Chapter 82 - The First Amendment of Kiyoto

[KIYOTO]

Luna Park was not ready for the reunion of her son with Agust.

She had always hoped that the mate bond was fractured in ways that it could never be fixed.

She always waited for the day that threads of fate would snap and she would get her easily manipulated son back. She wanted to keep control, and if Agust was in Jiminie's life, there was no way for her to do that.

Even if Agust was absent, Luna Park had realized that she had someone else to deal with when it came to the affairs that affected Jiminie.

Her son's stubborn Beta.

Lee Tang.

It was not what she had anticipated, but Lee Tang's loyalty to Jiminie was insane. It was so dedicated that Luna Park could swear that she had never seen such an extent of loyalty.

She had tried her very best to put a distance between the two, but just like with Agust, Luna Park had never been able to. It was not her best work, and she despised herself for it.

Now there was a tale of plaques, a border set up so that the people of Kiyoto would be safe from Helia. It was something that anyone would have considered insanity, but when it came to Jiminie and Agust, insanity was just another word for dedication.

That much, Luna Park had seen.

It was the kind that stressed her the fuck out because now the chances of her Jiminie breaking down were slim to none. She had watched the way Agust had given her son a breath of life. It was as if Jiminie was worth everything to the mad king of Helia.

It wasn't supposed to be so.

At least not until Luna Park got her power back.

Then again, what else was the pack Luna supposed to do now that Jiminie seemed to have made his decision? It was stressing her out, but then she had to wait. She was hoping that an opportunity would present itself.

If not in the pack, then in some way that would allow her to regain control of the pack.

Maybe she would just have to endure it a little because after all, Jiminie was a weakling when it came to affection, right? Surely that was the perfect spot for her to hit, especially at this point.

"Luna, it is time," warrior Jae Jun said, interrupting Luna's line of thought.

"Time?" Luna Park asked.

Warrior Jae Jun stared at the woman like she couldn't be serious right now. But then again, there was a lot that had been happening. Of course, he couldn't say that to the woman's face, but then something had to give.

"King Agust is going to teach us how to use the plaques. Alpha Jimin said to let you know, should you want to come to the border and witness it," warrior Jun said, and Luna Park sighed.

She had never thought that there would ever come a day when she was so sure that the king pissed her the hell off. But then here it was, and she had little to say to that. Heck, she didn't even have the power to decide what was right or wrong anymore.

That much power rested with her son, the Alpha of their pack.

She couldn't deny that Jiminie had been a good alpha, but then there was something about her son wielding power that didn't sit right with her. Maybe that was why she was opposed to almost everything Jiminie had suggested.

Maybe because she thought the king was manipulating her son into doing his bidding, but she had always seen the way Agust was dedicated to her son, so where was the apprehension even coming from?

It really made no sense, not that she was ready to voice that to the warrior standing tree at the door waiting for her answer.

Everyone in Kiyoto was already excited for this, even if the atmosphere was not as calm as always. But then Luna Park had to decide for herself if this was what she needed to deal with at the moment or not.

"Go on, I'll follow soon," Lua Park said, and that was all that the warrior needed to bow to her and then leave.

Outside, the Kiyoto pack members were anxious.

Some of them were apprehensive of what was happening; others were hoping this was not another game by the king and the alpha. They were not ready for what was coming. They never had been.

Honestly, it was understandable given they had just lost half their pack days ago. It was not the easiest thing for them to do, and yet they walked together to the border, careful not to upset their alpha.

They knew that something had to be done.

Allowing the king into their home was already bad enough, especially since they knew Agust had only ever come back for Jiminie. It was not an easy thing for them to accept. Not at the moment and certainly not ever.

But maybe it would really take a while for them to adjust to the situation, right?

"Is this venue alright?" one of the wolves asked, and his friend just shook his head in uncertainty, especially when they reached the border and heard the border hum with so much energy.

It had been erected by the most powerful creature in the area after all, right?

But was it truly a guarantee that everyone would leave them the fuck alone after everything?

Was it supposed to make them believe that this was just for their protection and that there would never be a wolf or a Lycan who could cross over into Kiyoto without the plaques that the king had made for them?

Was there a guarantee for that at the moment?

Or was it just another day for them to have hope and watch their lives come to a pause because their Alpha didn't have the balls to stand up to the mad king of Helia, thanks to the mate bond that linked their Alpha to the beast of the realm?

"Let's just wait and see what happens," another warrior said when they got to the border.

They were still angry, and it was evident in the way the tension was tight in the air; it was as if one wrong thing was enough to throw the Kiyoto pack into even more chaos.

Hopefully, that is what they were here for.

There had been enough chaos for the past few days.

Honestly, they were just about done with the madness that lingered. Anyway, as the warriors gathered along with the pack member, they noticed that there had been people who had come earlier here.

The king and the Alpha… were already there.

Agust, stood stiffly, in his normal stoic form, with the scar that ran down his face. He looked so grim, you wouldn't even think that he had come here for some charity. Or maybe this was not the moment for that.

The moment for the mad king to lean into whatever the fuck was around him. Maybe he was looking like he was here for business, but anyone with eyes could see that he was kind of relaxed each time he turned to look at Alpha Park Jimin.

Jiminie was standing right beside Agust, his posture relaxed as he was strung with titles his people trusted him with.

And that was where the problem was.
