Even if she wanted to beg and argue, Keagan just went to sip on her drink. It was a fair exchange, but Keagan really hoped Justine wouldn't have to lose anything.
Footsteps came from afar, and Keagan saw how Otto made his way toward them. He was supposed to bring Lev back to the estate, but it seemed Lev decided to go with Devereaux and Silvano for a few more discussions. Otto smiled weakly toward them, and he stood in front of Keagan and Wren. Then, he bowed down with the most respect he could show.
After all, he couldn't bow too low to hide his face when they were sitting on a bench.
"Please excuse my transgression, Madam. I know that breaking my covenant with the Wren equates to death, but I can't help myself. The image of her was too much for me to leave alone." Otto straightened his back and pressed a hand on his chest. "Madam, you can punish me in whatever way you like… but please let me take care of her for a few months. Just until she could stand on her own."
