Jiang Mei stood to the side, somewhat lost in thought, perhaps thinking about her own daughter. Ever since she decided to cooperate with the old lady, she sent her daughter to an orphanage. She told the people there that the child was one she found.
Seeing this child now, she felt a terrible sadness, thinking of her own daughter, her heart nearly shattered.
"Jiang Mei, from now on, you will be this child's mother. Take good care of him. I will have the servant assist you, but mostly it will be you caring for him, so that you will form a bond," the old lady instructed Jiang Mei.
