Omniscient P.O.V.

Sure, it was not all peace and kindness, and having met the probing attempt from that Heavenly Fire Mansion Li Family a few days ago, there was certainly some darkness hidden under the light.

But the Heavens seemed to favor that sort of thing.

In every Yin, there was Yang, and in every Yang, there was Yin.

It was true in his previous life, and with the benefits one could receive from cultivation, it was obvious that no matter where he decided to go, even the brightest light would possess its own shadow.

Since that was the case, he might as well make a bet, trusting his intuition and investing a bit more in this place.

Shadows? Pah! Better hide well from him, or he would be sure to burn it all to the ground.

Some said with great power came great responsibility, but his thoughts were different. No, what he believed was that if he found something disgusting and his power was sufficient, why not obliterate it completely?

It was not a matter of responsibility towards others, but more towards oneself.

It was the same as cleaning the trash from a beautiful beach. Doing so would make it more pleasant for oneself.

Otherwise, what? Was he supposed to gain power and not use it?

If that was the case, what was the point of cultivating, obtaining extraordinary strength, and greater lifespan?

Complaining about things one could not change when one had no power was understandable.

Doing so when one had enough power, however, was simply cowardice.

Of course, Demian was not the kind of selfless man who would go out of his way to fix the entire world.

But, if he could make the place he, his women, and his future children would live in a bit better, then why not make that bit of effort?

That was why he said those words to Eldoria and Mikhail and why he meant every single one of them.

That was his Immortal Path: Following his Heart, no matter where it brought him.

After a few more words, Eldoria declared to the four Mikhailovs while clapping her hands. "Alright. That's all I had to tell you. Once you break through to the foundation Building Rank, ask Sergei and Ling to contact the Extinguishing Hall. By the way, there won't be a need for any test. As long as you wish to join, the Hall's administrative branch will take care of everything for you."

Seeing the four nod, she then stood up and said, a playful smile gracing her enchanting face. "You don't need to see us off. We'll part here. I wish you a smooth breakthrough. Farewell."

As those words reached the four's ears, the woman's figure vanished, leaving only a quickly fading mirror image where she previously stood.

On the side, Mikhail had a wry smile on his face when he saw how casual the woman was, not even bothering to wait for him.

Well, if he knew she did so because she was annoyed by him, who knew how he would feel?

Schooling his features, his gaze turned toward the group of six and suggested. "Contact me when you want to go through your Tribulation, and I'll book the Tribulation Plateau for you. In the meantime, I also wish all of you a smooth breakthrough."

Indeed, not only the Mikhailovs, but he had already noticed the previous time that both Sergei and Ling were close to their own Peak Tier 3 breakthrough.

As for the reason behind waiting until now? Most likely preparation to survive the Tribulation, something extremely common for cultivators.

Seeing the six nod and thanking him for his words, Mikhail's gaze turned toward Demian, and something suddenly came to his mind, bringing an amused grin to his face. "Also, do send me an invitation when the four of you have decided on a date for your wedding. It's not good to wait too long for that sort of thing, after all."

Noticing the blush appearing on the three women's cheeks, especially the golden-skinned redhead, Mikhail's lips let out a few chuckles, promptly joined by Sergei and Ling, with the latter commenting. "Don't worry, General. With me here, it won't take too long."

Hearing her comment, Demian thought helplessly. 'Shouldn't I be the one to say that?' While out loud, he replied, his voice only briefly wavering. "Aunt Ling is right. It won't take long. And it'll be an honor to have the General there when we do get married."

Impressed by the young man's thick skin when it came to romantic matters, something that his teacher, and if he had to be honest, himself, lacked, he replied, his tone a bit more serious. "I'll be waiting, then. On that note, I bid you all farewell."

In the same way as Eldoria, as soon as the words left his lips, the man's figure evaporated, leaving the six standing quietly for a few seconds, each with a myriad of thoughts traversing their minds.

Interestingly, Seraphine, Adeliya, and Brynhild's thoughts were surprisingly similar, completely engrossed in their own fantasy, best described with one word: 'Wedding'.

Well, Demian could understand their thoughts.

No matter how much one claimed that other people's opinions did not matter, having others' approval always felt better than not having it.

In this case, the wedding was a sort of approval for their relationship, though from society at large, instead of specific people.

Although he did not care much, it was a fact that, whether it was their blood relation, the age difference, or the fact that they had to share him with each other, they each had their own misgivings, no matter how 'weak' they were.

Temporarily, it was fine, but in the long term, it could become really bad for them.

If it were in the Mortal World, it would be one thing, but in the Cultivation World, with its heart Cultivation becoming progressively more important as one's cultivation rose, it could potentially result in the rise of Heart Demons.

If something were to happen to them because of that, how could he forgive himself?

No, finding a way to fix it was essential.

Fortunately, he thought of a way to remove most of their misgivings, something exceedingly simple.

The answer? A wedding!

It was not a foolproof plan, but with the huge significance a wedding had, especially for women in general, he felt that the odds should be favorable.

Not only that, but the idea pretty much came from them, so either way, he would go for it and see the results.

Letting out a sigh at how complicated relationships were, he suddenly broke the silence by saying. "I'm exhausted. Teacher, Aunt Ling, I'll be going back to our Courtyard, if you don't mind."

Seeing his expression, a warm smile appeared on Sergei's face as he nodded and replied. "Sure. You should rest for a few days. After what happened the last few days, you deserve it. Actually, we all deserve it."

Ling nodded in agreement and told the girls. "The three of you should go with him and get some rest as well. You all need it after staying tense for so long."

Knowing she was right, the three Mikhailov women swiftly bid farewell before leaving the Main Courtyard and walking toward their own.

The walk back was quiet, as each of them had their own thoughts, and as Sergei and Ling said, they were all weary from having had to stay on alert for three whole days without being able to relax.

Even with their cultivation, it still took its toll on them, though a night of rest would most likely be enough to recover completely. As for whether they would add a few more days of 'holiday' after that, that was unknown.

A few minutes of a relatively slow walk later, and they all arrived at the Front Room in their Courtyard's Main Building.

As they were about to separate, with Seraphine and Demian moving toward the Western Wing, where their bedroom was located, and the other two moving toward the Eastern Wing, for the same reason, the latter two suddenly stopped walking.

"Demian?" Liya's soft and hesitant tone suddenly reached his ears, pulling him back from his musing.
