With his five little companions back on solid ground, Xu Ran gazed at the fragments beneath his feet, each faintly sparkling with starlight, his face showing a mix of awe and bewilderment.
He had thought that if the upper layers were shrouded in black mist, the bottom of the Silent Abyss would be even worse. Unexpectedly, the black mist grew thinner as it neared the depths, and the lower they went, the more normal everything became.
The situation here was somewhat similar to that of the Fallen Star Valley, except the starlight fragments didn't splash across the rock walls on either side of the abyss, but instead covered the ground below like a dense carpet.
Countless points of faint light converged together, giving Xu Ran the strange sensation of walking along a road paved with stars.
Star was just as thrilled.
