The maid was preparing food for Bertegau. One day, while she was placing the dishes on the table, Bertegau sat and looked at the food, shouting, "What is this food?"
The maid trembled in fear and said, "This is what is in the refrigerator."
Bertegau exclaimed, "I see all the delicious international cuisine before my flying eyes! Why didn't you ask me to bring it to you sooner? Where were you?"
The maid replied, "I was touring the garage, trying to feed the cats."
Bertegau asked, "Did you find that crazy woman?"
The maid said, "Yes. She lives with wild cats. She was singing about her husband, saying, 'He lost his keys and they took his money.'"
Bertegau asked, "Who took his money? Do you mean me?"
The maid replied, "No, she remembers monsters."
Bertegau muttered to himself, "She reminds me… I have become a monster. Look at my eyes—they have flown away."
