I headed straight to Mammon's mansion the moment I arrived and immediately went to check on Asmodeus's condition without wasting any more time than necessary.
The instant I laid eyes on her, I finally understood why Beelzebub had called for me with such urgency.
She hadn't been exaggerating.
The situation was genuinely that bad.
Part of me had wanted to stay in Milham a little longer. After everything that had happened, nobody could say for certain when another bombing attack might come crashing down out of nowhere. If the enemy had already struck once, then expecting them to stop after a single attempt would've been incredibly optimistic.
Even so, I couldn't simply leave Asmodeus here and hope everything somehow worked itself out.
Up until now, we'd been enemies.
Out of all the Seven Deadly Sins, aside from Satania, Asmodeus was probably the one who hated me more than anyone else.
That was understandable.
