Mo Zili did not utter a sound and strode into the West Wing of the front yard. There was no fire in the West Wing, and the room was pitch-black and ice-cold. Mo Zili approached a large wardrobe against the wall, and Cheng Cai quickly opened the wardrobe door, moved away the covering board beneath, and invited Mo Zili to enter.
The wardrobe was an exit of a secret passage. After the two entered, Cheng Cai covered it back with the board, and the wardrobe returned to its original appearance.
The two followed a series of steps down into the tunnel, which was extremely narrow and crudely built, having been recently completed. It led directly to the Cool Autumn Pavilion of Duke Li Guo's Mansion, or rather, directly into Mo Zili's room in the Cool Autumn Pavilion.
