"Combat Badger knew its previous Beast Master's wish, and at the time, its only thought was to fulfill that wish."
"Immersed in the pain of losing its Beast Master, Combat Badger itself had no opinion about the contract."
"This..." Xu Ran paused in silence.
He could imagine that when the Association's staff made this decision, they surely hoped Kang Cheng could soothe Combat Badger's grief, let it feel the Beast Master's care and warmth, help it out of the darkness, and lead it to a happy life once more.
Unfortunately, it seems the trust was misplaced.
Even now, Xu Ran still wasn't sure what exactly happened between Combat Badger and Kang Cheng, but it was obvious Kang Cheng did not fulfill the promise he made when taking Combat Badger from the Beast Master Association.
"This may be presumptuous, Boss Xu..." The staff member whose eyes were red paused for a moment, "but is it possible for us to see Combat Badger?"
"Sure, follow me."
