"Kakashi sensei, could you explain mission ranks? It was not talk much in Academy." Sakura said, after seeing her past notes and books for two days to confirm whether or not Academy taught them.
'Academy does the bare minimum in favour of propaganda so its not a surprise.' Sasuke thought, after looking at Sasuke's notes and books, which were too basic in his opinion.
Kakashi nod and replied: "Their exist 5 rank , which are S,A,B,C and D."
"The grading of the mission is based on difficulty of finishing it, where D and C rank missions has 99% of success rate while S rank success rate is same as winning a lottery unleas you extremely capable." Kakashi said, while also mentioning rate of payment that scales with difficulty.
"But I do warn you that a mission ranking will change, due to volatile nature of this world, where even a simple D rank mission, can be a S rank mission in a second." Kakashi pointed out that made Sakura scared while Naruto intidimated by Kakashi stare.
"Anyway, even though D and C has strong success rate, both have clear difference."
Kakashi continued: "D ranks missions usually are simple task like finding missing pets and weeding a garden etc which honestly is there because it teaches basic teamwork when Genin are doing together."
"But Genins like you guys whose teamwork is solid enough, would do C rank missions that also relies teamwork, in greater extent."
Kakashi then continued walking.
However Sakura, was suspicious of Kakashi for giving a very vague descrption of C-rank , understand he was hiding something but could not guess why.
"And oh if you wondering about nature of C rank mission, why not ask Sasuke, he seem to know it." Kakashi said while pointing towards Sasuke, who was quite for a while.
Sasuke sighed and sternly replid: "Its a mission you get uncomfortable at first, but get used to it since it nature of the shinobi world."
Naruto did not understand it, while Sakura was too scared to understand implication of his statement.
Sasuke sighed and trying to prepare himself mentally.

After a while Kakashi stopped in front of forest where wild boars were roaming around.
"Why did we stopped Kakashi sensei?" Naruto said, not aware of the mission they need to do.
Sasuke stayed silent while Sakura understood the mission when she saw sight of what boar was eating.
Kakashi, seeing innocence of Naruto, he sighed and asked: "Naruto, tell me what are this wild boar are doing?"
"Few are roaming and most are eating something."
"See and tell me, what are they eating?"
Naruto scratch his head before closely looking at the boar, who were standing on an decently large cropfield.
'Wait, they are eating radish, carrots and tomatoes on a cropfield.' Naruto thought who was recently taught by Sakura when Naruto asked how do they get vegetables.
"They are eating radish, carrots and tomatoes on the crop field."
Kakashi nod and pointed at the house nearby :" Now tell me, does it belong to him who lives in the house?"
"I think so and I think he is a farmer since he grows crops"
"So tell me, Naruto, as a farmer, what would happened if no one stopped the boars from eating crops?"
Naruto tried to think hard, until he remember a shop that was closed down.
"He would have nothing to sell and faced difficulty."
Kakashi nod and continued: "So tell me Naruto, what would you do about this boar?"
"Will you kill them, so that farmer would able to sell them for his living?"
"Or you choose not to do it and let farmer and his potenial family member suffer due to lack of money to live, which will also increases prices of vegetable we all buy, where low income household or children of the orphange will be most affected, making them difficult to eat any food."
Naruto face turned pale and went silent.
Processing what Kakashi said.
'I...never thought like this...before.'
Despite how much people hate Naruto, he knew pain of hunger.
Knew frustration and hopeless he felt when shop keeper raises their price, making it harder for him to eat anything.
Remembered Sasuke words, realising how terrible junk food are.
And remembered gratitude he felt when Sakura gave him warm food other than ramen for 7 days which he considered one of his best days he experience in his life.
"So, what is your decision?" Kakashi said, giving him time to think.
Naruto was reluctant.
~Why is a monster like him is doing in the street?!~
~Get away you monster!~
~Help! This monster going to kill us!~
~Killed him, he is worthless anyway~
Reluctant after hearing those words, he remembered the 3rd Hokage who inspired him to be a Hokage.
'Jiji, you said if I became a Hokage, people will accept me, who misunderstands me as a killing monster, but you never told me shinobi kill.....' Naruto thought, felt bitter to the deception he got from 3rd Hokage.
Felt bitter for having this responsibility to do this mission.
An action he was utterly against for his whole life.
"Naruto, we don't have much time, mission will automatically failed if we let boar eat any further."
Naruto panicked, imagining how each second is causing increase in price.
However those words kept resurfacing, making it harder for him to pick up his kunai.
Seeing this, Sasuke sighed and took initiative.
"Its the reality of this world, none of us can waste our time." Sasuke said before slashing the boat with his Chokutō.
"So if we still wished to become a shinobi, we can't be indecisive." Sasuke said, while trying to suppress his horrified expression.
Seeing Sasuke, Sakura grabbed her kunai and stabbed it to the boar: "He is right Naruto, we can't think all day, while this is happening."
Naruto was horrified by the blood just like the other two, however he could not disagree with them.
'I guess if they so then.....I should do it.'
Encouraged by their actions and reasoning that thawed out his reluctance, he grabbed his kunai and stabbed at the boar.
Unlike the two however, he fall to the back, after seeing the lifeless body of the boar
'Good thing they going to hunt wild animal until he fights and kills bandit.' Kakashi thought, already undertood it would be long time before Naruto get used to it.
He also praised Sasuke and Sakura in his mind, viewing them as perfect comrade to help Naruto, who themselves are new to it.

"Is Naruto alright?" Teuchi said with concern, after seeing Naruto not lifting his head after entering.
Sakura told the detail to Teuchi and Ayame while Sasuke was sipping on tea he ordered while wondering how messed up OG Sasuke was, for having thought of killing someone.
'I guess it's the difference between reading a chracter you know compare to knowing someone that faced it.' Sasuke thought, wondering will he be sane if something happened to his loveones at his old world.
Soon enough, Ayame arrived with 3 bowl of One Miso Chashu Pork Ramen with extra pork and a separate bowl of rice and plate of fried egg for Sasuke.
"You know, it remind me of mg old days when I was Genin like you?" Teuchi said while preparing another batch of ramen for potenial customer.
"You were shinobI too?!" Naruto was astonished, never knew he was a shinobi.
"Yeah, but I wasn't a great shinobi, so tried I best to help to help my teammate in menial things like cooking."
Teuchi continued with a smile:"But then a girl came and complimented my cooking, saying it was best he ate."
"Especially Shio Ramen I made that day"
"Ever since then, I decided to quit and open this place to serve ramen." Teuchi said, feeling no regret with his decision.
"What kind of person was she?" Sakura asked with curiousity in his eyes while Sasuke put rice on the ramen broth after finishing the ramen and put fried egg on top of it.
"She was girlfriend and later wife of my close friend who was always composed and talented in our class and best friend with my teammate who was stoic like her clan member until she met her."
"She... was energetic like Naruto, who wished to be the first female Hokage."
"I still remember her being called 'Red Hot-Blooded Habanero' because of her red hair and temper she had." Teuchi said with laughter when he rememwbred petrified face of Minato was tried to get best to bring her lunch box before getting caught and yelled ay by Kushina
'How I miss you guys.....' Teuchi thought while having a bitter smile.
Sakura stay silent while Naruto wondering the girl Teuchi was talking about was the same red-haired woman he saw in his dream.
If so, why he felt warmth from someone he doesn't know?
'I kinda wished I was born into someone else like 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4 Hokage or anyone that has higher authority in the village , maybe, I could have stopped all of this from happening, but, then again, beggars can't be choosers.' Sasuke thought, again being pessimistic to himself.
'Then again, I have couple of advantages, its on me how I utilise it.' Sasuke thought before finishing his meal.
