Chapter 313 - Divine Connection II

"Oh my! Congratulations~" Haku laughed out loud with a slight tint of jealousy, but then put her rather big head against Amaterasu's belly, nonetheless, trying to listen as well. She was just as thrilled as I was.

Even Tsunade stood up (she forgot to fix her kimono); it caused a commotion in the room, and the game stopped.

Somehow, I felt guilty with all the drinks we'd been having, goddess or not; Amaterasu was pregnant. What was in her belly was a physical embryo, no doubt. It wasn't a star.

You could say among my women back in Draconic Deus, she had been the one most diligent when it came to getting her dose of nourishment. While the others skipped sometimes, Amaterasu would constantly seduce me in the evening, in the morning, and sometimes she'd even show up in the afternoon wherever I was for a quickie. Her libido and perseverance were on another level because they were fueled by her desire to be a mother.

"Let me check you up, we have to make sure everything is okay, the earlier the better" Tsunade said to her in haste, her thirst for research triggered and took over her libido. She didn't even wait for Amaterasu's confirmation; she took the goddess's wrist and led her to another room.

We followed like chickens in formation.

She took us to the master bedroom. Suffice to say, it was still quite messy from today's action. I didn't think that was comfortable enough, and so I materialised a gigantic bed for her to lie on. The acknowledgement of her pregnancy shifted something in my mind, and I started handling her like she was made out of glass.

"There, there—careful—"

She rolled her eyes and slapped my hand away.

"Be quiet, husband… it is not a big deal… look how small my belly is…" She said that, but Tsunade took her hand and shook her head.

"Listen, this is not a normal pregnancy by any means. You have a humanoid star inside you... and this star has enough energy to decimate a medium-sized country if it explodes, so let's not test our luck until we are sure of boundaries, okay~?"

Her voice was so ominous that Amaterasu went quiet. Tsunade began by opening her garments, placing her hands on the goddess's belly, and imbuing her hands with nature energy.

We all watched her earnestly for a few minutes, during which she didn't say a word.

"Hurry up, Tsunade! You never take this long!" Azrael grew impatient, and I agreed audibly.

"If you all don't shut up, I will do it in a separate room, and you can come in one by one." Her doctor's attitude resurfaced, prompting us to shut up.

A few more minutes passed before she finally spoke after removing her hands from Amaterasu's belly.

"It's so healthy…" Tsunade gulped. "This baby is developing so fast."

"C-Can you tell the gender?" I asked. Who knows why, but I felt like I was hyperventilating. Elysir smiled and held my hand.

"Calm down, daddy~" she whispered—words that only sent me further down the edge.

"Not yet, but with the speed this kid is developing… it wouldn't be surprising if she gives birth in three months or so. I have never seen anything like this... I should be able to determine the gender in a week or so."

"T-Three months…?" I felt my world get more colourful as she spoke. Amaterasu and my gaze met, and I could tell she also wasn't expecting that.

"I'm going to give birth in three months? I am not prepared..."

I held her hand; she was shivering, and so was I. Still, I managed to smile. "Are you scared~?"

Rather than take my joke, Amaterasu bit her lips lightly, and she held my hand tightly, looking for security.

"I have never given birth."

She looked so vulnerable that it cracked my heart. She had dominated Japan for thousands of years; she had been a lady of steel, a tyrant… but she had never given birth to a baby.

"Don't worry, Amaterasu-sama. It is very easy!" Yasaka encouraged her happily, although the way her smile stiffened, you could tell she was lying.

"She's so powerful—nya, this is nothing for her—nya. Hurry up and check me next!"

Kuroka discarded her kimono faster than anyone else and took her place next to Amaterasu on the bed.

Tsunade sighed and did the same for Kuroka as the rest of the girls bit their lips and started removing their garments one by one to get checked. They all wanted to know, and I also felt like my world was shifting slowly every second.

Amaterasu was pregnant, and...

"Yes, she's pregnant too... incredible. This crest is very efficient at channelling your energy."

"Yay!" Kuroka beamed in joy.

I couldn't help but take my hands to my head. 'It's two already...'

"It is not developing as fast as Amaterasu's, but... I'd say eight months…?" Tsunade made a rough estimation. She stretched her hand, and a scroll puffed into existence... she began noting things in there—as expected of a medical-nin.

"Eight months? That's not good—nya! I'll milk Master constantly and make it a lot faster—nya!"

"I... I would say that's not how it works, but... in this case, it seems that's exactly how it works." Tsunade sighed.

"Move away; I'm next!" Haku shoved Kuroka away with such strength that the poor cat was nearly thrown out of the manor!

!!!

"Haku, be careful! You can't push her like that!" I caught the still-laughing Kuroka with a spatial ripple. These girls were going to give me a heart attack.

Tsunade tested an eager Haku, whose gaze seemed so eerie that she had Tsunade sweating.

"Could you please not look at me like that?"

"Popopo~"

After some minutes of checking up, Tsunade wasn't finished yet, and we started to worry.

"What's wrong?" I held Haku's hand; she was already terrified.

"Nothing is wrong. It's just… I can't believe it."

"What is it!?" Haku hissed, nearly crushing my hand. Woman, you're not even giving birth yet!

"Your embryos are developing very slowly."

"…E-embryos…? In plural?" I sweated.

"Yes, Ray… there are three."

!!!

"Hah!?" For some reason, Yasaka had the strongest reaction while Haku gasped in disbelief.

"They're triplets. Because her body is so big, her belly hasn't shown that much of a difference, but they're very developed. The problem is… I can't calculate how much time roughly to conception. One of the babies… he or she is taking so much more energy than the others… this is not good."

"What do you mean?" I paled.

"I haven't seen anything like this. But if I had to explain, then probably this baby has greater innate power and talent than the other two. And in order to develop properly, it needs more energy… but he is devouring the energy from his siblings… thankfully, this is not a standard incubation process. He is not harming his siblings, just delaying their development… the three embryos are all okay. I would just recommend that you… you know… give her more energy more regularly to assist this."

"I-I'll be a mother… a mother to three—no, four! Zesshi-chan is there too!"

Haku looked exhilarated with tears in her eyes. "Master, I am going to be a mother…"

She said those words like she couldn't believe it—like she was dreaming. After thousands of years, being a pitiful existence unable to conceive, moving solely by her yokai instincts, she was going to be a mother.

Haku started to cry as she clutched me. "I dreamed so much about this. Thank you, Master. Thank you!"

"There, there." I had to console her. The happiness in my chest was immeasurable as well. Haku was going to have triplets. Five babies had already been confirmed.

That meant a lot of stress... but a bigger lot of happiness. I could already picture them running around with all their quirky conduct, resembling their mothers.

"Congratulations, Hasshaku-sama... you deserve it" Amaterasu said, smiling warmly.

Haku looked at Amaterasu; both shared a secret conversation with their eyes that I couldn't understand in this life or another.

"Thanks to you, Amaterasu-sama."

She then turned to Yasaka.

"Thank you, Yasaka... if it wasn't for you–"

"It is nothing. You should be congratulating me, too, anyway. I'm sure I have triplets too!" Yasaka got on the bed, eager. I wanted to know why they were talking about it, but I'd just ask later.

Elysir held my hand and whispered, "Do you remember I told you? I want to see all these little stars~"

"It is coming true."

"Yes~"

...

With an ever-increasing happiness in the room, Tsunade checked Yasaka next. I didn't think there would be anything wrong from now on. If someone had an issue, it would be Haku. Due to the nature of her existence, getting pregnant was next to impossible to her. And yet she's going to have tripplets.

I expected just as much from Yasaka... but she surpassed all my expectations.

Before Tsunade even finished with Yasaka, Azrael was already taking her place next to her. She looked at me nervously, making me smirk.

"Why are you nervous, love?" I patted her head, "Do you think our kids are going to be reapers like you?~".

"M-My lord… being a mother is not something I imagined I would ever experience. Please don't tease me." She begged me with her eyes, and this pitiful countenance that was unbecoming of the oldest angel.

"Okay, okay~"

Tsunade also patted Azrael's head; the latter calmed down, albeit with a harumph. "Don't treat me like a child. I'm nervous, not afraid!"

"How cute; she's acting strong—nya~"

Continuing with Yasaka's examination, Tsunade did take longer once again.

I felt my heart stop. 'Really? Triplets again!?'

Yasaka smiled and was even sending Haku some victorious gazes.

"Don't get too cocky; it's just one embryo."

"Oh..."

Yasaka's countenance fell; her ears dropped while Haku laughed victoriously in the background. "Get that, vixen!?'".

I almost deadpanned and took Yasaka's hand with a dead stare.

"I-I'm sorry, Ray. Of course I'm happy!"

"It doesn't look like that, though."

"It's because we have done it so much! Why just one baby? I have waited for so long. I expected us to have at least five on the first time!" Yasaka looked genuinely vexed.

"Five!?" I gasped, 'We're not rabbits!'.

Then I recalled how we were almost inseparable every time we were together.

'Maybe just a bit...'
