed his thumb against my lips.
"That door leads to a bathroom, a nice hot bath is awaiting you there, then we shall eat."
"Thank you." I smiled. Tod seemed to be so caring and charming.
The bathroom was gorgeous, with a big bath, white marble and soft rug and even a huge mirror. Soaking in the water I was thinking about Lorcan, and everything that happened after his death. I still missed him, the whole change was a deep shock to me but maybe, just maybe my life might turn a bit better.
I used some of the scented oils on my body and hair, put on a robe and went out. The room was lit with many candles, Tod was sitting at the table. I noticed some food plates and two glasses filled with wine.
"This is our first night in this house, we need to celebrate it." Tod raised his glass and I sat down and mirrored his action. The wine was sweet and fragrant. I ate a bit while Tod was talking about the city we were in. It seemed to be a bustling place with many traders from all over the world. The port was huge and every day some ships were coming and departing. The social life seemed to be interesting too as many noblemen were residing here. I felt relaxed and a bit tired.
"Can we visit the city tomorrow?" I was curious to see everything he was talking about.
"Sure, but not tomorrow. We shall go in two days.
"I see." I drank the rest of the wine and decided to go to bed.
"I want to go to bed, I need some rest." I stood up and moved to the bed. The robe I was wearing was soft and delicate so I decided to sleep in it, after all I had no other clothes here. I was about to go to bed when Tod hugged me from behind
"Kian, you have no idea how long I have been waiting for this moment." I felt his hot breath on my neck.
I got stiff for a moment and unable to make a move. Tod's hand slid under the robe and was now touching my chest.
"You feel so soft and smooth, I have been imagining your body and how I'm touching you many times Kian." He turned me around and lifted my head to face him.
"Well Tod we are both a bit tired today. After all, it was a long ride." I was trying to give him a hint.
"I'm not tired at all and you look fine to me. Do you remember when I told you that you will be mine?" He kept looking straight at my eyes.
"I do." There was no point pretending I didn't.
"You see Kian, I always keep my word and remember that if I want you, I will have you. Therefore darling, don't deny me, ever."
Somehow it felt like a threat.
