Next, Nolan looked at the second option:
[Stellaron Physique: Gain the power to bring about disasters. No matter where you are, you can randomly trigger a catastrophe that at minimum engulfs an entire planet. You will have complete control over the disaster. The wider its scope, the greater its power, and your own strength will be enhanced accordingly.]
Not bad at all.
After considering it carefully, Nolan felt somewhat tempted.
Although this specialization would turn him into something akin to a living Stellaron, capable of unleashing catastrophic events, everything would remain under his complete control. There would be no need to worry about accidentally harming innocents.
It was essentially a massive area attack, and it also provided a boost to his own power. For him, that was undeniably useful.
Still, he decided to check the third racial speciality before making a final choice. If it was not suitable, he would choose Stellaron Physique.
[Human Refinement: Use the soul as the core, the body as the foundation, and bloodline as the catalyst to construct a grand formation within the body. The formation continuously draws in the power of heaven and earth to temper oneself. The strength of soul, body, and energy quality increases over time. During this process, there is a chance to obtain related special physiques and divine abilities.]
Oh. Using the body itself as a formation to absorb the power of heaven and earth for refinement.
Isn't that basically automatic cultivation?
Nolan compared it briefly with Stellaron Physique.
Human Refinement seemed to have greater long term growth potential. Not only did it automatically temper the body, but there was also a chance to gain special constitutions and divine abilities.
Without hesitation, Nolan chose Human Refinement.
The moment he made his selection, he felt his body tremble slightly. The natural forces surrounding him seemed to treat him like an opening, flowing naturally into him and tempering his physique.
Judging by the rate at which his internal energy was condensing, the overall growth speed was far from slow.

Adventure EXP: 23,654,258
---
Looking at his character panel, he noticed that leveling up again now required eight billion EXP. It seemed that Level 170 marked another significant leap in life tier.
He had around twenty million Adventure EXP left, essentially using up what he had farmed from the Simulated Universe over the past few days.
That did not matter. As long as the Simulated Universe existed, he effectively had an endless source of Adventure EXP.
Speaking of the Simulated Universe, after several days of diligent testing, he had earned several more Herta Bonds. He now had eight in total. It was time to exchange them for some Curios.
Stelle had a few as well. He might as well let her see if there were any Curios she liked.
After explaining his idea to Stelle, she had no objections. She had four Herta Bonds and could exchange them for some decent Curios or Light Cones.
"Alright, I'll message Herta," Nolan said, pulling out his phone and sending her a message about redeeming Curios.
He quickly received a reply. Herta told them to go directly to her collection vault. One of her puppets would be there.
Herta Space Station, Storage Zone.
Nolan and Stelle once again arrived at Herta's collection room. A puppet stood waiting inside. Upon seeing them, it spoke,
"Most of the Curios are here. Take a look yourselves. I already sent you the list before."
"Got it."
Nolan nodded.
He had indeed reviewed the Curio list before. What he intended to exchange for were Light Cones. They functioned much like equipment, enhancing the user's strength. At the same rarity, their effects were even superior to Teyvat's artifacts.
Because of that, their value was quite high. Collecting them would also greatly expand the Wonderland Space, and the increase should surpass that of a golden artifact.
A golden quality Light Cone required eight Herta Bonds to redeem. Now that he had gathered enough, he came to exchange them.
Nolan decided to let Stelle browse first before heading to the Light Cone section himself. He took out his phone and forwarded the Curio list Herta had previously sent him so Stelle could look through it as well.
Over the past few days, he had also gotten Stelle a phone.
He still remembered that the first thing she did after receiving it was download games. A true hardcore gamer, just like he had been back on Earth.
After all, when you lived alone after work, games were the best way to pass the time.
After coming to Teyvat, however, his interests had shifted toward increasing his strength and spending time with girls. Games no longer held any appeal.
Stelle opened the Curio list and scanned through it. Very quickly, something seemed to catch her eye. Following the display instructions on the list, she walked toward a specific showcase.
Nolan and Herta followed curiously, stopping in front of a display case that held a black baseball bat.
"Oh? You like this Curio?" Herta said casually. "It carries a trace of Destruction's power. It can easily shatter tangible objects. Costs eight Bonds."
She gave a brief introduction to the bat.
"Eight…" Stelle scratched the back of her gray hair and looked at Nolan a little sheepishly. "I'm four short."
"…Alright, fine. I'll cover the rest for you." Seeing the hopeful look in her eyes, Nolan simply could not refuse.
In any case, everything redeemed would eventually be brought back to the Wonderland. Exchanging the bat for Stelle first did not matter.
He turned to Herta.
"We'll take this one. Deduct the remaining amount from mine."
"Sure. Suit yourself." Herta's fair face showed complete indifference. She opened the display case and handed the black bat to Stelle. "Here. Makes a decent weapon."
"Mm."
Star happily held the bat, examining it carefully. At the same time, she developed a bit more goodwill toward Nolan for covering the cost.
[Star Has Developed Good Feelings Toward You, Obtained 820 Affection Points. Current Affection Level: Lv.7 (420/700)]
"You still have four Bonds left. What are you redeeming?" Herta asked Nolan.
"…Let me take a look."
Since he was already here, he might as well redeem something. After a few more days of testing, he could easily accumulate more Bonds.
He opened the Curio list and filtered for items that cost four Bonds.
Micro Ecological Sphere, Celestial Phonograph, Magic Broom, Phase Spiritual Flame…
He reviewed them one by one. When he reached the description of the Phase Spiritual Flame, he paused.
[Phase Flame: A product created by Sserkal, the 29th member of the Genius Society, during an ion experiment. It was formed using Phase Change technique and possesses phase shifting properties.]
