When Qin Yin came out after taking a shower, Nan Sichen was already lying in bed. Qin Yin silently climbed into bed, turning her back to Nan Sichen, with a considerable distance between them.
Nan Sichen sighed and moved closer to her, stretching out his long arm to pull her into his embrace.
He thought she would struggle. He had already prepared himself; if she struggled and asked him to let go, he would say that embracing each other is warmer during these cold winter months.
But she didn't struggle at all. He hugged her from behind, and she only stiffened slightly, without saying a word, lying there rigidly, not moving a muscle.
In the end, he had to withdraw his hand.
He was afraid that if he held her like this all night, she wouldn't fall asleep, much less sleep peacefully. To allow her to rest well, he could only keep his distance from her.
