Chapter 110 - Chapter 110: Training

Raven idly hummed to himself as he reread through books on the tri-wizard tournament, though this one was more like the quad-wizard tournament.

(I just got the image of a bunch of wizard riding quads instead of brooms lol)

He was researching previous task and events that happened during the tournaments, to figure out how everything can go.

Honestly he was surprised Hades and Persephone hadn't tried to drag him back to the unferowlrd yet till he was fully healed and recovered in terms of his damaged soul. Izanami was still in slightly shock, but she had mostly recovered already. She currently sat on his shoulder and would occasionally touch his soul lightly.

It was a weird feeling, but not a bad one. Though he supposed that also because of his unique situation and own personal strength that he didn't feel it in a bad way.

"You're overthinking." Izanami stated in a dry tone as she smacked the side of his face with her cat paw. He raised an eyebrow dryly before snatching her up by the scruff of her neck as she went limp in his hold. He raised her to eye level and smirked.

The next moment a human formed Izanami was punching him in the stomach and having his bend over with a gasp.

"Sometimes I forget that you are a terrifying existence…" Raven grumbled as he rubbed his stomach feeling the bruise she left healing up.

"Don't you forget it you-" Izanami was stopped by Raven pulling her close to him by wrapping his arms around her back as she was flush against his chest.

"Don't you dare!" She said, but Raven only smiled as he kissed her.

Soon after the book that had fallen from his hand laid forgotten on the floor nearby.

"You're an asshoke you know that." Izanami said as she rubbed her neck that was full of love bites. Raven only chuckled as he held her close to him with a small smile.

"So says everyone." He replied after a moment of silence as she just pouted at him.

"Raven?" A familiar voice asked and Raven turned to see Rose approaching him, Izanami had taken on her cat form again around his shoulder in that moment.

"Rose, you're early." Raven noted as he noted the time of day based on the sun.

"I want to get training already." She said excited and Raven raised an eyebrow, and then smiled something almost psycotic. Almost.

"Very well." Raven said with a pleased tone as suddenly blue flames appeared and took the shape of dragons and swarmed Rose who barely dodged out of the way.

"Lesson 1, always be ready for an attack." Raven said as his fire dragons were relentless and didn't give her a moment to breath of properly focus.

"Wait, fire doesn't hurt me." Rose stopped trying to dodge, only to grunt in pain as the flames licked at her side and left some marks on her arm.

"Lesson 2, don't be overconfident in your abilities, all powers have workarounds." Raven snapped his fingers as more flame dragons appeared and joined in on attacking, after a few seconds Rose used her anger to summon her flames to counteract the fire constructs.

Raven smiled as his fire constructs were starting to lose as Rose made her own fire animals, all phoenixes.

"Your dragons are loosing." Izanami said and Raven only flicked his hand as a single blade of wind flew through all the Phoenix constructs destroying them.

"Lesson 3, always keep watch on your opponent." Raven imparted his knowledge as he summoned his wand, the familiar cold thrum of it resignating with his core. A single wave of it had the whole battle field morphing into a never ending struggle for Rose.

"Lesson-" Raven raised his hand and casually swatted a fire lance aimed at his chest. "4. Distract your enemy, never let them finish their preparations." Raven waved his wand as the earth rose up around Rose and sent her up before a pillar of earth formed into a whip and grabbed her out of the air and slammed her down with a casual ease.

"Lesson 5, never expect a single enemy, also you're not allowed to kill these unless they are about to kill you." Raven said as he snapped his fingers as several portals opened up and several XXXXX rated ministry creatures started pouring out.

"This isn't fair! I can't fight this many creatures!" Rose said in disbelief as she created several fire constructs to try and hold them off without killing them.

"That is the point, you will fight one of these for your first round in the tournament, so I expect nothing but the best from you." Raven said as he disappeared to sit ontop of a large rock he had created during his lessons, the animals ignored him, well aware of his presence and threat to their life.

For three hours Rose struggled before she managed to subdue all of them and Raven sent all the magical creatures back.

"You did well." Raven said as he sat down besides her, Rose was currently panting on the ground tired. She just glared at him.

"Now, a theoretical lesson. Fire is a unique power, it is both life giving and life taking. With it one can achieve many things, as I'm sure you are aware. With a bit of will we can morph Fire into any shape we want." Raven let orange flames flicker to life above his hand and took on the form of a phoenix that soared up before burying into tiny embers.

"So a question for you, why is fire considered one of the most powerful elements to wield? That is your homework tonight. I expect it by a week from now. Go hit the showers, you stink my apprentice." Raven chortled before he vanished in a moment.

The moment he disappeared a blast of fire slammed into where he was. His cackles were heard despite being gone as Rose groaned.

Hello again everyone, it's been a while. I hope everyone is doing good.

I've been very busy, working on personal writing projects for proper publishing, and taking up extra shifts at work at various different times and the little free time I have is also spent hoping on the game with the squad.

So anyway, I'm very tired, so I'll leave you all here and end my AN.

Until next chapter!
