She reached out to grab a nearby flower stem, it happened to be a rose with thorns, piercing her palm, causing sharp pain, yet she didn't seem to feel it, fiercely grasping the flower, pulling it up.
"Qin Yin, all the suffering I've endured now, I will make sure you experience it too." She said through gritted teeth, then stood up, wiped the tears off her face, took a deep breath, adjusted her expression to the most gentle smile, and slowly headed towards the hall.
Just as she reached the doorway, she heard Nan Sichen's voice.
"Prepare another bottle of milk." He instructed the servant.
"Yes." The servant quickly responded and went to prepare another bottle of milk.
Qin Yin tested the temperature, found it to be just right, and then fed the child. The child had cried for half a day and was indeed hungry, eating happily.
While Qin Yin was feeding the child, Nan Sichen stood beside her watching, his heart slightly softening.
