Basil Jaak spent the entire night in his bedroom pondering, but couldn't find a perfect solution. Instead, he almost drove himself into a frenzy, feeling somewhat agitated.
Basil sighed softly, recalling the words of the Dark Tower god, and couldn't help but wonder, "Is this really fate?"
If fate is so, no matter how hard Basil tries, it seems it will be to no avail.
As Basil was deep in thought, he suddenly heard a noise from outside and couldn't help but open the door and step out.
He saw Krystal Flack walking toward the living room, dressed in pajamas.
"Krystal!" Basil called out to her, but Krystal didn't respond and continued toward the living room.
"Krystal, what are you doing?" Basil called out again when he saw Krystal not stopping.
This time, Basil raised his voice a lot, sure that Krystal would hear him, but she seemed deaf, unable to hear Basil's words, and continued walking toward the living room with the same steady pace as before.
