Chapter 193 - 1

Chapter 1

Running as fast as she could, a young girl was being bombarded by deadly attacks that came at her like wild waves.

Bullets of light, and swords of light all coming at her, the girl managed to dodge and weave through the attacks.

"You wont escape!" An Exorcist called out.

"We have to stop you!" Another called with a swing of their sword.

The small girl turned her hand back towards her enemies, and unleashes a violent torrent of demonic power, the bombardment of destructive power was able to reign down onto the enemies, and caused their bodies to begin collapsing.

"Damn!"

"She still had this much left!?"

"She's dangerous for a little girl!"

The young girl didn't stop the attacks, using all of the power she held within her body.

However, a middle aged black haired man dressed in priest clothing stepped up, and brought out an elegant blade, radiating a heavy aura of holy energy, flowing endlessly through the beautiful blade itself.

"All sinful Devils shall be punished." The man swings the sword down, and unleashes a devastating holy power.

The holy energy of the attack erupted the ground in a huge blast.

The girl felt the shockwave sending her skidding backwards, trees all around her breaking apart from the attack, forcing her to try and defend herself, but she smashed into a tree before she could fully steady herself.

Feeling a little winded from the attack, she pulls herself up, and looks to see a large crater in the ground, surrounding the Exorcist that had attacked, so the young girl fully gets to her feet, as the older man locks eyes with her.

"No matter where you go, I shall find you, young girl. I have never let a Devil escape me before, and I don't intend to start now. Be prepared to vanish from this life, young girl." The Exorcist man named Ewald spoke harshly, readying his blade.

The young girl breathed in hair, brushing the clumps of silver out of her eyes, as she looks around.

Feeling her energies depleting, she thought she was going to be caught for sure.

That's when, suddenly large sheets of ice flow from the sky, and sweep up the Exorcists.

Freezing them in blocks of crystalline beautiful bluish white, Ewald saw a sheet of ice threatening to swallow him up whole, so he took his Holy Sword, and swung it down, creating a ice shattering attack before it captured him.

But, he looked to his allies, and saw them all suspended in the ice.

Alive, but unable to move.

His eyes went to the Devil girl, seeing her already running away.

"No!" He went to move, when his feet froze to the ground. "I demand to know who is attacking-"

"Demanding from your enemy, when you wandered into their territory, is quite bold of you, Exorcist-san."

Ewald looked up, and saw a young boy who looked around eleven years old. His raven black locks flowed down past his neck, his bangs sweeping to the right hand side, radiant blue eyes shining through the peaks of light from the trees, as a beautiful mist of ice particles surround his hands, and his upper body.

He had a cute looking face, but something about his blue eyes displayed a battle hardened look in them that contrasted his cute appearance, and in Ewald's eyes, looked more intimidating someone so unassuming had disabled his movements with ice.

"You are?" Ewald spoke.

"Usually, its polite to introduce yourself, before barking out demands." The boy leaps down, glancing in the girls direction. "I don't know your intentions with that young girl, but while she's in the land of Sitri, she falls under my territory, and Exorcists such as yourself have no authority here, so I suggest you leave."

"Sitri…so, you're…I see, yes. You're the Maou Serafall's sibling. If I recall, Sakai Sitri."

Sakai points to himself. "I'm famous in the Church? Cool~"

His voice was playful, his eyes were very serious.

Ewald focused on the boy, clutching his Excalibur tightly.

"Yes, you're quite the interesting Devil, young but strong from what I've heard. However, that girl you're letting get away, is someone I've been hunting. I don't wish to cause strife with the Sitri, but it is my mission to go and take that girl down."

"Sorry, she's off the table now, you're gonna have to find someone else to fight." Sakai spoke with a no nonsense attitude, an icy aura flowing around hiss form.

Ewald scowled. "Do you have a connection with that creature?"

"No. However, by your words, and her actions of defending herself, she's hunted for simply existing from what I've seen. But, I am friendly with Gabriel-sama, so I'll give you a chance to leave peacefully. However, if you choose to go against me, then I shall freeze you."

Ewald sharpened his focus, and stared into the boys bright blue eyes.

Sakai stared back, not budging an inch.

After a few moments of staring, Ewald backed away, shattering the ice on his feet, and looked to his men and women.

"If you'll be so kind as to unfreeze them, I'll happily vacate the Sitri's land."

Sakai snaps his fingers, and the ice shatters.

They all drop to the floor, shivering madly at the immense cold they had been in.

"Goodbye now~" Sakai waved, Ewald narrowed his brows, and took off with his people.

As he did, Sakai sighed, looking to where the girl was.

She had vanished.

Sakai wondered who she was, and why she felt like a Dragon…

Two days pass, and Sakai was in his home, casually laying on his stomach in the living room, forming little ice figures of a woman with beautiful looking angelic wings, and used his cold breath to cause her to spin around, chuckling lightly when feeling a presence.

"Sona-nee-chan, I know you're here~"

As he said it, a young girl with black hair akin to Sakai's own in a bob cut, about a year or so older than him came out of hiding from behind a wall, pushing up her red rimmed glasses.

"Your skills in sensing haven't dulled, Saka. I thought my stealth today would've been enough to hide my presence."

Only Sona and Serafall ever called him Saka, instead of Sakai, showing the closeness they shared.

"Sera-nee-chan isn't here, you can relax~" Sona's amused lips curl up ever so slightly. "Need me bite the bullet as it were, and give Sera-nee-chan anything?"

Sona pulls in close, and hands him some documents. "If you could pass on these to Onee-sama, I would be grateful. I would myself but…just thinking about the cuddles, it worries me Saka."

"Will do, I'll take one for the team."

Sona cocked an eyebrow up. "Though, while you're here, I've been hearing you're on the trail of someone? Could you tell me more about this individual? Are they dangerous? If so, then I wont allow them to do anything to you."

Sakai smiles softly. "Not worried about me, are you Sona-nee-chan?"

"Naturally, I am your Onee-sama, and I wish to make sure you're safe at all times." Sona said with a very big sister attitude that showed the compassion she felt for her younger brother.

"I'm alright, but this girl isn't. I'm worried Nee-chan. A Devil girl entered Sitri territory in the Human World two days ago, and now I'm trying to find her, she had wounds on her, and it worries me she might get killed. I've got some guards on it, since I've been able to pinpoint her potential locations based on space, time, and how realistically she'd be able to move between these points with and without resorting to her powers. I'm having Sera-nee-chan use her connections to have those Exorcists called off, you know with Gabriel-sama…but you know how she feels about her, so its been difficult~"

As he said it, he produced a map and showed it Sona.

Sona looked it over, and nods a single time. "I see, this is quite the investigation, I couldn't have done it better myself. No flaws from what I can see, it seems you'll find her quite soon."

"You've drilled into me the importance of being mentally prepared for challenges. Plus, if I wanna become the Rating Games champ, I've gotta have a good head on my shoulders, right?"

Sona lightly smiled. "Exactly."

Sakai flashed his smile, and hops to his feet. "I best go and find Sera-nee-chan. Wish me luck from the cringe Sona-nee-chan~"

"Ah yes, good luck. And be careful." Sona watches him go, and nods to herself, getting back to her duties.

A small time later, standing on top of a mountain of ice and snow, a beautiful tied into twintails black haired young woman wearing a magical girls outfit, courageously faced down the forces of evil that were coming for them, flying all around them, marching up the mountains, and all gunning for them.

Next to her, a young boy who looked to be around eleven years old, his exuberant smile immediately caught the little girls eye, his raven locks falling down to his shoulders, his bright blue eyes looking as if they were sparkling, his gentle looking features becoming dazzling as the sun bathes his face.

"Look Magical Boy Saka-chan! We've got to fight the enemies, and protect the forces of good!"

"Yes, Sera-chan! Lets fight the bad guys, and unite!"

The pair, Serafall, and Sakai, both charged down the enemies.

Flailing their hands left and right, beautiful ice ejects from their fingertips, waves of beautiful white ice surrounding them, slamming into the enemies, and froze them upon contact, encasing them, and then they snapped their fingers, shattering the ice, causing wounds to appear on their bodies.

"The enemy is strong, but its no match for the Magical Duo!" Serafall exclaimed, pulling out a staff with a star on the end. "Magical Boy Saka-chan, stand with me, and lets unleash our strongest ice! Frost Icicles of Love!"

Sakai internally cringed, but shined his bright smile. "Yes, Sera-chan!"

Serafall grabbed his hand, and they raised their palms to the sky, as veils of ice blast out from their connected hands, fluttering icicles began to form, and swirl all around them, looking beautiful in the light of the sun peaking over the mountains.

Then together, announcing "Have this!" they unleashed the barrage of icicles, combatting all of the enemies at the same time.

The ground enemies were stunned by the overwhelming ice attacks. The flying enemies wings were pierced, and blown away by the sheer number of attacks, leaving the pair of Magical People in the middle, surrounded by the ice.

"Scene, cut!" The director yelled from the side.

Sakai sighed happily as he looked over the set, seeing multiple people, cameramen and camerawomen all clapping Serafall and Sakai himself, along with a blonde haired girl with drill like curls for twintails also clapped her hands over and over again.

"Yay, thank you everyone! That's gonna be good for the season finale fight scene!" Serafall showed a grand smile, as Sakai thanked the others, and walked off to the side to join the blonde.

"Here." The girl, Ravel, offered a towel.

Sakai took it with a "Thanks~" as he ran it over his face.

"I thought the finale was pretty well shot today Sakai-sama." Ravel praised.

Sakai gives an amused smile, winking at the young girl. "Thank you Ravel-chan. Though, I can see you're in thought, is something going on? Or, did you want to cuddle~?"

Ravel flushed heavily, and began saying "C-Cuddle…" but Serafall cut her off when she glomps her little brother, holding him close to her body.

"Saka-chan, you did great today, I'm so glad you joined my show~ We're pulling in even more girls to see someone as cute and adorable as you Saka-chan, it was the best move, wasn't it?"

Sakai adopted a small smile. "I'm surprised, I've been getting a few fans from different factions, but one who surprised me most was Gabriel-sama. She sends me fan letters~ Imagine, someone as beautiful and incredible as Gabriel-sama sending me such trivial things as letters, she must really love my acting skills~"

Serafall's face fell immediately and looked as if she was falling into a depression, the area beginning to frost over, even Ravel noticing, and felt herself shivering at the dismayed look on the girls face.

"Gabriel, the Angelic Monster. Corrupting my Saka-chan into being a follower of yours, bad Angel…" Serafall whispers, drawing Ravel's gaze as Serafall made a sad face, worrying her a good deal.

"Bad Angel…? Ooh dear…" Ravel thought, not sure what that meant.

Sakai though clapped his hands together. "Sera-nee-chan, you'll never be replaced in my heart~"

Serafall's eyes lit up, hugging the young boy tightly into her body. "Ooh Saka-chan, you're too cute and sweet! If you keep being like this, then I'll have to cuddle you even more, okay~?"

"Yeah~" Sakai chuckled. "But Sera-nee-chan, you promised you'd contact Gabriel-sama for me, these bad Exorcists have tried coming onto the land again, and while I'll take care of them if I have too, you've always said peaceful solutions should come if they can."

Serafall sighed dramatically. "I know, but its Gabriel, the Queen of Darkness, who wants to steal my Saka-chan away…" Ravel and Sakai both sweat dropped at that. "But, it is for you Saka-chan, so I'll suck in my fear of the Angel, and have her come down…ugh, Gabriel, she's the Angel that steals my dreams, and leaves me with nightmares…well, I'm off~"

Serafall winked, and took off running.

Ravel looked on with half lidded eyes, while Sakai stretched his limbs. "Did she just say Gabriel-sama steals her dreams, and leaves her with nightmares?"

Sakai chuckled unevenly, trying to find the right words.

"That's Sera-nee-chan for you, she can be a bit strange, but I love her all the same~ And she'll not cause problems with Heaven, so we'll be fine~" Ravel hoped he was right. "Aah, its been quite a day, wanna come to mine for some cake, Ravel-chan? There's not much to be done until we've had a good spot of the girl, or Gabriel-sama graces us with her presence~"

Ravel shows her slight smile, nodding. "Sure, I'd love too."

Sakai flashes his cheery smile, and together they take off.

A small time later, Sakai and Ravel made it back to the Sitri castle, and were in the dining room, casually snacking on some chocolate cake, and discussing various things, including the likes of peerages, and what they were going to do.

"You're gaining Evil Pieces when the time comes, right?" Ravel asks curiously, he nods. "Are you looking forward to having people join your peerage?"

"I am, I'm going to be gunning for peerage members that need a home, or have been mistreated by society. Or those that need someone to support them, and I could do that. I remember back when that horrible incident happened, I wouldn't wish what happened to me on anyone else, so I wanna be that someone who can help them."

Ravel felt an unexpected wave of emotion coming over her.

Though Sakai hums as he looks at her.

"What about you Ravel-chan?"

Ravel muses as she bites another piece of chocolate cake. "I actually don't know if I'm going to get my Pieces yet."

Sakai tilts his head. "I think you'd be a great leader."

Ravel's cheeks take a notable flush. "Y, You think so, Sakai-sama?"

"Yeah, you're smart, elegant, adorable, I'd be fine with you as a King." Sakai spoke with the truth, finishing off his own cake. "But if you don't wanna do that, you can come to me Ravel-chan, I'll shower you with affection and adoration every single day and night. How about it~? I think together, you and I could truly be a dynamic duo~ Plus, we have the whole fire and ice thing going on, perfectly balances us out~"

Ravel's face resembled lava, as she thought about being showered in affection by Sakai.

However, they were interrupted when a guard came into the room, getting onto bended knee.

"Sakai-sama, there has been an incident within the Human World, within Sitri territory, matching the signature you gave us, sir."

"Thank you, then I'll go and check out what's going on. Contact Sera-nee-chan for me. Ravel-chan, you stay here, could get dangerous."

Ravel nods, as the guard bows his head, and gave Sakai the details, and then left.

Sakai stood tall, as he snapped his fingers, an icy veil washing all over him, and caused his royal looking clothing to be washed over in a pure white colour, sparkles of ice shimmying in the lights on the ceiling, giving him some defence to his clothes.

"Can't have a repeat of when that slime tried to melt my clothes off~" Sakai giggles.

Ravel giggled, her face blushing bright red. "N, No. We can't have that~"

Sakai glances at Ravel, and leans towards her, whispering "What're you thinking about Ravel-chan?" with a husky voice, her face a deep crimson, feeling a flush washing all over her being, shaking side to side.

Then he pulled back, and waved. "See you soon, Ravel-chan~"

With that, he vanished in a burst of bright light.

Ravel let out a hot breath, and hoped he'd be okay.

A little time later, it was a warm day, that July afternoon.

The sun in the sky looked to be dazzling in the Human World, the sun beaming down on a woodland area.

The wind flows through the trees, and the sky looks to be peaceful, tranquil.

One lone girl laid in the grass, panting hard as she looked left to right, believing she had outrun her enemies.

Her silver hair ran down her neck, feeling fatigue coming over her, clutching her hands together tightly.

But that soon ended when she felt people with swords of light, among other weapons that they could gather, the small silver haired girl let out repeated pants, stabbing her feet into the dirt, and lifts herself up.

"Up, Devil scum!" One commanded.

"Yeah, get up right now! Think a little Exorcist like you can get in our way?!" Another demands.

"We'll take care of you, and end your miserable existence!" The third inquires, watching with anticipating eyes.

The girl looks at them, tilting her neck side to side as she breathed hard.

"I shall slay you." The girl said with a no nonsense tone.

The human Exorcists showed scheming faces, as they pulled towards her.

She moved her hand to attack…when she saw falling from the sky, was a beautiful white flakes of snow.

The Exorcists advancing on the girl all paused, looking out, and stuck out their hands, catching some snow flakes between their fingers, feeling how cold it was almost immediately.

"Huh, its July, and its snowing?" One Exorcist asks, as a cold chill spreads through their spines.

"Its getting colder here. She can't control snow, she's just a Devil…"

"Maybe she knows who's doing it, we can end it."

The Exorcists advanced on the girl, who in turn made a stance with her fists.

But the fatigue she felt, was overcoming her.

"Guess you guys didn't heed my warning." Sakai's voice echoed out.

It startled the Exorcists because they hadn't noticed his presence in the slightest.

They noticed a large concentration of cold was emanating from the left hand side, so they slowly turned that way, their movements feeling stiffer than usual due to the immense cold that was surrounding them, the snow felt incredibly freezing, even surprising them.

What they saw was Sakai stood there, gazing down at them, ready to fight.

"Hey kid! What're you doing here?"

"You're a Devil too, aren't you!?"

They demand from the boy, but the boy didn't answer, looking at the Devil with a smile.

Becoming annoyed, the Exorcist stormed the boy, and reached out for him as he yelled "Hey, I'm talking to you brat!" and tried to strike the boy.

But the boy grabbed the man's hand mid slap, and instantly, ice spread across the man's hand.

The ice spread further along his hand in a moments notice, moving up his arm, the pure looking ice shimmering in the light of the sun.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" The man yanked his hand back, watching his hand having been coated in a sheet of ice, and when it broke, he was left with frostbite, blood erupting from his arm, feeling numb.

"So cold, isn't it? If it had stayed on anymore, it wouldn't have been good for you." The boy mused, looking at the different opponents. "I'll say it on behalf of my Onee-chan, but invading territory of the Sitri shall allow me to stop you. I've said this before, it seems your leader was smart enough to not show his face. So I'm giving you the count of ten to leave."

"You're going to die scum!" Another Exorcist roared, firing off a bullets of light at the boy.

The girl looked increasingly confused as the boy simply stood there, ready to take on the attack.

"You first." The boy raised his hand, and a wave of ice escaped his fingers, washing over the demonic power, causing it to freeze in place, a sheen of ice spreading along it, and then dropped down to the ground, causing it to shatter into many different pieces.

"What the hell…?" An Exorcist whispers.

The young girl looks on, her interest piqued as the Exorcist begin rushing the boy.

"Stop him!"

"Destroy him!"

"His ice is so strong!"

The Exorcists came for the boy from all angles, as his sparkling blue eyes dance across them all, as he swirls around, the ground below him was having an overlay with ice, and then he thrust his hand to the sky.

"Rise up!" Spikes of ice burst up all around him, the solid ice pierce through the humans bodies, at the same time causing them to freeze, ice spreading from the wounds, and throughout their bodies.

Once sufficiently frozen, the boy left them as statues, while the boy looks to the others, the other Exorcists become increasingly stunned at seeing their frozen comrades.

The boy on the other hand murmured "I'll do this for Gabriel-sama." as he turned his hand to the others, an icy mist flowing from his fingertips, the increasing cold caused the humans to shiver in place.

"W-What is this kid!?"

"He's a monster!"

"We've got to stop him now!"

"Kill the monster!"

The girl watched as the boy thrusts his hand to the sky, and summoning daggers of ice in the air, firing them off towards the enemies in a barrage attack, slicing across the enemies bodies, as they mounted a defence.

The boy chuckled "Not so nice, when the tides turned, is it? Trying to harm a young girl, you should be ashamed." and then he burst off from the ground, using ice shards at his feet to propel him forward at breakneck speeds, freezing the ground he washes over.

He got before the Exorcists, and stuck out his hand, causing ice spikes to burst from the ground, breaking through the Exorcists defences, and pierced through their bodies, and cut them down, leaving the girl safe, and them alive as well.

"The cold never bothered me anyway~" As the ice overtook their bodies, the boy exhaled, and caused all the snow to vanish.

Once they were defeated, he turned to the young girl, and approached her.

She didn't show emotion, instead she simply looked at him curiously.

"Are you alright?" He asked, offering his hand.

The girl tilts her head. "Who are you? I saw you the other day…have you come to finish me off?"

The boy watched as she kept up a defence, which he expected since they were strangers.

"My names Sakai Sitri, and no, I don't wanna finish you off." Sakai greets kindly. "You know, you shouldn't be here since this is apart of the Sitri territory in the Human World, but I'll make an exception since you're cute and don't seem evil to me~"

The girl blinks at his upbeat attitude. "I, am cute?"

Sakai chuckled lightly. "Yeah, you're very cute~ Though, I don't think we have to attack one another. I can see you're pretty badly wounded. Let me help you, I'll take care of those wounds."

The girl carefully eyes up Sakai, trying to figure him out.

But she found it difficult to do so, and begins pulling back.

"I can't trust anyone, Devils, humans, they're the same. They come after me, and they…it doesn't matter, I'm leaving, don't bother me again."

Sakai silently watched as she tries to walk away.

Though as she did, he noticed she looked as if she wasn't able to hold herself up for very long, her legs quaking, her wounds bleeding further.

So he waved his fingers out, icy dust spreads from his fingertips, and move to her wounds, causing them to freeze.

But rather than being painful, it seemed to soothe her, even if she wouldn't admit to it openly.

"I get you don't wanna associate with me which is fine, but those wounds shall be healed up as the ice protects the wound like supernatural bandages. Can't have you bleeding out now."

The girl paused, and turned back to him. "…Why're you trying to help me?"

"Because you were bleeding pretty hard, if you let that continue, then you'd have bled to death. I didn't want to see you suffer. Isn't that a reason enough? It was clear they were the aggressors, and you were the one being targeted, judging by your wounds among other things." Sakai said, the compassion in his voice wasn't missed by the girl.

The girl didn't know what to say.

She had to admit the ice had managed to stop her bleeding, and sent a cooling feeling through her, it relaxed her heart.

"…Acceptable, I suppose. Though if I stay, then I'm going to have to fight. I, I need to rest."

The boy adopts a small smile. "I can help you, if you want?"

The girl mulled it over, but then both sensed powers coming from the right.

It was a light power.

Sakai turned towards the power, murmuring "Exorcists, one feels pretty strong…seems like that leader guy again…" looking back to the girl with bewilderment, trying to work out why all these people wanted a single girl, it didn't make much sense to him.

But seeing the tired expression on her face, he pulls close, and takes her by the hand, surprising her.

"You don't have to go with me, but I can get you out of here. I promise, I wont take you to the Underworld if you don't want that."

She had just met him, but he had saved her.

She felt weak, and she felt as if she didn't have much energy inside of her.

So she inhaled, and grasped his hand "Fine, lets go", and together, they took off.

A minute later, a man with black hair, wielding a Holy Sword twitched his hand to the side, seeing his allies all encased in ice, having been cut down, but not killed, angering him more, Ewald cursing at the sight, and looked to the sky, beyond the trees, breathing hard out of his nose, getting ready to strike.

Later on, getting away a good deal, Sakai put the girl in a wooden cabin, noticing the flush on the girls face, she was clearly hot, it was a warm day, so he snapped his fingers, allowing ice to flow through his hands, and spread around the area.

"Ice powers, huh." The girl mused, looking towards the boy. "Sakai, you said your name was?"

"Yup, that's me. Ooh, I didn't get your name, do you mind me asking about it?"

The girl hesitated.

She wondered if she said her name, what would he do?

Would he be the same as the rest?

She didn't know, she couldn't take the chance.

So she stayed silent, as the boy looked over her wounds.

"I'm not an expert, but I do know how to treat some injuries, my Onee-chan's taught me its good to be prepared. How about it? No tricks, you'll see what I'm doing the entire time."

The girl examined him swiftly.

He didn't seem evil to her.

In fact, all he had done so far was help.

So she consents, allowing him close.

He begins helping her with her wounds, and checking over them, using his ice when needed to freeze over the bigger wounds so they'd not bleed more, and stopping the blood loss she'd have, something she noted to be a good application of his powers.

"As we've got sometime to kill while Sera-nee-chan arrives, wanna get to know each other? I could go first."

The girl nods. "Go ahead then."

"So about me…well, I'm Sakai Sitri as I've said, eleven years of age, second in line after Sona-nee-chan to the clan of Sitri, I'm the current Leviathan's family, she's my Onee-chan."

The girl raised a brow. "The current Maou, is your sibling?"

"She is." Sakai said with a kind smile. "She's a bit zany, but she's a very good person."

"I see..." The girl murmured. "I've been attacked, and chased by numerous people. There's only been a single person who's offered me kindness, anyone else I question their motives, including yours, no offence."

Sakai waved his hand. "Its fine, don't worry about it. I'd do the same if I was in your shoes."

The girl was glad he was understanding, and still wished to help her. "...You've been good to me, thank you."

"That's okay, glad to help~" Sakai adopts a kind smile, as he budges closer. "I'm surprised by something though."

The girl raised an eyebrow. "What?"

"You didn't use your Sacred Gear." Sakai said, shrewdly observing her.

The girl looked confused. "Sacred, Gear? What's that?"

"Your power inside, I couldn't say without seeing it, but I can definitely sense you've got it inside of you. Hmm, judging by the aura flow I'm feeling from it, it feels as if its more than a normal Sacred Gear, maybe its a Longinus? Yeah, I'd say it is. A strong one for sure. I also sensed a Dragon, does that sound familiar at all? Maybe you've heard this Dragon in your dreams, I've heard that can happen for Longinus wielders, really I think its a toss between Divine Dividing, and Boosted Gear..."

The girl looked on questioningly.

But then she recalled something, and flexed her back.

Moments later, Sakai saw beautiful metallic wings, with blue feathers jutting out of them, and spreading down.

Sakai looked over them with a little surprise on his face, as the girl showed them off.

"This is the only thing I can think of, that you might've sensed. I don't know what they are, but maybe they're apart of this Sacred Gear stuff you're talking about?"

Sakai slowly nods, and folds his arms. "Sacred Gears intrigue me, so I've read books about the more known ones, and I've seen yours before, its called Divine Dividing, you're both lucky and unlucky, depending on how you view it."

The girl gave a quizzical look. "Why do you say that?"

"Because I've heard and read those that possess that Sacred Gear, because it hosts a Dragon, lures both allies and enemies to you. If you love fighting, then I guess its lucky, if you hate it, then its unlucky."

"I'm luring in enemies, even subconsciously, huh…but allies too..."

Sakai lightly smiled. "Its just what the White Dragon does naturally. Wanna know more about it? I can tell you about its powers."

The girl became intrigued, and nods.

So Sakai quickly runs down what her Sacred Gear does.

As she listens, she was surprised to say the least, folding her arms in thought.

"…So, that's what my Longinus does. Taking opponents power, and adding it to myself. Now that I think about it, when they manifested, I did hit someone, and my powers did feel as if they were getting stronger."

"Yes, that's how it is~ Quite a scary Sacred Gear, isn't it?"

The girl agreed, grimacing as she felt a sharp pain run through her side.

Sakai knew she needed more treatment, but saw she was still distant, so he pulled up.

"I need to treat you more. I know taking a chance on me, is going to be a leap, and I'm not asking we become best friends, but I hate seeing others in pain, can I help you get rid of that at least?"

The girl cocked her head, trying to work him out. "Why are you trying to help me?"

Sakai offered a somber smile, as he spoke "I know what its like, to be chased, hunted, fearing the enclosing claws of death everyday, and I promised myself, I'd do my best to protect others suffering such similar fates." which resonated with the girl.

She couldn't sense falsehoods in his voice.

He was being truthful, and she appreciated it a good deal.

Exhaling, the girl made an effort to express herself.

"My name, is Vali Lucifer."

Sakai blinks his surprise. "Wow…okay, makes total sense now why you're feeling this strong…yeah, heck, Longinus, and Lucifer, you're a miracle, aren't you Vali-chan~?"

Sakai joked, but Vali seemed to like it.

"Miracle huh…no ones ever called me that before. Usually they just wanted me gone, with one exception… but that doesn't matter. So, it doesn't matter I'm a Lucifer, huh?"

"Not to me, you're Vali-chan, Lucifer, not, doesn't matter to me. Honestly, its just a bonus to how interesting you already are, Vali-chan. If you want, I'd love to hear more about you, and feel free to ask me anything~"

Vali felt a pulse in her heart, it was the first time someone had been kind to her, even after finding out she was a Lucifer.

Sakai pursed his lips, as his hand went out the window, firing off waves of ice that caused huge spikes of ice to erupt from the ground.

Vali looked and saw Exorcists being swept up in the spikes, sliced, and stabbed, but not killed, as the ice dragged them away.

"Looks like we've been breached. Sera-nee-chan said Gabriel-sama was running a little late. Its alright, I'll go and fight them. Stay here, you're in no condition to fight."

As he said that, Vali felt confliction inside.

"I'm a Lucifer, they'll want me dead. I should be the one to fight..." Vali spoke, but then felt a surge of pain run through her side, and collapsed to bended knee.

Exhaling, the young boy pulls close, putting a hand on her shoulder, and offered her an encouraging smile.

"Don't worry, I'll do what I can to help you out Vali-chan. You shouldn't suffer, because of what family you're born into. Leave it with me, I'll freeze these Exorcists solid, and shatter their realities~"

Vali watched as he was enveloped in a wave of ice, and burst out the door, which in turn froze into a thick sheet of ice, protecting her.

Once alone inside the cabin, Vali closed her eyes, and took the first relaxing breath she had been able to take in, she didn't know how long.

She didn't think anyone would fight her corner.

But seeing his kindness, she was touched by it, and thought he was truly someone that she could depend on, if nothing else, he had shown he was trying to help her, had helped take care of her wounds, and even offered her information without expecting anything back in return.

She looked outside, and saw Sakai confronting the enemies.

The main one, Ewald, confronted Sakai, this time he was wielding a modified Excalibur.

"So we meet again, boy."

"Seems so. Like I said before, this is Sitri Territory, but it seems you've chosen not to heed those warnings. In that case, I'll have to put a stop to you. If you surrender now, then I'll accept that. But if you attack, I will freeze you solid, do not ever mistake that."

Vali was surprised, the warm and cheerful boy she had received comforting words from, sounded rather cold, and scary to the enemy.

She actually liked it, seeing the two sides of Sakai.

Even Ewald was stunned by his declaration.

He could feel cold seeping into his bones.

The other Exorcists felt intimidation run through them, as he allowed icy shards to flow all around him like a vortex.

Ewald wasn't deterred, and aimed his hand forward. "Take aim, fire."

As soon as he said it, the Exorcists took out their guns and unleashed a hailstorm of bullets towards the boy, Sakai stayed rather calm as he threw up his hands, allowing thick sheets of ice to form all around him.

The bullets bombard the sheet of ice, repeatedly trying, and failing, to break through his defences.

Sakai cracks his neck "My turn." and proceeds to produce icy claws across his knuckles, extending outwards, and rushed the enemies, swaying through the enemies as the claws cleave into their bodies.

"Aaaah!"

"He's fast!"

"I can't stop him!"

The Exorcists tried to mount a defence, but Sakai blocked their sword slashes with his icy claws, and cleaved into them.

The ice spread through their bodies, from the place they were cut, freezing them to the point they felt like they were blocks of ice, immobilizing their movements enough for Sakai to send his feet out in strong kicks, sending them flying.

Ewald couldn't believe what he was seeing, and how Sakai was downing his men and women left and right, it was crazy to the man, so he raised his Excalibur blade up high, gathering some holy power, and unleashed it at the boy.

Sakai saw the attack coming, as did Vali.

Vali watched Sakai skate around the attack which cleaved into the ground, and sent a flurry of icicles to Ewald.

"Your ice, wont get through!" Ewald's sword began to bend and change shape.

Sakai watched as it became like a whip, and slashes the ice out of the air, shattering into small tiny shards that scatter across the battlefield.

So Sakai sticks out his hand, unleashing a barrage of ice crawling across the ground at high speeds.

"Use as much ice as you wish, you shall be cut down!" Ewald stuck his sword into the ground, and generated an explosion of holy power.

Sakai stayed back, watching as the ice he sent forward shatters, and sends chunks of ice all around the area.

Sakai watches as the dust settles, revealing Ewald in a crater of sorts, and his blade aimed at Sakai himself.

"I see, so you've mixed Excalibur's together, by alchemy, have you? That's, Destruction, and Mimic, isn't it?"

Ewald raised a hand to the boy. "Good eye, you're not a bad intuition kind of fighter. But it wont save you, because this blade has some powers you'll be surprised about, and I'll use it to finish the mission I was given!"

Ewald rushed Sakai, and sent out numerous holy waves towards him.

However, as Sakai shot his ice through them to block, or divert the attack, they seemingly slipped through as if they weren't even there in the first place.

"Illusions…" Sakai thought, suddenly seeing one coming at him, so he casually threw up an ice wall, and saw it battering the side of his ice wall. "Not all of them. I see, so he's mixing illusions into the real ones, so he can distract me, and make me succumb. However, even if they're illusionary, I'll just block them too in the case they are…though he'll expect that. So he has three Excalibur powers, I'm surprised he went above and beyond like this."

Sakai didn't think it would be a simple fight after seeing this.

He then saw something even more surprising.

He saw Ewald running at him, but illusionary copies of him were formed around him.

Counting five, Sakai saw them all release holy waves, coming in from all different directions.

So Sakai raised his hands, and summoned large ice spikes in the air, firing them off with a wave of his hand.

"They're illusions, so they will be destroyed with this!" Firing off the ice spikes, they rampage through the projections and cause them to vanish out of the air. At the same time, he also used them to fire through the holy waves, so they'd vanish as well, so he could make sure he'd deal with the real deal.

However, one of the avatars he was going to pierce through, suddenly swung their blade, and deflected the attack. Sakai narrowed his eyebrows at that, so he clenched his fist, with ice forming across the ground.

"Hah!"

Unleashing an avalanche of ice in that direction, he thought the man would be swept up in it.

But, like before, Sakai saw that the avatars shape collapsed, and turned into string.

Sakai followed with his eyes were the string was coming from, and saw it was within one of the holy waves, Sakai raising his hand in time as the holy wave turned into that of Ewald himself, reforming his katana, and struck Sakai from the right hand side.

Ewald was amazed to see Sakai managing to form a thick sheet of ice barrier within moments, managing to protect himself, albeit the ice cracking as Ewald used Excalibur Destruction, and unleashed that at Sakai.

"You are strong for a young boy. But you are a Maou's family, so I expected you to be tough. But not this tough."

Sakai cracked an eyebrow up. "Mimic, Destruction, Nightmare, and I believe Transparency, I'm surprised the Church allowed you to use all four at the same time. Isn't it usual to keep them under lock and key unless for big missions?"

"I am someone who can wield Excalibur, and with the nature of my target, we were allowed to use alchemy to combine the Excalibur's together. It seems that its a good thing that we have been doing that, because otherwise we'd not be able to get through to you either."

Sakai felt something rumbling underneath his feet.

He turned his eyes down in time to see a blade ripping through the ground, and coming at his feet.

His right foot got sliced, as he retreated, seeing that Ewald was using Mimic to have the sword run underground.

"Ngh..." Because of the holy power the man used, it transmitted to Sakai's form, and he felt it inside of his body.

"Shit…Sakai..." Vali looked on with anger, and worry.

He was defending her.

He got damaged, for her.

She didn't like it at all.

Vali watched as Ewald raised Excalibur, and sent off a strong holy wave for the boy.

Sakai reached out his hand, an icy mist dancing between the digits.

Surprising Ewald, Sakai managed to grab the holy wave, and froze it upon contact.

Tightening his hand, caused the holy wave to shatter into ice dust, shocking Ewald.

"You, even froze my holy wave?"

"Yeah, I have trained my ice to be able to even freeze other things. Including your holy power." As he said it, Sakai brought his hands together, and a rush of ice twists all around him, sending out heavy shards at the Exorcist.

Ewald began slicing through the ice, as he fast approached the young man. Making use of Mimic, turning the blade into longer range weapons, and then short range, on top of Excalibur Destruction, Sakai's ice wasn't getting through.

Vali wondered why Sakai was doing that…

But then she saw, Ewald was shaking.

His breath was visible.

His hands looked as if they were turning blue.

His lips definitely were.

Sakai raised his hand as ice formed around his palm.

"Even though you are strong for a human, the base is still human, and humans tend to not have the best resistance to the cold." Sakai said, as he stepped forward, grimacing slightly from the wound on his foot. "Did you think I was just firing ice at you this entire time without a plan? Sona-nee-chan would scold me if I didn't use the brain I was born with to fight tactically. Now you'll freeze."

Vali was amazed to see such a plan come into fruition, excitement flying through her at the thoughts of her, and Sakai fighting one another, together.

Ewald looked shocked, and his eyes scooted around.

He saw from the discarded ice Sakai had released from each attack, they were each showing an eerie icy mist.

The surrounding ground had frozen the ground where the ice was.

His hands were getting so cold, they felt numb.

"The horrors of frostbite." Sakai continued, as his hand fired out a chunk of ice.

Because the ice had dulled his movements, Ewald received the impact of the ice and the blunt force trauma caused him to bleed heavily, Excalibur going flying out of his hand.

Stabbing into the ground, Sakai walked over with a limp from the holy foot wound, and took the blade out of the ground, Ewald terrified that he was holding the blade, and didn't seem to be effected by the holy power the blade was naturally emitting.

"H-How?" Ewald croaked out, looking at the area the ice hit, seeing a massive bleeding wounds on his freezing body.

"As I said, I trained my ice to freeze many things, and I froze your holy wave. Right now, I'm freezing the holy aura from reaching my skin." Sakai thrust the sword into the air, and it changed into a long bow. "Like this huh?" Sakai pulled the string of the holy bow back, and formed an arrow of ice, mixing together with holy power. "How about that? Holy Demonic Ice~"

Ewald panicked, seeing the thick arrow surrounded by a white glow of energy.

The power radiating from the young man, astonished Ewald.

"Y-You're…" Ewald didn't finish his sentence.

He couldn't.

The cold had frozen him near solid by this point, ice surrounding him, and because Sakai had his weapon, he couldn't break himself out of it, he was trapped in the tundra of dangerous ice.

"Goodbye." Sakai then fired off the arrow.

"No...!" Ewald thought the arrow was coming for him.

He thought he'd be finished with it piercing him…

But, it went by his head.

His eyes managed to turn enough to see the arrow piercing the ground a few hundred yards away, erupting in a blast of ice that sent a good number of Exorcists flying away, ice spreading along their bodies as the shockwave caught them all up in it.

"I wasn't speaking to you, Ewald-san."

Ewald's face crumbles at the realization. "You knew…"

"I thought you didn't have enough soldiers, so I sensed, and found them."

Vali was elated to see how strong Sakai was, how he was able to outdo even someone with a Holy Sword like Excalibur, even only having a few fragments, in the hands of Ewald, might as well have been fighting someone who wielded four extraordinarily powerful Holy Swords.

"Your plans...your ice, your attacks, all of it was calculated...!" Ewald was stunned, as his body was being encased in ice.

"As I said, I don't want to kill you. Soon enough, someone is going to come and sort this out, so don't concern yourself now, and let the ice cause you to fall asleep. When you wake, this will all be over…"

Ewald looked on as if he had just seen a nightmare.

The ice made him feel sleepy.

He felt his eyes becoming heavy.

He couldn't fight the chill forever, and soon, the last thing he saw before he fell asleep was Sakai's smiling face…

A small time later, Serafall came together with a beautiful young woman with long blonde hair, wearing white robes, covering her body modestly, her shiny eyes digging into his very soul, something that he adored about her.

He walked over, his face tingeing red, while Serafall narrowed her eyebrows at the young woman.

"Thank you for coming Gabriel-sama, it seems there's been some kind of mistake. Here." Sakai passed Excalibur back to her.

Gabriel shined her enchanting light hearted smile. "Of course, I'm sorry about that Sakai-kun~ I didn't know this was going on, but its a good thing to see that you stopped it all, thankfully you're okay, I was so worried~ Don't worry, I'll stop the Exorcists from doing anymore to you~"

Serafall's hand tightened when she saw Gabriel envelop Sakai into a hug, his face burying into her chest.

Vali witnessed this, and was surprised to see that an Angel was hugging a Devil.

Serafall breathed in hard, an aura forming densely around her, the earth shaking.

"Gabriel, let that boy go, and we wont have to have another war…" Serafall whispered, her face twisting in pain to see Gabriel, her arch nemesis (one sided) hugging her adorable little brother, it didn't sit right with her.

"Nee-chan, don't say such outlandish things." Sakai scolds, seeing Gabriel pout. "Besides, one day, I wanna even marry Gabriel-sama!"

Serafall's mind went into a frenzy at that very moment.

Images of Sakai, and Gabriel getting married floated around her head.

Sakai, and Gabriel…

Together…

She couldn't process it.

She couldn't fathom how it could happen.

She felt faint.

"Ooh no…not Saka-chan, he's too pure, not with…with that Angel, she'll corrupt my Saka-chan…No…!"

Serafall in the end couldn't handle it, and her eyes rolled, and she fell to the floor, her eyes flickering closed and open.

"Nee-chan!" Sakai called out with worry, Serafall's eyes were swirls, whispering incoherent words.

Vali looked on as Sakai pats his elder sisters cheek. "Is she fine?"

"She'll be okay~" Sakai spoke kindly, turning to Vali. "So, what are you going to do now?"

"I haven't thought about it. I want to become strong, and I want to kill two certain people."

Sakai nods slowly. "I can see whoever it is, has done you wrong before, haven't they?"

"You can say that again, I have to end them for what they did to me, and, and my mother."

Sakai inhaled deeply. "Well, if you've got nowhere to go, you could always come home with me."

Vali was caught off guard with his words.

"You, want me to go with you?"

"If that's what you want. Its better than being out here, and fending for yourself. I could help you gain your new life now. I could help with your powers."

Vali raised an eyebrow. "What do you want in return?"

"To be your friend. That's what I'd want, Vali-chan~"

A friend…

Vali didn't think it would be so simple.

To have a friend.

To be with a friend.

To be with someone that came to her side, and defended her.

Vali thought it was a good deal.

So she nods a single time.

"Very well, I'll go with you."

Sakai grins, and throws his arms around Vali.

The girl lightly blushes as he affectionately pets her cheek.

"Don't worry Vali-chan, I'll take care of you from now on, and shower you in affection~"

To be taken care of, it was something Vali never thought possible.

Even receiving affection like this felt strange, but a very good kind of strange.

Feeling his arms around her, it felt like the comforting embrace Vali only had ever received from her mother before, though Sakai's hug was a bit different, yet she still liked it.

In the end, it did make her feel good, to have someone be by her side, and want to protect her, and help her gain strength.

Truly, it was the start of a loving relationship.
