[JIMINIE]
"What do you want, Agust? Why are you here? Unless you can bring back my fallen pack members from the dead, I don't need you here. You unleashed your wrath on us, and we got the message loud and clear.
"Why did you come? To see what was left of the pack, your people tried to annihilate? To see if the alpha was still alive, and you could manipulate me into siding with you? Or was it just a courtesy visit?
"What could be pressing for you to come here with your wounds as if we were some infirmary for the fallen Lycans?" Jiminie asked angrily. He was not in the mood to be loved and held by this man right now.
He needed answers.
His people were waiting for those answers because, after two years without any attacks, they all needed to know if the Lycans had broken their hibernation and that the wolves needed to brace themselves for the worst.
This right here wasn't what Jiminie had wanted for his people. He had strived to make his pack strong, and he blamed himself for not being powerful enough to stop the ambush by the Lycans. And it pissed him off so damn much.
"I came for you, kitten. To take you with me," Agust said.
This time, Jiminie laughed in his face.
This man wasn't serious at all.
Did this seem like the best moment to be out here spilling his desires that bound his heart?
"For me?" Jiminie snickered distastefully.
This was too audacious even for the king himself. For a moment, Jiminie wondered how the king saw him. He wondered if the savior complex was all that Agust needed to feed, and Jiminie despised him for it.
"You wasted a trip coming here, Agust. Go back to your people, your majesty," Jiminie said, and Agust sighed. He hated that Jiminie wasn't calling him Xiao Xiao anymore, and he wished he could turn back time.
But at the same time, he was smart enough to understand that what had happened had broken Jiminie's heart. It had ruined the little faith the alpha had in their bond and it was up to Agust to figure it out and get that faith back.
"That is not a request, Jiminie," Agust said, and that got the alpha laughing even harder. It was almost like this was the Agust he had known for a while. As much as Jiminie wanted to fight, he couldn't help but wonder what the fuck was in this King's mind.
"Such a brave statement for a bastard who walked in wounded and bruised. I suppose you don't realize that this is Kiyoto, right? Or do you need me to remind you of what this means for you?" Jiminie asked angrily.
He couldn't understand the dynamics of Agust's thinking and yet somehow, beneath all that he wanted to cheer at the idea that the crazy king he'd been mated to, was back. The Agust who took what he wanted without waiting.
A part of Jiminie wanted Agust to claim him and never let him go. It was the sexiest thing he had gotten to know with Agust, and he wanted a taste. Jiminie knew it wasn't right.
He was aware of the chaos that was lingering. He understood how crazy it all seemed, but he needed it. He wished he were just another boy who had fallen in love and that his mate had come for him. But then Jiminie wasn't just another boy.
He was the strongest werewolf alpha, and he had people to protect. He needed to be strategic and pissing Agust off wasn't the best of things for him and his kin. He needed to think, but the rage he felt was just too much.
"Oh, baby, my precious little kitten. I came to Kiyoto for you, and I am going back with you. You can fight me and even have your people fight me, but you will lose. As will anyone who tries to stop me from taking you," Agust did as he got up.
He knew what he was doing would have Jiminie hating him even more but he was out of options. Jiminie and Kiyoto would always be a target, regardless of what the king said or did. This was the only way he could think of, however stupid.
Antagonizing a mourning Jiminie wasn't the best play for Agust, and he should have thought harder about that. But his Erasthai was hurting, and he needed to make it all better. He needed to fix his mistakes and make shit right.
"You seem so confident, Agust. You really must have planned this out, no?" Jiminie said with disdain as he looked at the pack members who had stepped out of their houses and were listening to this little conversation.
The fact that their alpha hadn't told them to get back into their houses for safety was all so the reminder that a Jiminie was beyond giving a shit about the king. Maybe he was realizing that giving himself to Agust was the dumbest decision ever.
Then again, Agust had kidnapped him two years ago. He had screwed him over and that had been the beginning of their end. He should have been careful, but Jiminie was just an alpha who wanted his people safe.
"I am Jiminie. Your people's lives depend on the choice you make today. You can either come with me and save their lives or refuse, and they will all die right here," Agust said, and Jiminie stared at him amusedly.
There had to be more to this and it seemed the delivery was something that pissed him off. Agust was quite literally threatening him, and all Jiminie could think of was what had been the motivator for this madness.
The king never stepped out like this and as bugging as it was, Jiminie couldn't overlook the fact that Agust was threatening his people when the Helia Lycans had already fucked the over barely days ago. That was an insult to everything they believed in.
"That is a really good thought, Xiao Xiao. But then you will have to choose if you want me dead or alive at the end of this, because the only way I am coming with you to Helia is if I'm dead.
"I'd rather die than be one of your bitches and endless streams of whores in your palace. Either way, you need to decide fast," Jiminie said.
Jae Jun stared sadly at his alpha.
He and Lee Tang were currently regretting convincing Jiminie to go and talk to the king. It was pure madness and they should have expected as much, but this was just beyond what anyone could have expected.
Jiminie wasn't bluffing.
Agust didn't seem to be bluffing, either.
There would be another loss today too, fuck.
This wasn't fair in any capacity, so why was it easy for the fates to throw us in this predicament right now? What was the use of it all when there would be greater losses? What if there wasn't an agreement then?
Would this be the end for Kiyoto?
"I knew you were smart," Agust said, and Jiminie paled.
"Do it then. Kill yourself in front of your people, Jiminie. Go ahead," Agust taunted shamelessly.
"I'm sorry, Kiyoto," Jiminie said sadly, his tone so defeated as he stared at them one more time, before he stabbed himself in the heart with his blade, shocking everyone, including King Ming Xiao Zhu.
"Wh… What have I done?" Agust cried in anguish.
