Nolan knew that the Earth on the Honkai Impact 3rd side had a very advanced level of research on the Sea of Quanta, and they were even capable of exploring world bubbles.
There were even individuals who could move freely here like him, entering and leaving at will without the risk of getting lost.
For example, Seele, who on Earth was the Herrscher of Death and Rebirth, and also the Vita before him, who possessed a portion of the authority of the Sea of Quanta.
In the storyline of Honkai Impact 3rd, this Vita was a friend whom Seele and the others met in a world bubble called the "Salt Snow Holy City."
Although her true identity later turned out to be somewhat unexpected.
Even so, Nolan had never imagined that he would encounter someone from Honkai Impact 3rd's Earth in the Sea of Quanta.

Seele and the others had gone to the "Salt Snow Holy City" not long after the Honkai disaster ended, about a year and a half later.
And in the story set eight years later, Welt was still on Earth. As for now, he had already boarded the Astral Express, though it had probably been less than a year.
After all, Himeko had mentioned that the Astral Express had only resumed its journey for less than a year. Based on that, it had likely been less than a year since Welt came over from Honkai Impact 3rd's Earth.
At present, Earth should still be in the timeline of the post-Honkai story. It had been roughly seven years since Seele met Vita in the "Salt Snow Holy City."
While thinking about that timeline, Nolan was also considering how to respond.
Being able to meet Vita meant his luck was quite good, because she definitely knew how to return to Honkai Impact 3rd's Earth.
