Chapter 93 - Chapter 92

Mark groaned, the third empty Potion of Resurrection falling down and shattering in shards of glass around his feet, his eyes quickly moving from the Half-Dwarf at his side back towards the cube that contained Luna.

"At which point is she at?" The blonde asked, his brows furrowed in concentration and upon hearing the taller one's answer of her being in the third out of five protective layers, knowledge that did nothing to reassure the Party Leader of their current situation and everything to worry him. "And she still shows no intention of using her Singularity, doesn't she? We need to make her use it before Aler is done with his preparations. How did she reacts to the difference in air between layers?"

"She noticed the difference instinctively but she barely cared about them." Grug affirmed, breathing a little bit easier for right now as the damage of maintaining his Spell did not yet cause him pain thanks to his latest drinking of the third Rising Potion.

Mark tsked, his lips twisting as he memorized this for the next Time as Grug wasted some Mana to change the air in between the layers of the prison, even if this was not too much of a strain all things considered, not bothering to contact Aler as he knew very well that the other was a professional and that he would contact him on his own either if in trouble or he was done.

Luna stood at the center of the cube, her eyes closed as four spheres floated around her composed of her different types of lightning, excluding her No-Attribute Altered one, from which they emanated in bolts that filled and illuminated the entirety of her temporary holding.

She nodded, her Senses having stretched out fully to grasp as much as possible of the composition of the rocks around her, taking note of its density, heat retention, melting point, electric conductivity and resistance to both cuts and crushing force.

The Lunarian stretched out, her eyes widened in a flash, opening her mouth and forming a sphere of densely packed flames within that she launched out in a concentrated beam of light and heat that bore into the wall before her, constantly melting some of it and forcing it to repair itself, wasting even more of its creator's Energy.

The lent D-Rank Elemental Roar screamed out violently, the air around the beam twisting, being pulled in and then radiating outwards in a constant wave of heated air that rapidly filled the cube, almost immediately rendering it pratically inhospitable for any standard Human.

However she stood there calmly, unbothered by both the heat and the aridity caused by the sudden evaporation of all the humidity contained within her layer, her various lightning bolts being redirected to rain down upon the wall around her beam, condensing its destructive power enough to rapidly carve into it, rock shards being flung at full force all over the inside of the room.

Luna walked through the rising dust caused by her attacks continuously ripping apart the concentrated rocks forming her prison, her body remaining safeguarded from the airborne stones thanks to the rapidly spinning winds belonging to the Composite Attribute called Deafening Storm, the Lightning-Attribute raging all around her form and painfully shredding apart everything nearby.

What almost looked like a dense layer of wind spinning around her body was in all actuality composed of thousands of writhing and incredibly fast currents that grinded violently against each other, sharpening and then shredding apart any traces of matter they came in contact with.

So ferocious were the winds that they would even turn against their own maker, shredding them apart at once, the real reason behind most of the deaths of those that use this unstable and destructive Composite Attribute; fate that would have befallen Luna too had she not shielded herself with a thin layer of Vacuous Gale, separating herself from the the air itself and in so doing dodging the damage at its source instead of trying with much effort to block it.

Luna calmly calculated the speed of her destruction, carefully and slowly rising an hand to point at the cracking wall, her Lightning-Attribute with the Form of Air-Attribute following the path of her limb, using her Vital Mana to lead the violent Composite Attribute right to the meeting point between her various attacks and the wall, causing a localized firestorm that shredded apart the wall completely, her various lightning bolts being attracted to the center of the storm and detonating in an explosive release that demolished the entirety of the wall she struck at.

Luna carefully breathed in deeply, calming down her Energy and slowly suppressing the storm before it could envelop her, using a mixture of Vacuous Gale and Hollow Jewel to safeguard herself from the backlash of the massive detonation of the Energy contained within her artificial squall.

After a sigh she stretched, moving on to beyond the reach of the third layer and landing on the fourth layer, a five meters wide cubic room that caused her to sigh. "There is another layer after this one." She confirmed aloud, judging by the amount of Mana that was redirected to flow within the walls around her.

The Lunarian blurred forward, launching an immediate punch towards the next layer, her Vital Mana being accelerated even further by Divine Power and then condensing and tightening to form a dense layer around her hand, crashing against the wall simultaneusly with her blow, concentrating the entirety of the power behind it in a single point.

And almost as if to mock the stone's defensive ability, the Energy the Lunarian released did not detonate, instead solidifying in a dense mass at the rough center of the half a meter large wall, intent on interfering with the flow of Mana through the wall itself, slowing down both its ability to restore itself and weakening its ability to reinforce its rocky materials.

Luna calmly stepped back, casually observing and calculating the flow of the Mana within the stones and how it would behave now that its natural path through it was blocked by her Vital Mana.

The white-haired one waited only a couple of seconds, observing the cracks that slowly spread in the surface of the wall, the Half-Dwarf's Mana having met her own Energy and unable to breach the obstruction it created, caused an explosive reaction that damaged the stone around it.

Yet this would not last long as she felt how her Vital Mana was slowly being eroded by the continuously flowing Earth-Attribute Mana within the prison, causing her to nod satisfied at her discovery, Aura accumulating around her left hand and forming a long blade that she thrusted forward, maximizing its piercing power.

Her spear-like Aura emanation warmed up immediately, wind and electricity surrounding its hardened body and spinning faster and faster, smashing against the portion of the wall that was previously weakened and starting to drill into it, stepping forward into the stone divider and sending rocks flying all over the room, protecting herself from them by constantly releasing pulses of winds to send them away from herself.

Her spear met the mass of Vital Mana contained within the wall and upon their contact, they detonated in a destructive burst that opened a brief hole to the next layer, just big enough and just for long enough for her to launch a small mass of her Black Blood to the next layer, the one she was able to confim was the final one considering its size and the size of the walls involved.

The purpose of that mass of vital fluid was to be used and stretched out to figure out the exact dimensions of the last two remaining layers involved in her prison, easing significantly the calculations required to figure out her way.

The chamber she currently resided in was five meters wide and possessed half a meters wide wall in either side while the next inner cell was, if one were to include the inner cell in her calculation, instead was eight meters wide surrounded by walls one meter large, for a total width of ten meters.

This meant that she could not use the room beyond the walls around her to create a Magic Circle as drawing a circle held between two squares with those sizes was impossible, leading her to move on to another plan to get away.

The red-eyed one's Black Blood started to spread by converting her Vital Mana into more of it, flooding the fifth layer with her vital fluid completely to use its weight to press against the two remaining walls of her cage and, thanks to the fact that the Energy was currently split between two layers to strain the wall of the fifth layer, wall that would not be strengthened as much by its creator's Mana to damage it.

-

Meanwhile, outside the cube, Grug coughed hard once more, his eyes narrowing in pain. "She is, she is in the fourth l-layer but she is at-attacking the fi-fifth." He was able to grit out in pain.

Mark scowled, his eyes hardening in displeasure. "We somewhat prepared to this possibility, sure, but this doesn't mean that we were able to completely relieve your cube of this weakness." His grimace soon smoothing out as he recieved a message from Aler.

"I am almost ready on my side, Mark." He recieved the much soothing call from his Party Mate, causing him to relax and breath out in relief for but a brief moment.
