Uncle Colin woke from his sleep to find Sula and the children sitting around him, with the dining table set in front of him.
He got up from his bed and headed to the bathroom.
Sula: "Where are you going, Uncle?"
Colin: "To the bathroom."
Sula: "Don't be late for us."
Meanwhile, Sally was asking his sister if she had seen the cat.
Sula: "Your cat is gone. We've found relief from her. She's become like the news people hear and see — here one moment, gone the next."
Sally: "She's hungry… I'm afraid she'll die."
Sula: "Don't worry, she won't die. She eats everything."
Uncle Colin returned to the room and said: "Say, my son… be a monster."
Sula became angry, stood up, and said: "I will not eat with you, brother. What you're saying is wrong."
Colin caught her by the hand.
Colin: "Please, sit. It's true — I saw your husband, Capelli, in a dream. I felt I would meet him there. He told me: Be a monster, Colin, or the savage wolves will eat you. And I answered him: My wolves are loyal. I advise my children to be monsters. Have you forgotten the day a man came to me asking for money and help? He took all my money… and later I discovered he was a monster who betrayed me. I don't want this repeated with my children. I want their keys to never be lost."
Sula sat crying, looking at Sally, and said to him: "Be a monster before the monsters attack you."
Uncle Colin laughed, and Sula laughed with him — but Sally stood up angrily.
Sally: "Mom, what happened to you? Are you crazy?"
Sula remained silent, then said softly: "No… your uncle has epilepsy."
After the family finished eating lunch, Uncle Colin asked his sister to prepare herself and her children to leave for the airport.
Sula: "You're asking us to go alone… to a faraway country we don't even know?"
