The words from the mirror followed her everywhere.
When brother finds sister, the kingdoms will burn.
She sat alone behind the school chapel, staring at the pendant in her hands.
She wanted to throw it away.
She wanted to destroy it.
But every time she tried, her hands refused.
A shadow appeared behind her.
"You shouldn't be here."
Sofia turned.
Elena.
Sofia quickly stood.
"What do you want?"
Elena sat beside her.
"To tell you that running won't stop the memories."
Sofia stared at her.
"You knew?"
"I knew there was something."
"How much?"
"Not enough."
Sofia looked down.
"Rohgah is remembering."
"I know."
"He saw the river."
Elena's face changed.
"Then it's worse than I thought."
Sofia swallowed.
"I think he's my brother."
Elena didn't answer.
That silence was enough.
Sofia's eyes filled with tears.
"You knew."
"I suspected."
"How long?"
"Years."
Sofia stood abruptly.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Because your life was safer without the truth."
Sofia laughed bitterly.
"Safer?"
She wiped her tears.
"People are attacking the school. Machir is terrified. Rohgah is remembering everything. How is that safer?"
Elena looked toward the school.
"Because the people hunting you aren't interested in revenge."
"What do they want?"
"The bloodline."
Sofia froze.
"Whose?"
"Yours and his."
Meanwhile, Rohgah was standing in an empty classroom.
Nicole entered.
"You've been avoiding everyone."
"I need answers."
Nicole leaned against the desk.
"You're not going to get them from Machir."
"I know."
"Then get them from Sofia."
Rohgah looked at her.
"She won't tell me."
"Make her."
His eyes narrowed.
"I don't force people."
Nicole smiled faintly.
"You forced half the school to obey you when you became head prefect."
"That was different."
"Why?"
Rohgah didn't answer.
Nicole studied him.
"You care about her."
He looked away.
"I don't know what I feel."
Nicole's smile disappeared.
"I do."
Rohgah looked at her.
"You're falling for her."
He said nothing.
Nicole walked toward the door.
"You should be careful."
"Why?"
"Because three people already care about you."
Rohgah stared at her.
Nicole paused.
"Don't make us enemies over someone who may destroy you."
She left.
Rohgah stood alone.
He didn't notice Ashbel listening from the corridor.
Nor did he notice Bella behind her.
The three girls exchanged uncomfortable looks.
For the first time, their friendship felt fragile.
Not because they hated each other.
Because they wanted the same person.
That evening, Rohgah found Sofia near the lake.
"You lied to me."
She didn't turn around.
"I know."
"You knew about the river."
"Yes."
"You knew we were together as children."
Sofia's eyes closed.
"I remembered."
"Were you my sister?"
Sofia turned.
Tears streamed down her face.
"I don't know."
"You do."
"I don't know!"
Her voice broke.
Rohgah stepped closer.
"Then why are you afraid?"
"Because I remember someone telling me that if I ever found you, people would die."
Rohgah froze.
"Who told you?"
"My mother."
"Your mother?"
"I don't know her name."
"Where is she?"
"She died."
Silence.
Rohgah looked toward the lake.
"Mine too."
Sofia whispered,
"Maybe that's why they separated us."
A sudden wind blew across the water.
The pendant began glowing.
Rohgah's palm began glowing too.
Sofia stared.
The symbols were identical.
Then the lake rose.
A massive wall of water formed behind them.
Ashbel appeared on the shore.
"What are you doing?"
The water suddenly crashed down.
Rohgah grabbed Sofia.
Ashbel threw out her hands.
The lake froze in midair.
Everyone stared.
Ashbel's expression changed.
"That wasn't me."
A dark figure appeared on the opposite shore.
A masked man.
He raised one hand.
A black flame appeared.
Rohgah stepped forward.
"Who are you?"
The man answered,
"Someone who remembers your birth."
Rohgah's blood ran cold.
"Tell me."
The man laughed.
"You're asking the wrong question."
"What should I ask?"
"Ask why Machir chose you."
The man disappeared.
Sofia whispered,
"Rohgah…"
He turned.
"What?"
"I remembered another thing."
"What?"
She looked terrified.
"When they took me away…"
She paused.
"You were crying."
Rohgah's eyes widened.
"What did I say?"
Sofia looked at him.
"You called me by a name."
"What name?"
Sofia's lips trembled.
"Liora."
Rohgah stared at her.
The name meant nothing to him.
But somewhere deep inside his mind, something moved.
A memory.
A little girl laughing.
A river.
A silver ribbon.
And a voice saying—
"Liora, don't let go of my hand."
Rohgah grabbed his head.
The pain became unbearable.
Sofia rushed toward him.
"Rohgah!"
He collapsed.
And this time, when he opened his eyes, he wasn't at the lake.
He was standing inside the memory.
And a little girl was holding his hand.
