Basil Jaak raised his palm while speaking, really seeming like he was about to slap Lorraine Janell.
Phoebe and the others were dumbstruck once again.
No matter how you looked at it, these two seemed to be flirting with each other.
However, it appeared that Lorraine Janell wasn't quite reciprocating.
"A gentleman can be killed but not humiliated! If you have the guts, kill me!" Lorraine defiantly turned her head aside.
Basil Jaak laughed heartily, "Yes, yes, a gentleman can be killed but not humiliated. But you are a lady. I, for one, deal with men as gentlemen who can be killed but not humiliated, but when it comes to women—cough cough—they can be humiliated but not killed."
"You... scoundrel!"
Basil's words made Lorraine grit her teeth with fury, yet she was utterly powerless at the moment.
