In the Twilight Realm,
Kylan entered his liege chamber with a lady dressed in a white gown and glass heels. She held a staff that emitted darkness, and her eyes were all white, as if she were blind. Blood stains were visible on the cloth wrapped around both of her hands.
The guards stationed at the chamber announced, "My liege lord Kylan and the Prophetess seek permission to enter."
Without saying a word, Kylan waved his hand and the guard let both individuals in.
"Greetings, my liege," the prophetess greeted with her head bowed.
"Greetings to you too, Lady Leia," the king responded.
Kylan didn't talk, as it would be an offense, and he blended with the shadow. Ariston saw this and didn't say a word.
"You seek my presence, sixth prince?" Prophetess Leia asked while she smirked.
"Indeed, can you tell me how many cycles are left for me?" He asked, his voice void of emotion.
"Totally, you have thirty-seven cycles, My Liege, and you need to send a message to King Hadrian immediately for the engagement before bringing her here. Then you can turn her if she wills it," Leia said as she smiled.
Lord Ariston's face twitched, as he did not like where this was heading.
"Isn't it better to just turn her without her will?" he said without any emotion in his voice.
"I understand you're trying to break the curse, but that's the wrong way, My Liege. There must be something between you two. The thread which I can see tells me you two are meant for each other," she looked at him and smiled.
"My Liege, you shouldn't blame yourself for what happened to Alice. It's been 500 years and the prediction my mum gave hasn't come to pass," she continued, hatred evident in her voice.
"Leia, I called you here not for this. Prepare the necessary things needed for the goddess to bind her with me," Leia flustered and she clutched her staff tightly.
"No, I cannot, my Liege. Doing this won't break your curse, and neither would it help you take back your throne," she frowned as she replied.
"This argument will get us nowhere," Kylan immediately interjected. He continued as he came out from the shadow.
"My Liege, it's best we solve one problem at a time. First, Lily doesn't know how you look, and furthermore, she's been kidnapped. We can't do anything per your instruction, Lady Leia," he said, looking at both of them.
It seems that the goddess has plans for her chosen, so you must let her choose to be turned," Leia said, feeling drained after speaking with Lord Ariston.
"About the message until the captured princesses are rescued first, right?" Kylan said, smiling at Lady Leia. Their eyes locked for a moment before Lord Ariston interrupted.
The Cauldron of Creation
"Yes, I do," the crystal ball glowed brightly and the compass disappeared. "Good," the crystal ball said. "Your next challenge awaits."
Seven doors appeared and the fifth door opened in the wall. Lily stepped towards it and found herself in a cavernous room. The walls were lined with shelves, each filled with thousands of crystals of different colors.
In the center of the room was a pedestal with a book on it. The cover was blank, but Lily knew that this was her next challenge. She reached for the book, but the crystal ball spoke again.
"Before you take the book, I must warn you. The knowledge it contains is powerful and must not be used lightly. Are you sure you want to continue?" Lily took a deep breath. She knew she was taking a risk, but she was determined to see this through.
"I'm sure," she said. The crystal ball glowed brighter, and the book began to glow as well. "Very well," the crystal ball said. "You may take the book." Lily reached out and picked it up, and as she did, the room began to spin.
When the spinning stopped, she found herself in a completely different place. It was a forest. She looked around in wonder and realized that she was back in the forest where she had found the compass.
But something was different. The trees seemed darker, and the air was filled with a sense of danger. She turned around and saw a figure standing behind her. It was a tall, hooded figure with no visible face, hidden in shadow.
"Who are you?" Lily asked, her voice shaking. No response came.
"Master, I can't do anything for now as this is a test for you alone. Good luck," Lily felt hitting and smashing something due to what the voice in her head said.
"Hey, can you hear me?" No sound came. It was as if the figure never existed, as it wasn't replying. Then a figure stepped forward, holding a sword with a glowing blade.
"I am the guardian of the book you hold in your hands," the figure said, its voice deep and gravelly. "You have taken the first step on a dangerous journey. You must now decide whether to continue or turn back." Lily looked down at the book in her hands and then back at the figure.
She knew she was being tested and that her choices would have consequences. She took a deep breath and spoke. "I will continue," she said. The figure nodded, and the forest began to change.
The trees grew taller, and the air became cold and heavy. "You have chosen wisely," the figure said. "But your path will not be easy. You will face many trials and challenges, and you must be prepared to face them. The first trial is before you."
Lily's heart pounded in her chest, but she was determined to see this through. She looked at the figure and asked, "What is the first trial?"
The figure pointed to the book in Lily's hands. "The first trial is knowledge," it said. "The book you hold is filled with knowledge, but it is also filled with danger.
You must read the book and learn from it. But you must also be careful, for not all knowledge is safe. Some knowledge can be dangerous, and some can even be deadly. Are you prepared to take this risk?"
Lily hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "I am," she said, and the figure smiled. "Very well," it said. "Take the book and read it."
Lily opened the book and began to read. The words on the page were strange and unfamiliar, but as she read, she began to understand them.
The book told of a world filled with magic and wonder, but also with danger and darkness. As she read, she felt as though she were being transported to another place, another time.
The longer she read, the more immersed in the book she became. She lost track of time, and it felt as though she had been reading for hours. But then, something changed.
The words on the page began to fade, and the world around her began to grow dark. She felt a sense of dread, and she began to feel cold. She tried to close the book, but it was too late. The darkness had already taken hold of her. She felt herself falling, and then everything went black.
Lily opened her eyes and found herself back in the forest, the book still in her hands. She looked around, confused and disoriented. It was as though she had just woken from a dream. She took a deep breath and looked down at the book.
It was still open to the same page, and the words were still there, but they were no longer fading. She took another deep breath and turned the page. She continued reading, and as she did, the world around her began to change once again.
This time, she was transported to a different place, a different time. She found herself in a city, standing in the middle of a bustling marketplace. The air was thick with the smell of spices and incense, and the noise of the crowd was almost deafening.
She turned to the next page and found herself on a battlefield, swords clashing and blood flowing. She tried to look away, but she couldn't. The book held her gaze, and she could not escape.
She found herself in different places and times as she turned the pages of the book. Feeling like a prisoner trapped by the words, she finally reached the last page. As she closed the book, the world around her began to fade and she found herself back in the forest.
Feeling a sense of peace, she knew she had passed the test and the book was no longer a threat. A voice spoke from behind her, congratulating her on passing the first trial and proving herself worthy of the next. Ready to continue, she followed the figure as the forest faded away.
Opening her eyes, she found herself in a vast, empty desert. The figure informed her that this was the second trial and hinted that her greatest fear was present. As she began her search, her fear grew with each step.
She eventually came across a massive, towering building and hesitantly entered. Inside, she found a room with only a mirror. As she approached it, she saw her reflection moving on its own and turning to face her.
