Erica's POV—Heart Full
The moment Dennis left, Benjamin walked back in and caught me off guard with a wet kiss that silenced all the thoughts swirling in my mind.
"I'll step out for a second," he murmured against my lips, "but first, come here, baby."
With no hesitation, I dashed into his embrace. My arms folded around his waist, clinging to the warmth and safety I felt near him. "What? You can't leave a minute without me, can you, Benjamin?" I teased, my head tilted up toward his knowing gaze.
He pulled my chin gently with his thumb, locking eyes with mine before sealing my words with another kiss. "Why did you bring it up unless you… really don't want me away, Erica?"
I smiled, feeling my cheeks grow warm under his touch.
"Come, I have something to show you," he said, grabbing my hand as we moved toward the door.
"Benjamin, what time is your dosage?" I asked, peeking at his expression.
He looked at me sideways, amused. "You're starting to sound like Nichole now."
