On the throne platform where the King sat, guarded by his knights, Mr. Lamanski and the Headmaster stood below, announcing the next test.
"Dear students," the Headmaster proclaimed, "the next match will take place between Renji and Blank! Both combatants have already entered the arena."
Within the arena, Blank bowed respectfully. "Prince Renji, it is an honor to share this arena with you… I hope our fight inspires others instead of instilling fear in their hearts."
"The honor is mine," Renji replied, returning the bow as their eyes locked.
"But…" Renji's voice turned cold, his stare sharpening, "there can only be one winner here, and that won't be me."
"That is yet… to be seen, don't you think, Your Highness?" Blank retorted, clenching his fists as the crowd began to chant.
"Well!... shall we?" Renji asked, poised and ready.
