"I beg you to allow me to see that steam machine you mentioned." Freya's cold voice was full of pleas.
"We will leave that for later. We still have important subjects to discuss at this moment. Now, could you tell me what that thing is that you are holding in your hand and how it can have such strong power?"
Olleg interrupted Freya's enthusiasm and concentrated on the pistols that Simón and the rest of the team were holding.
"Are you referring to this? We call it a revolver and it is one of Lord André's great inventions. A single shot from this can instantly kill a human being or a great beast at hundreds of meters of distance."
Simón presented the revolver to Olleg and Freya, causing a shock in the hearts of both.
"How can such a small thing have so much power? With this, your lord can conquer the world and will have no rival whatsoever."
Freya was the one who said this, and she still had great doubts in her heart.
"Hahaha, this is only a basic weapon for every soldier. The truly powerful weapons you still have not seen."
Simón laughed out loud, very proud.
"Do you still have weapons more powerful than this?"
This time it was Olleg who was surprised, while Freya remained blank for a moment.
"Of course. We have the rifles, the 12-pound cannons, 24-pound cannons and 36-pound cannons. Lord André told me that in the future there will be more powerful weapons."
While Simón spoke, he did not realize that the faces of Freya and Olleg had filled with hope toward the future.
At that moment, Olleg was certain that André was the person of the prophecy.
While everyone was speaking, suddenly a great dark portal appeared in front of the tower, attracting the gaze of all those present.
From the dark portals around twenty persons came out, led by a young woman of mature appearance and red hair.
What most surprised Simón was that all of them had the same hair color; the only different one was Olleg.
The leader approached Simón and bowed a little while greeting:
"A pleasure to meet you, my name is Mary Magic, commander of the Scarlet Legion."
"A pleasure, Miss Mary. My name is Simón Bruce, general of the Navy of the Viscounty of Solomon and commander of the expedition to the other side of the ocean.
If you will excuse me, miss, that name, Scarlet Legion, seems a little familiar to me. Could you tell me what its origin is?"
Simón presented himself and took advantage to clear his doubts.
"It is no inconvenience to tell you, Mr. Simón. The Scarlet Legion was the strongest legion under the command of the ancient world emperor. In our legion only witches and magicians can enter."
Mary gave two surprising pieces of news that, if they reached the Freedom continent, would cause upheaval and panic throughout the world.
Simón and his group were left stupefied.
These news were of the utmost importance and they did not understand why Mary had no reservations in saying them.
Sinister conjectures arrived at their minds and they could not help but grip their revolvers tightly.
"Then, Miss Mary, I imagine that now you are the owners of this new continent and are planning a return.
Do you want us to be on your side? Otherwise, I see no motive for telling me all this.
I suppose the important discussion you would have with me was about this.
In advance I tell you that we will not act without the order of our lord."
Simón broke the uncomfortable silence and exposed his thoughts.
"In addition, I am certain that my lord will not agree. André Solomon is the man destined to conquer this world.
Whoever stands in the way will sink into the mud."
Simón's words made his men very nervous; they adjusted and reloaded their revolvers, ready for any eventuality.
"I believe you have a misunderstanding, Mr. Simón. Our lord died more than two millennia ago and we have no intention of taking reprisals.
In addition, it was not about this that I wanted to speak to you, nor are we the owners of this continent."
Mary saw the actions of the group and explained rapidly, fearing a confrontation.
"What do you mean?"
"The things are like this: we, the Scarlet Legion, have been fighting against an enemy during all this time.
They represent a great threat to your continent, so we hope that you send reinforcements before we lose this long war."
Mary said something even more impactful than the previous.
Simón could not imagine what type of enemy would have advantage against the strongest legion of someone who ruled the world.
"Basically you are telling me that you got into a war and now you are losing it.
Then you want me to bring my brothers to die in a war that we did not start and that has nothing to do with us?"
Simón spoke in an annoyed tone and looked directly into Mary's eyes, waiting for her answer.
"The things are very complicated. I believe you should first see our enemy before judging.
In addition, if we lose, they will not stop here and will head directly to your continent."
Mary did not explain much.
"Even if that were certain, it is not our turn to carry the responsibility of the entire world.
What makes you think that our forces are sufficient? Our number is far from being so in a war on a world scale."
Simón only wanted to withdraw, inform André, and wait for orders.
"Allow me to tell you what we know. Our legion is formed exclusively of magic users, and there exist many types of magic.
When everything seemed lost two millennia ago, one of our sages gave his life to leave us a hope.
He prophesied the arrival of someone destined to rule this world and capable of defeating our enemy.
With that hope we have fought without rest for two thousand years."
Mary shared her thoughts with Simón.
"Then you want to say…?"
Simón already had an idea, but everything sounded incredible.
"That is right. I am certain that the prophesied person is your lord.
The signs of his arrival have already manifested.
If what you say of him is true, then there is no doubt: the person of the prophecy is André Solomon."
Olleg spoke with certainty, and Mary nodded at his side.
