Chapter 105 - Reunion

Coughing, struggling to breathe, Yuma forces himself to his knees, barely able to stay conscious. His vision blurs as he watches Ikati approach, the villain's aura dark and oppressive.

"Your spirit is broken," Ikati says with chilling calm, raising his sword above Yuma's head.

"Now, you will join your friends." Just as Ikati swings his sword down, Yuma raises his arms in a last-ditch effort to block the blow. But his strength is gone. The sword strikes, sending a shockwave through his body as he's flung across the battlefield, his body crashing against a ruined wall.

Yuma can barely move, his vision fading in and out as he lies in the rubble. His body feels broken, his energy spent. His left shoulder barely hanging on by the bone. The rage that once fueled him is gone, replaced by a deep, suffocating despair. Ikati walks toward Yuma, his steps slow and deliberate.

"You were never meant to win," he says, his voice full of arrogance.

"You're just a tool, easily broken." He reaches Yuma's limp body, standing over him with his sword ready to deliver the final blow. Yuma's eyes go blank as a violently loud shockwave fills the burning courtyard. A blur flashes across the yard, slicing Ikati's blade in half mid-air. Boombox lands in front of Yuma. His hair was once again long and still white, his large wings stretched behind his back.

"We won't let you take him" Moon walks over from the other side of the courtyard.

"You've done enough, Ikati," Ikati smirks.

"Too late" Ikati disappears in a bright flame pillar, a massive wave of Demon lord Ikati's army jumps into the courtyard.

Moon rushes over to Yuma.

"He's critical, me and Cani need to swap places…!" Boombox nods.

"I'll deal with the fleet surrounding us, you go back to Cani" Moon nods, a strong aura rising from his shoulders.

"Time Mantra: reset" Moon picks up Yuma and disappears.

"Here we go… back to action" Boombox steps forward, standing alone against the incoming wave of enemies. His eyes scan the mass of soldiers preparing to attack, but there's no fear in his expression. His wings stretch behind him as he prepares for the fight.

"Shockwave pulse" He takes a deep breath, the air around him vibrating as the sound waves begin to form inside his body. With a deep, rumbling hum, Boombox releases a concentrated burst of sound waves directly from his mouth, sending shockwaves rippling through the courtyard. The ground splits apart as the sound waves tear across the battlefield, slamming into the first wave of soldiers. They are thrown back, their bodies collapsing as their bones shatter under the pressure of the vibrations. Boombox's eyes narrow.

"Let's turn up the volume… It's been a minute since I've done this. Boombox inhales deeply again, this time releasing a series of sharp, high-pitched sound waves. The pitch is so high that the air around him hums, the soundwaves invisible but deadly. The enemies clutch their heads, their eardrums bursting as the sound waves penetrate their skulls. The high-pitched sound is designed to disable them by attacking their senses directly.

"GAAAAAH" One captain stumbles, trying to cover his ears, but the pressure is too much. Blood trickles down from their ears, and they collapse to the ground in agony. Boombox smirks, jumping forward. Grabbing out two short daggers, his body moves in a blur, appearing inside the army, slicing hundreds up instantly, moving as fast as sound.

"Here they come!" Seeing the next wave of soldiers charging in, Boombox flicks his fingers, releasing a series of short high-frequency pulses. The pulses create a wall of sound, thick and heavy, acting as a force field. The officers rush forward, only to slam against the invisible barrier.

"Easy- oh?" Boombox turns, smirking as three officers rush in from the sides. Boombox knees the first in the face, grabbing him and throwing him into the other two like bowling balls.

The larger soldiers begin to advance, carrying massive shields and weapons, their bodies resistant to Boombox's earlier attacks. Boombox smirks, his wings flaring as he takes a deep breath, his chest expanding. This time, he doesn't aim directly at the soldiers.

Instead, Boombox releases a deafening roar, one that shakes the very ground beneath them. The soundwaves ripple outward, shattering the stone walls around them. The environment itself becomes a weapon as the shockwaves cause buildings to collapse, sending debris and rubble crashing down on the soldiers. The larger soldiers struggle to move, pinned under the weight of the falling stone.

"Sound mantra, snap" Boombox raises his hand, sending another blast of low-frequency sound that causes the ground beneath the fleet to crack and buckle. The officers stumble as the earth opens up, swallowing many of them in the chaos. The smoke rises from the battlefield, Boombox standing alone.

"Compared to the Government officers… these guys are WEAK"
