Chapter 16: Short Break 1
After the episode ended.
Frank came over to give the audience a short break. To use the washroom, or simply to gather snacks in the lobby.
Some students went to stay. Izuku, Shoto, Tenya, and Ochaco went to get some snack. They were able to meet up with Sy.
He was the food vendor in the main lobby. They were surprised to see the snacks were free, and not all the products were snacks. Some were heated meals, Katsudon, Ramen, and even meals from outside Japan. Like Cheeseburger, Poutine, and Longanisa.
Denki went to order a cheeseburger, while his boyfriend went to order a poutine.
The kids went to and saw that Sy was also giving away merchandise. Such as Tees with pictures of the Heroes and villains that they met in the other universe. Kota wore an Aquaman Tee, while Katsuma got some Flash sneakers. Mohoro helped Eri with her hair by tying her in pigtails. She even found hair extensions to make Eri's hair more cuter. It was in the colors of pink and blue, from a Hero named, Harley.
Toga went as well to Sy's booth and tried out new make-up that suited her and saw that it made her look cuter than before. The brand of make-up from a villain named, Punchline.
Dabi was surprised that Sy was selling his favorite dish, Soba. While Kai picks up some Raman. Stain and Spinner on the other hand got a great Fish dish that they ended up eating at the lobby.
While others are getting something at the Booth. The Pro Heroes and the Big Three gather together. To discuss what they have learned from the previous episode. From Sensie's boss, a member of the Light.
"Do you guys think, there is an operative within The Team?" Mount Lady asked. "It sounds like a joke."
"Really?" Mirko asked the giant woman. "Like Hello Megan, who would the Light Member be joking that there is an operative within the Team? He didn't say it to us. Hell, that universe doesn't know they're being watched. They wouldn't think that we're listening. That universe is real, not anime."
"Mirko, please let's focus on the topic." Grand Torino said. "We can all agree that The League of Assassins sent their operative. In case it wasn't The Shadows, but the Light. We cannot guarantee that Operative is a Ninja, like Cheshire. Let's think of this very carefully."
"Think? I'm sorry but in all respects Grand Torino. All fingers are pointed at the new Girl who joined The Team." Present Mic stated.
The Heroes within the room thought the same thing as Yamada did.
"Don't forget among all the members, she let Cheshire go. Like what they is that, the way that they were talking it sounded like they knew each other." Present Mic pauses as he gets ready to do an impression of Smiling Cat. "I suppose now you bring me to Justice. Let your NEW FRIENDS interrogate me. I wonder if you're position's secure enough to survive them learning, EVERYTHING I KNOW." paused after his impression." Just from me saying it, it sounds very fishy that they knew each other."
Hearing from Mic's impression of Cheshire. A lot more Heroes suspect that Mic has a point. The way that Cheshire was talking to Artemis sounded more casual. Like they met before. However, someone like Mirio wasn't buying it.
"What if, Artemis and Cheshire knew each other within her patrols with Green Arrow?" Mirio gave out his theory, however, it wasn't a strong theory.
"It would make sense if Green Arrow or other JL members would have met Cheshire. Like during a mission, or preventing an assassination." Hawk said. "Like, an assassination happening in Star City. Green Arrow and Artemis would have met Cheshire during a possible patrol or mission." The Number Two Hero turns to Mirio and changes his tone. Rather than talking to him like a kid, he changed his tone like he was talking to another adult. "You have a good heart kid. However, Artemis is the new protege. Roy was with Oliver much longer. Red Arrow would be the most likely to be with Green Arrow during those patrols, or in possible assassination preventions. Lastly, don't forget that Artemis isn't Oliver's niece. Roy directly said that to her face. There is another thing that Roy mentioned."
The Heroes went closer to Hawks to hear what he had to say. "Roy mentions that He isn't Oliver's niece. He also mentioned that Batman and Green Arrow also know who she is, and decided to keep the truth about Artemis from the ears of Whole Team." Hawks said, opening the eyes of the rest of the Heroes. "If Bat and Arrow know, who to say that Canary and Tornado know too?"
"Hawks has a point," Tamaki said. "Black Canary and Red Tornado are also part of the Program that is helping the Team. They might even spread their knowledge to the other members of the Justice League, Superman, and Wonder Woman."
"But why, would they hide it? How dirty is her secret?" Nejire asked. "Why isn't necessary for the Team not to know?"
"I think, her secret is so dirty. The Team would give out suspicions on Artemis, besides being Young Heroes, they are also teenagers." Recovery Girl said. "It is been a very long time since I was a teenage girl. Besides training to become a Pro Hero Nurse. There is also the High School Drama. Teenagers can be mean, no matter the Generation. From mine to theirs, now add being a Teen Hero, without a quirk It is rough."
Midnight agrees. "Chiyo has a point. Being a teenager is very rough."
"I think, we're not being fair."
They all turn their attentions to All Might.
"We have learned that there is an operative among the Team, and yes, all the fingers are pointed at Artemis." All Might said. "However, we have proof. Yes, she let Cheshire get away, and she lied about not seeing her face. Perhaps there is a reason why Artemis let Jade go."
"Just like there is no proof that Artemis can't be trusted, the same can be said about not having proof that she is the operative." Endeavor said and all eyes turned to him. "We cannot deny that Artemis let go of the assassin, and lied to Aqualad about her real face. The actual evidence that she isn't Green Arrow's niece is that he and Batman truly know her secret. With the evidence that we all got from the Roquette mission. From what we know the Justice League and the Team don't know that they're in danger. That there is a mole that could gather information, or even the chance to assassinate them when needed. What's worse, we cannot warn them. The Imps wouldn't do it, Kapre is at his Manga Cafe, and Poker is probably groping the pecs of Tomura Shigaraki at this very moment."
"The worst part of being Heroes is the fact that we cannot help. There are so many times when watch that I want to help The Justice League or Team. I have a feeling that many of you wanted to help them as well."
Endeavor wasn't wrong. They have seen their missions. The first students were not ready to face those threats. Project CADMUS, Mister Twister, Santa Prisca, Amazo, and now The Shadows. They admit they're not powerful as as the Trinity, but they can help.
Last minute remaining, wrap it up bitches. So we can start the show.
They heard Frank's announcement, but they didn't have time to discuss everything, they had to wrap things up. Hawks turn to the Number one Pro Hero. "Endeavor, you have the power to say. What should we do about Artemis?"
"Hawks is right, you're the Number one Hero, you get to decide on what we should do about the Archer," Eraserhead said.
Aizawa sighs, he wants to say more, but they still have a universe to watch. A part of him does have suspicion towards Artemis, but after learning that Batman trusts her. Aizawa knows that he cannot trust Artemis 100 percent, but he does trust Batman 100 percent.
Now he wonders what Endeavor has to say.
"I have thought of it, we cannot trust her 100 percent, we however can trust her, at least 30 percent, the rest of the 70 percent we have to keep a close eye on her. I believe we will know the truth about her, during this journey as the Team grows. For now, we have to keep our discussion a secret from the other audience. None of us want the Villains to know about our discussion."
As everyone returns to the Cinema, the next chapter begins.
Chapter 17: Denial
Warning, the topic of religion is mentioned within the chapter.
00:00 - 00:06
The first episode starts, and the audience watches to see a gold helmet rotating. They even saw the eye holes were glowing.
The audience from both sides is wondering what it meant. Even the Madame President doesn't know what it means.
"Umm, is this an advertisement for Sy's booth?" Denki asks. "Dude, has so many things within his booth, I believe he has absolutely everything."
Izuku watched the video closely, He too didn't know what this helmet meant. "I don't think it's an item for Sy's booth. Maybe the helm has importance?"
Katsuki just scoffs. "As if, it's just a piece of junk, unlike my gauntlets." he gloats as he kisses his gauntlets.
The Pro Hero believes that it's nothing special. They believe it has no value besides hiding one's identity. Even the villains have the same thoughts about this helmet.
It isn't anything special.
00:06 - 00:18
New Orleans.
The episode shifted to another state in America, New Orleans.
Reiko Yanagi, 1B's very own biggest fan of the topic of the Supernatural let out a small smile. Knowing that New Orleans is the home to the practice of Voodoo. "New Orleans, this place holds so much history when it comes to Voodoo, The home of Jazz music, Sweet-sweet Beinegts. You can also find the tomb of Marie Laveau, the best Voodoo Queen ever lived." she chuckled. "It's information I have gotten from watching American Horror Story, and History channel… but more on AHS." she rubs the back of her head.
The scene follows an elderly man to a curiosity shop, belonging to someone called, Madame Xanadu.
"Greeeaaat. No offense but, I don't believe in this Mambo Jambo BS, let alone listening to a fortuneteller." Melissa had a feeling that she didn't have a great time seeing another Fortunetelling shop.
Oddly enough Melissa is witness thing her first fortuneteller, Unlike, the other Melissa who was tied up and gagged after cutting some students from her rage in MHA Reacts to Avatar the Last Airbender.
Let's just say, This Melissa will not have the same fate, and fury as the first one.
I hope.
00:18 - 00:26
Before the elderly man entered the curiosity shop. The audience saw his pocket watch and, more importantly, the photograph inside the pocket watch.
"Aww, I wonder who is that hottie?" Mineta asks as many shivers from Mineta's perverthood.
Momo looked closely at the photo, and towards the clothing that she was wearing. "By the looks of the photo and the fact it's in sepia. I want to say around the late 1890s to late 1920s based on her dress and hairstyle, which was the hair and clothing of the time."
Denki looked closely at the photo too. The details of her clothing and hair reminded him of a certain video game. "Guy, it looks like the photo was taken around the era of Red Dead Redemption one and two." From his words, many of the students understood now.
"Oh I see it now, it does look like around John Marston's time. Especially around the second game when they added photo booths." Eijiro said. "Do you think he was a cowboy when he was younger?"
"Can we not have a video game discussion now?!" Itsuka said in a stern voice. "I like the game too, but, I think this man misses his wife. She probably passed away not that long ago."
Thankfully, with Itsuka's words. The students return in line, and wonder why is this elderly man important, as they watch him enter the shop.
00:26 - 00:36
Behind the beaded doorway comes the shop's owner, as she Addresses herself.
"Madame Xanadu, it's a great name, it fits within her gimmick of a Fortuneteller," Compress said, not impressed at this beautiful young woman.
Unknown to the Audience, Madame Xanadu is a very skilled Homo Magi, as powerful and capable as Merlin himself.
Izuku's book opened by itself to a certain page. He was surprised to see that this fortuneteller wasn't some rando, that she was important to this universe. However, the page was only giving him, her name. Not even her status, or why is she important.
'I wonder who is, Madame Xanadu?' Izuku thought curious about this woman.
00:36 - 00:54
Then it revealed why the elderly man decided to go to this Curiously shop.
In the hopes of talking to his dead wife.
No one dared to judge the elderly man.
Since the discovery of quirks and how quirks became the air and bread in their daily lives. Science and logic became the majority. The beliefs about the afterlife were dimming. It no longer had a bright spark back in their universe. There is still a small community that believes in the power of belief.
Such as the belief in religion and the afterlife.
Such as Reiko Yanagi and Ibara Shiozaki.
One believes in the supernatural. While the other within her beliefs is the Christian faith.
However, some don't believe in the supernatural. Sadly enough that is the majority of the audience.
What they're seeing, isn't what one would call Magic, but a scam. To trick those who are grieving for the sake of money.
Many of the audience were not happy with this lady.
(I gotta say, I'm not a fan of season one of Madame Xanadu's adaptation. It is very different from her comic adaptation. The woman who is powerful as much as Merlin, and Morgaine Le Fey. The same woman who bested Death of the Endless to make her immortal from a game of cards. The same woman who restored her youth with an elixir. She is also the woman who brought Magical Heroes together and formed the Justice League Dark to face off against the Enchantress.
I'm just glad that season 4 returned her to her roots.)
00:54 - 01:52
The whole audience watched as Madame Xanadu did the ritual.
They admit it was very convincing, However, the audience was not fooled by this Brew-Ha-ha. Thankfully the elderly man even saw that her little gimmick wasn't the real thing. He even mentioned the wind machine and the tire jacks under the table. To make her performance more believable.
"I gotta say, you almost got me lady, but there is no such thing as Magic." All Might proudly said.
01:52 - 02:07
As the performance ended. The elderly man was lifted by a younger man, and they disappeared out of nowhere.
"Geez, who is he!" Hanta asked surprised to see a kidnapping out of nowhere.
"I don't know, but he took the old man with him," Shoto said, in the corner of his eye. He saw that Madame Xanadu wasn't part of the kidnapping. "By the looks of it, the man doesn't work for the Fortuneteller."
"Whoever he is, he must be stopped!" Endeavor raises a fist showing his fury to see another conflict that he couldn't prevent.
Unknowing to the audience. This episode's antagonist is someone that they couldn't stop. None of the MHA cast could not defeat the Witch Boy.
They'll be sorry if they even try.
02:07 - 02:12
The audience's eyes widen. When they saw that cane that belonged to the old man. Floated by itself and disappeared.
The audience has no clue what just happened.
After the opening credits
02:12 - 03:17
Mount Justice.
The scene shifted at Mount Justice, seeing that Kaldar and Superboy were having a sparring match.
Due to the student's disappointment. They did get the chance to see the match. The boys whine seeing that they're stuck listening to Artemis and Megan talking about boys instead.
"Gross, do we have to hear gooey romantic stuff? Like all Kissy-kissy." Kota said annoyed to hear the boy talk between Megan and Artemis about who would make a great couple.
Katsuma didn't like it either. "I want to avoid all that when I'm a teenager, I don't want to turn into the next Mineta. Like gross.
The teenage girls just chuckle at the little boys. They're still young, give them a few couple of years and they'll see girls differently.
03:17 - 03:25
The boys whine that they didn't get to see the whole sparring match between Kaldar and Superboy.
Katsuki was surprised that Superboy won a match without using his powers, and he used a technique that Canary taught him.
He couldn't wait for Katsuki to train with Dinah.
03:25 - 03:45
After the sparring match had ended. Red Tornado arrived and was heading somewhere. But Wally and Kaldar are volunteering to help with Tornado's errand.
"So Red does have errands to do, and I guess the Team is volunteering to do his errands. It's no different from our short patrol at Nabu Island." Izuku said recalling the home island of Mahora and Katsuma. "So it's not technically a mission."
"Red Tornado did mention that Batman and Robin are busy with their mission back in Gotham. I guess, the Team isn't getting a mission today." Fumikage said.
Many of the students are disappointed that there aren't any missions. They have been learning a lot and thinking about how to improve themselves when they dawn their costumes.
"Guys, cheer up. Sure there are no missions, but let's hear what Red Tornado has in store for the Team. I have a good feeling that it will be exciting." Mirio said cheering up the first years.
"This will be interesting," Rody said getting excited too.
03:45 - 04:02
Once Red Tornado agrees with the two boys, he pops up the hologram computer. The audience's eyes widened to see the elderly man back in New Orleans. The same man that was kidnapped earlier.
They also learned important stuff. Besides his age of 106, They also learn that during his youth and before the Justice League was formed. He was part of a Hero team called. The JSA, Justice Society of America.
"So the old man did have importance and holy cow, he is also a Hero. Like Crimson Riot." Eijiro said pumping up the rest of the students. "But, who was the Justice Society of America."
"Thank you for asking, Eijiro. We can take it from here.
The audience looked above them as Bat-Mite, Larry, and Frank went ascending down. They even change the screen to show a new batch of heroes.
"Pay attention boys and girls. To show a small history lesson of the first Heroes that defended America from the Nazis during World War II." Bat-Mite said. "This is the Justice Society of America, or JSA, for short. The original members are, Hourman, Atom Smasher, Hawkman, Jay Garrick: The Flash, Allen Scott: The Green Lantern, Doctor Mid Nite, Cyclone, Black Canary, Wildcat, The Star-Spangled Kid, Special Tactics Robotic Integrated Power Enhancer, or STRIPE for short, and of course Kent Nelson: Doctor Fate."
The Hero side was amazing from learning about the JSA.
Just like the Justice League, they are not Pro Heroes who get paid, but brave men and women who dawn their masks fighting the war for their country. I know, that many of you have so many questions about The JSA, but that can wait. For now, let's continue the show.
After their hosts left, the audience learned about the JSA.
They learned from Red Tornado that Kent Nelson is not just Doctor Fate, but he is also missing the last 23 days.
"So, now they know what happened to Mr. Nelson. Ribbit." Tsuyu said. "I'm surprised the Justice League didn't know about his disappearance. Why is Red Tornado just about to check on him?"
Nobody knew the reason. The Heroes believe that because Kent Nelson isn't a Justice League member. They probably didn't get any tabs about his whereabouts. Bat-Mite did mention that Kent was a member of the JSA, but not the Justice League.
"I'm not 100% sure Tsu, there's probably a reason. Mr. Nelson's kidnapper did teleport to take him. It was probably from a quirk, or technology" Fumikage said. "I think, Red Tornado worried for Mr. Nelson. He did say that their friends."
"That is possible, missing for the last 23 days is a red flag," Shoto mentioned thinking of the logical reason.
"Speaking of teleportation, I believe that there is a reason why we saw the cane was floating and disappearing." The audience turned to Ms. Shield. "After learning that Kent Nelson is a hero, clearly he uses science and gadgets for his hero work. When that villain abducted Kent. Kent probably has a device on his body that would alert him that he is in danger. The cane is his support item. Learning that Kent was abducted. The cane is programmed to teleport to his hideout. The cane is no different from the Zeta Tubes. Seeing the technology being so advanced than I-Island. It's not that far-fetched."
After listening to Melissa, many of the audience saw her point. In the kidnapping of Kent Nelson, the cane probably went to protocol and teleported away. Even open-minded mines like Fumikage and Reiko see her logic about the cane.
04:02 - 04:08
Among all the members of the Team, Aqualad knew exactly who Doctor Fate was, including his title.
Which got the audience completely confused.
They had heard titles such as, The Symbol of Peace, and The Chivalrous Hero, The students even gave out their titles to match their Hero names, such as The Rainy Season Hero: Froppy, The Sturdy Hero: Red Riot, or even Stun Gun Hero: Chargebolt.
This title is more ridiculous than Aoyama's Hero name.
"Earth's Sorcerer Supreme." Midnight burst out laughing "I'm sorry, but that's just too funny. Like, come on. There is no such thing as Magic. Unless his quirk is something close to smoke and mirrors, then be my guess."
Mirko too laughed at the title and the name. "Doctor Fate, is Nelson super religious or something? Like the Pope!" Rumi laughed even harder at the thought of the Pope as a Pro Hero.
No one took Aqualad seriously, not even the villains.
They just assume that Doctor Fate was just Doctor Fake.
In their world. The idea of magic was debunked by science and genetics because of the existence of quirks. They only see that Magic as fairy tale nonsense.
04:08 - 04:13
"I agree with Wally, clearly Doctor Fake uses technology to make it look like magic," Melissa said making fun of Doctor Fate.
Compress would have agreed with Melissa. True, he does want to believe in magic. However, even a blind man from there would know that there is no such thing as Magic. Even Compress knows that it's just misdirection and his quirk.
There is no actual Hocus Pocus, no Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and there is no Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Kent Nelson uses technology or a Meta Powers. To impress the babes.
04:13 - 04:25
Red Tornado infos the Team. The android might think that Kent is just on vacation. What he worried about was the source of Doctor Fate's power, the Helmet of Fate.
"No, Red Tornado, we can guarantee that Kent Nelson is not taking a vacation, but assigning the Team is for the best to check out if his helmet is fine and dandy," Mirio said hoping that the Team was going to be sent to check out this helmet.
All For One is curious about the helmet. He believes that the Helmet carries the meta powers of Kent Nelson. Similar to the Green Lantern Ring, or the super-powered android of this world.
Perhaps by taking the Helmet, he can use it for his agenda.
04:25 - 04:31
Ibara raises an eyebrow to learn that there is religion on Mars, just like Krypton worships Rao.
04:31 - 04:37
Reiko rolled her eyes seeing that Wally was using this time to flirt with Megan, by pretending that Magic is real.
Reiko was surprised that Megan believed in magic. She believes in magic, but with the Martian abilities that all Martians have. She assumed that Megan would be more logical and scientific. Like the majority of her world.
04:37 - 04:42
Before Red Tornado had the Team going. He gave a key to Aqualad as a way to enter The Tower of Fate.
"A key, Red is making it sound like it's hard to find the door," Mirko said losing interest in Doctor Fate and his tower.
04:42 - 05:01
The scene shifted inside Bio-Ship. Artemis asks Wally about his honest opinion about believing in Magic.
Reiko once again rolled her eyes. Hearing that Wally is lying to impress Megan who does believe.
She was also surprised that it sounded like Artemis does believe in the mystic arts, as she does.
05:01 - 05:09
The Team reached the coordinate that Red Tornado gave them. Seeing that the Team reached Salem.
Reiko knows the horrible history that happened at Salem during 1692-1693. Nineteen men and women were killed believing that they were witches.
Also, the name reminded her of the Cat of the same name from Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
Speaking of cats, Aizawa and Hitoshi blushed to see an adorable kitty cat.
"So cute." Hitoshi hid his blushes, seeing that his boyfriend saw that.
"So, you like cats, interesting," Denki said, making Hitoshi's face vermillion.
05:09 - 05:32
As the audience followed the kitty cat. He jumped towards a lap of a teenage boy, wearing a suit under his pale white skin.
The Heroes were not getting any good vibes from seeing this boy, and they wondered what he was watching.
05:32 - 05:47
The Hero side has gotten angry seeing the kidnapper torturing Kent Nelson. While the teen in a suit was enjoying the torment.
"Oh Awful, do you have any sense of moral child!" Ibara shouted at the teenage boy. As the boy continues to cheered.
Tomura laughed too, liking a Hero getting tortured.
05:47 - 05:55
There were some eyebrow-raising seeing that the cat was talking to the teenage boy. Like by the looks of the boy, he seems to understand the cat.
To UA they wonder if the boy has a similar Meta powers as Koji's quirk to communicate with animals.
That, or he is just very close to the cat.
"Crazy cat lady!" Mount Lady. That got the ears of Midnight twitching.
"What did ja call me!" Midnight yelled at the giant, unknown to Mount Lady. Midnight does have a pet cat.
05:55 - 06:13
The next scene shifted back to the Team. The audience heard that Wally ran around the area, but couldn't find the Tower of Fate. They even heard Artemis' theory, that maybe technology played a role, hence why they couldn't find it.
"Adaptive micro-optoelectronics combined with phase-shifting. That does make sense. Doctor Fate is one very advanced inventor." Melissa said. "He must be very rich to create a scientific marble such as the Tower of Fate."
The audience just took Melissa's words as fact. Among everyone here, she is the only scientist. She understands technology and science a lot more than the students.
06:13 - 06:25
"See, even the kidnapper uses technology," Toga mentioned after the guy in the suit mentioned it.
"His villain's name, did the boy call him Abra Kadabra." Twice mentioned teasing Mr. Compress. "I think you're jealous."
Compress just smacks Twice's face. "Don't you mind, I'm not jealous. He is a copycat. We do the same gimmick, the only difference is he uses Technology to make it look like magic. While I use my quirk and misdirection to make my magic." Compress said. While playing with some marbles in his hand.
Kai just chuckled, "You call that magic, don't forget I was the one who made one of your arms disappear." He glances at the arms that Poker returned to him. "Thanks to Poker, I can do it again. Including getting back to production, right Eri."
Eri shivers in fear not wanting to return to Overhaul.
06:25 - 06:44
Questioning on how to locate the Tower of Fate, from its many advanced tech security systems. Many of the students tried to brainstorm ideas to locate the Tower from its invisibility mode and phase-shifting tech. However, not even the smartest couldn't figure out a way to find the Tower.
Even Izuku couldn't think of an idea. The tower has quirks similar to Togata Senpai and Hakegure. In the form of technology.
Yayaorozu thought about making an EMP if the Tower of Fate is advanced science. The EMP can disable the security even for a moment. However, because they are not in costume. She doubts Artemis has an EMP on her currently.
Unsure how to find the Tower of Fate. Aqualad just inserted the key, and from a gentle twist, the Tower appeared.
"How is that possible, Wally ran over the area and found nothing?" Tenya asked wondering how the Key located the Tower of Fate.
Melissa believes she has a scientific answer. "The key disables the security system. Also, I believe it can track the tower, like how a metal detector can find metal."
Many of the audience took Melissa's words and took it as fact. However, someone like Yanagi, and Tokoyami believed that this wasn't about science, but rather about a test of faith.
'Someone isn't right' They thought.
As the Team entered the Tower of Fate, Poker went to grope Tomura's pecs.
Tomura hid his blush, starting to like the groping of his pecs from Poker.
06:44 - 07:07
Once the team entered Izuku noticed something off about the main lobby.
"Guys, the front door is missing."
"Wait, What do you mean Midoriya?" Ashido asked, the boy only pointed behind Superboy, where the door was supposed to but. However, Nothing is there. "What the heck, where did the door go?" The pink girl asked making the rest of the audience wonder too.
Before Melissa could give a scientific answer. She was interrupted by The Tower's security system.
"So. Mr. Nelson created a hologram security hologram of himself?" Rody asked unsure what he was seeing. "Or, is he supposed to be the butler to the Tower of Fate?"
Melissa stepped in to give out an answer. "I'm not sure about Butler, but the Security system is a strong possibility. The hologram is similar to the hologram security of Jor-El back in Fortress of Solitude. Which is advanced science from Krypton, not some magical spell."
The audience thinks it through, and they do see the resemblance with the Fortress of Solitude of Jor-El's hologram. That they recall from the Hall of Origins.
It wouldn't be hard to think that the Tower of Fate would be similar to the Fortress of Solitude. Once again, they took her words as fact.
The aforementioned Hologram asked the Team what are their purpose was in the Tower, and what is their intent.
"That is some advanced technology. It is no different from the Hatsune Miku live concert." Denki recalled the hologram concerts that he saw on YouTube.
"No, probably more advanced than Hatsune Miku… I don't think this is a recording?" Aizawa asked wondering what kind of answer that hologram was wondering.
Red Tornado never mentioned a password or about this security hologram. Originally, Red Tornado plan to check on The Helmet of Fate alone, and because he is old friends with Mr. Nelson. I think the Hologram will not see him as a threat to the Tower or the Helmet.
Whatever answer that the Team would say to the Hologram, they better think hard, and hope it is right.
Because Aizawa doesn't want to know if they got it wrong.
Aizawa wondered, what would happen if he did the job himself. Would he be successful doing this small errand?
It sounds so simple, but I think the Tower is complicated.
'Something isn't right about this Tower. Ms. Shield claims it's advanced tech…Now, I'm starting to doubt it isn't.' Aizawa thought, 'What makes the Helmet so special, is it just a similar device as the Green Lantern ring, or is it something else, that we don't know about yet.'
07:07 - 07:26
No one in the audience knows what to truly say to the hologram. They were never given a login password to roam the Tower of Fate. They were only given a key.
Many of them are starting to see, that Maybe have Red Tornado to do this errand. The Tower would recognize him much better than the newcomers.
However, it was Wally who gave out the answer.
Claiming that they are true believers in the mystic arts, and their here to meet up with Doctor Fate.
However, the hologram just disappeared.
"Umm, wrong password, or dumb answer?" Toga said unsure what happened.
"So what now, get out and enjoy their time in Salem?" just right before Spinner said his words. A hole opened up and the Team fell to their doom.
The Hero side gasped to see that there was a lava pit and the heroes were falling to their death.
Mr. Compress just chuckled. "Now, that is a security system that we need."
As the Team falls into a pit of Lava. There are some things that some smart audiences were able to catch up to.
How did the Tower of Fate was able to hide the pit of Lava? In which the hole wasn't there when the Team was searching for the Tower?
How did Kent Nelson even dig up a hole, and was able to hide it from the People of Salem?
The people would have noticed, and yet, only until now, the hole is there.
There are things about Doctor Fate and the Tower that wasn't logical, or scientific.
They want answers.
But first, the Team has to escape from this death trap.
07:26 - 07:55
As the Team falls to their death.
Artemis reveals that she has a hidden crossbow with her, with loaded trick arrows in its chamber.
The Heroes were surprised that Artemis was able to save Aqualad and herself with the use of the grappling arrow. They were surprised because among all the members of the Team. They suspect Artemis is the Operative among the Young Heroes.
They were caught by surprise just to see that Artemis didn't let Aqualad die.
They cannot say much about Superboy's feet as he lost his boots from the Lava.
"Sweet niblets That gotta hurt!" Pony gasped seeing Superboy's feet entering the lava. She sighs in relief that his Kryptonian genes were able to save his feet.
Izuku wrote it down in his notebook. Even though Kryptonians can survive lava, they can still feel the pain. Izuku knows even with One For All, he cannot survive the idea of diving into Lava. His biology doesn't match that of one Kryptonian.
Madame President was surprised as well. To see that Superboy didn't lose his feet from the lava. She doesn't know a lot about Superboy, or this "Superman" fellow. She believes that the gentlemen who had the letter S on their shirts are far stronger than All Might.
07:55 - 08:38
The next scene shifted with Kent Nelson and the captors entering further into the Tower of Fate. They were able to trick the hologram with the device that mimicked his voice.
Hitoshi Shinso was angry that the villains had a similar device to mimic one's voice.
It did catch the Audience's attention. When the Hologram mentioned that one of the villains has Mystic Power.
That confuses both sides of the audience.
"Mystic power, I think one of them has a weird quirk?" Toga said unsure about what the hologram meant.
"And by one of them. Do you mean the guy holding the cat? My dear, we both know that Abra Kadabra is quirkless. We didn't even need to know what is written in Midoriya's book to know about Abra's parlor tricks." The thief said mocking the villain.
All For One, on the other hand, heard the hologram. 'Mystic powers.' That sounds like a lot of baloney. True, I was born during the first generation of quirks. There was a time when the idea of sorcery could be the cause of Quirks. But that was later debunked by scientists. Even now. I don't believe it. Sure I am open to the idea, but unless there is proof. I cannot say more if the kid does have a fascinating quirk. I would want it for myself. The boy is nothing more than a mere joke. Compared to what I have done to get where I am. Including my plans with Tenko. It wouldn't be hard to get One For All, to return to its creator.'
Endeavor heard the hologram as well. As the current number one he has to stay vigilant, and his thoughts about the boy having 'Mystic powers' are just Tom-Foolary. If it's just a powerful quirk. It won't be a problem. He has faced powerful quirks before. This won't be any different.
Katsuki heard it too, and they once shared the same thoughts about the boy's mystic power.
It's a load of crap. He is a man of science. He doesn't believe in Magic. He is sure that The Team can handle The boy and his kitty cat.
Izuku in some way is in the same boat as Bakugo, however, a part of him wants to believe in magic. It is just hard to believe. Unless there is proof.
That is why he doesn't believe in magic, He is a man of logic, not belief.
True, he did see the past users of One For All, but it was explained by One For All, in scientific terms. It wasn't magical.
Lastly for those who believe in Magic is real. Such as Reiko Yanagi, and Fumikage Tokoyami. They want to believe that the threat is real. That mystic power does exist. They want to keep the belief alive. It's it's not easy. Knowing if they let their opinion out, No one will listen.
They just hope that The Team can save Kent Nelson and keep the Helmet safe from the Villains.
08:38 - 08:49
"Wally, It is not a good time to flirt with Megan!" Tenya yelled at the Speedster with his robot arms.
"You don't want to flirt in class, you don't want to flirt during training! Now THIS! ADMIT IT YOU JUST DON'T WANT TO FLIRT!" "Ochaco cries upset that Tenya hates flirting, while the boy doesn't know how to respond.
08:49 - 09:20
Seeing that Kaldur and Megan cannot stay long in this heat. The Team has to get out quickly.
The audience thought of climbing up, but with the heat of the lava, Megan could barely make herself float with her telekinesis, let alone all five of them to safety.
Until Megan thought of a way to save them. By answering the hologram once again. Mentioning that Red Tornado sent them to check that the Helmet is safe.
The Heroes sighed in relief that her answer worked. Causing the lava to be shut down by a new surface.
"Woah, the platform isn't hot, you would expect it to be hot. Like a frying pan under a burning stove." Present Mic said.
"I work in a kitchen, the surface shouldn't be cool to the touch," Rody said wondering how is that even possible.
Many wonder a lot of things since entering the Tower of Fate. What Melissa was wondering about was the Hologram security. "So their answer wasn't some password-like. Mother's maiden name, City you were born, or favorite food. They were expecting an answer on why they're truly in the Tower of Fate." Melissa said still trying to scramble everything to make sense for her. "That some advanced hologram security, it so advanced it's AI technology, like the Jor-El Hologram."
Hearing the words of Melissa, it does make sense. But it doesn't mean many believe it. Now there is a small handful of audience that doesn't take her words as fact.
That group no longer looks for Answers from Melissa. Now they have to take a leap of faith and trust what the universe is telling them about the mystic arts.
That Magic could exist.
It may not make sense, and they may not have proof, but they are taking that leap of faith.
Izuku and Neito are taking a chance and leap.
09:20 - 09:37
"Enough Wally!" Everyone turned to Fumikage Tokoyami as he let out his anger. "You're little game to impress Megan, is the reason why you and the others almost became barbeque. By lying to– Whatever that was, and say that you're a true believer of Magic, which you are not!"
Fumikage had enough of Wally trying to impress Megan. He didn't mind it from the start, but being the reason why they almost died, was the cause of Wally's flirtatious nature.
It was a foolish move, it felt like it that was something that Mineta would have done to get themselves killed.
Just like the time he gropes Tsuyu's boobie back in USJ.
Fumikage gets furious thinking of that incident between his beloved girlfriend, and that purple homunculus.
09:37 - 09:45
Wally let out the truth. That he doesn't believe in magic.
Melissa cheered along. "Praise Einstein!"
Rody rolled his eyes. "I guess, you don't believe in Santa Claus."
Melissa just laughed. "Please, everyone knows that Santa Claus is just a holiday ad to advertise Christmas. To make hard-working people spend more money to buy presents or luxury goods."
Rody just gave her a stoic look. "That whole Childhood wonder thing, it just skipped you when you were a kid… Yup, I made out my mine. I will not ask you out on a date."
"That we can agree on."
Bat-Mite shared a look with his fellow hosts. Who is glad that the Author, doesn't Ship Rody with Melissa. They see why the Author likes Rody more than Melissa, among all the movie characters.
09:45 - 09:51
Then Kaldur mentions the truth about his powers.
Mentioning that his powers aren't Meta-Human-like, but rather it was magic.
Including once again the mention of Atlantis.
The audience did wonder about Kaldur's powers since his visit to Project CADMUS. They never got a clear answer, until now.
Once again he mentions magic and Atlantis.
The topic of Magic is what the universe is telling them. Saying that Magic exists, and it's real.
However, they're having a hard time believing that Magic is real.
True, some people would take the leap of faith, but their leap isn't far enough.
True, they are smart enough to connect the dots. So far, none of them even tried connecting the dots.
Because what does it mean when they do connect the dots?
Will they accept reality, or be scared of the truth?
As for the other Subject, Atlantis.
Well, it is too much to process in one chapter. It is better they just wait until the next episode.
09:51 - 10:13
"He did, What!" The audience all shouted in unison when they heard what Wally did to gain his speed.
"When Barry Allen got his powers, he got it by accident and was left in a coma for months," Tenya said. "But, when Wally did it, he did it on purpose! WHAT THE DAMN HELL, WALLY!"
Izuku too recalls The Flash exhibit back in the Hall of Origin. Barry could have died if he didn't get his meta powers. But Wally… He-He–
Izuku's brain shuts down as he starts foaming in his mouth, towards the wreckless stuff in order for Wally to get his speed.
"That's the origin story of Kid Flash. He wanted to be as fast to as his uncle, and he did the experiment, like it was a baking soda volcano. What the fuck!" Neito freaked out at how Wally became a Meta-Human.
"I know that I joke about making quirks like a baking soda volcano in this universe. Now, it feels like I was bitten at on my ass by the universe. Now knowing a teenager was able to give himself super speed on purpose. I agree with that Blond kid, what the fuck!" Mirko said surprise as everyone else.
Inko fainted learning what Wally had done to get his powers. She wouldn't know what to do if Izuku did something similar. Or worse, some pedo gave him his quirk and told him to eat it.
Recovery Girl wasn't taking the news easy, as she started chugging a six-pack of beer.
"I cannot scream an ear full to the lad! I found beer as the solution of my anger!" She chugged the whole can of beer as she start to talk drunk. "To alcohol, the cause and solution to all of life's problem!"
10:13 - 10:25
Hearing that everything can be explained by science. The whole audience believes that quote too.
However, the universe is testing the audience for them to take a leap of faith.
When they enter the Tower of Fate. They believe that the tower is a high-end science lair. Like the Bat Cave or the Watchtower.
Let's test that theory, as Kaldur opens a door from the floor.
The audience gasped when Kaldur opened the door. To the minds of the audience, Lava would come out from the door, and it would kill everyone on the floor in mere seconds. Many shouted at Kaldur to quickly close the door fearing that the Lava would come out.
However, there was no lava, rather it was snow.
"What the fuck, snow!" Katsuki shouted what everyone was thinking.
There was a pool of lava underneath the floor earlier. Now it was replaced by snow.
10:25 - 10:37
The rabbit hole of the Tower of Fate became bigger, as the Team entered, 'The Rabbit Hole' and entered a winter wonderland.
Many wondered how is this possible.
Many of the Pro Heroes and Villains couldn't understand what just happened. There were so many questions.
'Where they teleported?'
'Are they still inside the tower?'
'Was the hole a Zeta Tube?'
The audience has to think this through. They heard what Wally said. This is a pocket dimension by String theory.
Melissa and a small handful believe in that scientific explanation. As for the other group. The group wants to think that magic is real. They started small with only two members, Reiko Yanagi and Fumikage Tokoyami.
Now it is more extensive, especially doubting about what's happening as much as String Theory makes sense in terms of logical explaination. This group is taking a chance to take a leap of faith. It doesn't make them true believers. but they are open-minded.
Members who decided to open their minds to the possibility of the existence of magic are, Izuku Midoriya, Shoto Todoroki, Ochaco Uraraka, Denki Kaminari, Mina Ashido, Tsuyu Asui, Eijiro Kirishima, and those are just with 1A.
The ones with 1B are, Neito Monoma, Itsuka Kendo, Kosei Tsuburaba, Yosetsu Awase, Sen Kaibara, Shihai Kuroiro, and Hiryu Rin. In addition, Mirio Togata is the only member of the Big Three, and with him is Hitoshi Shinso, who is open to taking the leap of faith, and being a supportive boyfriend.
The children want to believe not just in Magic, but also in the hopes that Melissa Shield is wrong about her views about Santa Claus.
Rody Soul wants to believe too, hence why he opens his mind to the possibility.
The Heroes unfortunately stayed in the realm of science and logic. Including Inko, who sees the idea of believing in magic as childish. The Madame President, on the other hand, opened her mind. To see what magic can offer her.
The villains are split. After what they have seen it isn't hard to doubt the idea of magic existing. However, someone from the start wanted to be a magician. Mr. Compress opened his mind even wider than at the start of the episode.
Twice, Spinner, Dabi, and Toga decided to join the magician. From everything that they have seen. It wouldn't hurt to open their minds.
All For One too opened his mind. Unsure if he should be concerned if Magic does exist. What does that mean for him?
Questions circle his mind, ever wondering if he could overpower the idea of the mystic arts. Not knowing the answer brought back a foreign feeling that he buried long ago, now that emotion is trying to climb up to the surface to give a chilling embrace to All For One.
All for One is desperate in wishing that Magic isn't real. Not because it isn't logical, but because he is afraid that he cannot win.
All For One, for the first time in years. He is being hugged by the cold touch of his anxiety.
10:37 - 10:39
After Wally explains his theory. The team just turned around and saw a very familiar cane.
"Hey, it's Mr. Nelson's cane," Denki said. "In some way, Melissa was right. It did return to the Tower of Fate," he said, curious about what spell Nelson did towards the cane.
10:39 - 10:55
"Well, that happened," Toga said seeing both Artemis and Wally disappear with the Cane, sending them to, who knows where.
10:55 - 11:29
The next scene shifts back to the villains, as they torture Mr. Nelson with Abra's wand.
The Hero side couldn't barely watch the torture. They have full respect for Kent Nelson being so brave to make sure that the villains didn't get his Helmet.
"Zap him again, Tell us, where is the Helmet!" Tomura shouted at the old man.
11:29 - 11:54
The scene returns to Megan, Kaldur, and Superboy trying to find an exit from the winter wonderland.
The audience listens to Megan's question about Wally not believing in magic. They heard Kaldur's answer and the majority of the audience can agree with Kaldur. Even the ones who are open-minded to the existence of Magic.
Using science to understand something that they cannot comprehend is a way of control. The idea of acknowledging the existence of magic felt like a betrayal of what they believed in growing up.
Acknowledging the existence of magic would be to relinquish the last vestige of that control.
But the people who opened their minds to magic. Didn't relinquish their faith in science. They happened to make more room for both. Like, why not have both co-existing in the same space?
Rather than having to pick one over the other.
They are taking a leap of faith, but it doesn't mean they abandoned their beliefs in science and logic.
True, they are not judging and there is nothing wrong with science. It just means, for someone like Reiko Yanagi that she has room for both. If the other person wants to stay on one side, that's okay too. There is nothing wrong with that.
11:54 - 12:16
The next scene shifted back to The Villains.
Oddly enough, Wally and Artemis appeared with the Cane. Gratefully enough, Mr. Nelson uses this opportunity to escape the villains by levitating to the Young Heroes, and they escape at an elevator.
After three do-gooders escape. The audience witnesses the power of the Well-Suited Teen.
"So, he does have powers, they looked like electricity, or some kind of emitter-type quirks, such as energy blast?" Izuku said, unsure of what kind of powers he had.
Even questioning if his powers were even a quirk.
12:16 - 12:44
In the elevator, a small introduction is needed, as all three introduce themselves. Right after the introduction. Mr. Nelson warned them both that one of the villains was a serious threat.
The audience already knows that Abra Kadabra is in fact a threat, and they also learn from the villain himself, that he uses technology to make his magic. In which Wally confirmed it more.
Tenya and many students' eyes widen to learn that Abra Kadabra is one of Flash's rogue galleries. Hearing that they fought before.
However, what concerns them wasn't Abra Kadabra, but his partner.
"Geez, so the kid is the threat, not much of Abra," Tsuyu said. "Also, by looking at Artemis. She really thought that Abra Kadabra was magical. I guess she believes in magic, just like Megan. Ribbit."
"I guess, we're going to learn more about the boy with him," Fumikage said, as everyone gave their attention to Mr. Nelson.
12:44 - 12:59
After what the audience learned about Well-Suited Teenager, named, Klarion the Witch Boy. The audience felt like Kent Nelson was pulling their leg. Hearing that the boy is as powerful as Doctor Fate and that the Witch Boy is a 'Lord of Chaos, and being a natural enemy to a Lord of order like the mentioned Hero.' sounded a lot of hoey, and having a hard to take him seriously.
The side that wanted to take that leap of faith, is having a hard time believing him. The Majority of the audience, somewhat on the same page as Wally, did not believe what they were even told.
"Lord of Order… Right… and I'm a level 9 Cleric in Dangon and Dragons, and my Psyduck is a level 24 in my Pokemon game." Sero said making fun of Kent Nelson.
12:59 - 13:04
Kent went on to explain more, that the audience didn't understand.
That Kent Nelson isn't a Lord of Order, but Doctor Fate is.
It was a confusing explanation from Mr. Nelson and it didn't make sense. It's like saying that All Might is the Symbol of Peace, but not Toshinori Yagi. Someone like Recovery Girl believes Kent Nelson has a split personality disorder. That is just her attempt to gain control of what makes sense to her. To Chiyo she just sees it not as it is, but what she wants to believe in.
No one truly let out their personal thought, unsure to even process what he meant.
13:04 - 13:11
Kent Nelson went to talk about his late wife. Now the audience learns about her name Inza.
Inko sighs understanding how Kent feels, not seeing Hisashi for a long time. Just phone calls and video chat every now and then. She loves her husband and knows that Izuku loves him too. She just wishes that they could have been together to watch Izuku grow up.
Izuku's book opened up, and learned that Kent's wife, Inza Cramer was Doctor Fate once upon a time.
'So Inza was a hero too but probably wasn't Doctor Fate for a long period. Knowing Doctor Fate was part of the JSA.' Izuku thought after learning this small history about Inza Cramer.
13:04 - 13:24
After mentioning his wife. Kent Nelson let Wally and Artemis know what they're dealing with, and why it is important for Klarion not to get the Helmet of Fate.
If he does, he will bring Pandemonium as the Witch Boy spreads his chaos to the whole world.
"Nelson is making it sound like the Witch Boy is very powerful. Like Hell." Tomura said scratching his neck. "I can turn that witch into dust, with my own hands. I will be the one wearing the Helmet, not him.
'You'll be sorry.'
Tomura flinches ready to attack whoever whispers in his ear. But when he turned around no one was there.
Not even Poker.
He started to wonder, who whispered in his ear. He knows it wasn't Poker, the spirit would just grope his chest. But not whisper.
He should stay on guard.
13:24 - 13:34
As Kent, Wally, and Artemis arrived at their destination. The audience took this time to analyze the room. They had seen it before but didn't give their thoughts about the room of many stairs.
They wonder if they could even call it a room.
Midnight, as a Pro Hero, was on the side of science and logic. As Nemuri Kayama, that part of her wants to believe in magic, because this part of the Tower doesn't make any sense. It did remember a famous painting about stairs.
She also recalls that when Wally and Artemis arrive with the cane. They were standing on a 90-degree platform. That is like standing on a wall.
In the laws of physics. They should be falling.
Artemis and Wally can stand on a 90-degree right-angle platform. With Artemis gear and Wally's speed, the problem is that Artemis is quirkless and doesn't have her gear on her. While Wally wasn't running, they wouldn't be able to stand on the platform that is a wall.
There is something odd about the Tower.
She knows that she isn't the only one, who is curious about the Tower.
Maybe there are some truths about what the universe is telling them. Perhaps, it wasn't some, but the whole truth.
Beside the room.
Kent Nelson brought them to see a Bell.
"So, what does this bell do, besides let people know that there is a nearby church?" Setsuna said curious about this bell.
Then All of a sudden. Superboy, Megan, and Kaldur went falling from the ceiling.
"Well, that happened," Mineta said feeling their arrival was super random.
"I guess, They entered the door from Winter Wonderland," Izuku said as the Team was brought together once again.
The students gasped to see that someone attacked them.
13:34 - 13:42
"Shit, Abra Kadabra and Klarion are here!" Itsuka shouted. "What should they do, I don't think Mr. Nelson is in the right to fight."
1B's class president was right, even though Kent Nelson is a hero. The man is 106 years old. He is not fit to fight. He isn't like Gran Torino.
Speaking of the Hero. "The Team has to protect him from Abra and the Witch Boy. More importantly, they have to make sure that Klarion doesn't get the Helmet of Fate. I have no clue what values the helmet has. It is important that the Witch Boy doesn't get it.
13:42 - 13:58
Thankful, with one hit on the Bell. Mr. Nelson and Wally were teleported to the top of the Tower. Where the Helmet of Fate lies.
"So the Helmet was on top of the tower all along," Ochaco said, seeing the same Helmet from the start of the episode.
The audience was surprised to see the same helmet from the start of the episode. Here they thought it was an ad for Sy's booth.
"Alright, quick and take it before—" The audience gasped to see that Kent Nelson was attacked by Klarion.
13:58 - 14:07
The audience listened to Mr. Nelson as said a couple of words. That the audience didn't understand.
Certe toto senti nos in kansate non iam adesse!
However, someone did understood. Especially that person teaches other languages. That being Present Mic.
"Wait a second, that's Latin." Present Mic, "Note, I may not be fluent in Latin, being a dead language after all. But there is no mistaking it. Latin."
Many wondered why Kent Nelson had to speak out in order to make his force field. True, there are weird quirks. Like Hitoshi Shinso's quirk that requires someone to respond to him in order to be brainwashed.
However, as many excuses as they could give out. The truth will come out.
14:07 - 14:34
"No, No, No, Don't you go!"
Panic roses in the Heroes side, after hearing the last words from Kent Nelson.
It turns out the final attack from Klarion was fatal.
Kent Nelson was missing for the last 23 days. For a 106-year-old man. He wasn't the spring chicken like he was when he joined the JSA during his Prime.
Recovery Girl was afraid that Kent Nelson's days were numbered. She believed that he was being tortured for 23 days. Who knows how much water and food Abra and Klarion gave him?
She believed it wasn't a lot.
His last remaining energy before he takes Death's hand. He hopes that Wally can believe, in which he can no longer deny.
"He is dead." Recovery Girl said.
The Hero side took the bad news differently from each age group.
The Students from both classes including the third years are saddened that Kent Nelson is gone. There was nothing that they could have done differently. Klarion's attack was out of nowhere, and they were focused on getting the helmet away from The Witch Boy. T
There was nothing that they could have done.
The children cried to see that Mr. Nelson was gone. Rody was saddened too, and Pino lowered their heads to respect the dead.
Melissa felt sorry for Kent. True, even though their views are different she respects Mr. Nelson. She bowed her head to respect Kent Nelson for the last time.
Inko screamed to see someone get murdered. She isn't like her son or the other with her. She was a civilian. When she hears someone dies. She sees it on social media and feels sorry for the one who died. This time She saw someone die right in front of her. A lot of negative emotions are rising into Inko as she lets out her tears.
The Pro Heroes and Madame President felt the same way as the UA students. They feel defeated. They watch someone that they could have saved but weren't able to.
Toshirino felt sick.
Once upon a time, When Young Midoriya was attacked by Shigaraki at the Mall. His successor asked him.
Was there ever a time that he couldn't save someone?
He once answered, Yes.
There are a lot of times that people need to save, but they can get there in time or don't know about it.
Not all cries for help are loud, some keep silent. There is also one truth, that he cannot be everywhere at once.
This time is worse.
He just saw, someone died. Right in front of him. There was nothing he could have done but watch.
he punches his armed rest as it cracks. Angry, that he was useless, and the damn Imps does nothing to prevent their deaths.
"Klarion, you are going to pay for what you have done!" All Might was able to transform into his buff-self to declare that Promise to the Witch Boy.
14:34 - 14:55
As Wally tries to do CPR on Mr. Nelson.
Klarion continues to attack the force field with his powers.
"It's just a matter of time, for Klarion to get the Helmet. Give up Kid Flash you cannot receive a dead man." Toga said cheering for Klarion. The newest cute boy she likes.
As Klarion tries to break the shield. There is something that doesn't make sense to the eyes of Hero Side.
Kent's force field is still up, even though he is dead.
That shouldn't be possible.
Weak or Strong. No one with a quirk could have done something that Kent Nelson has done.
Which begs the question, what is Kent Nelson's power?
The Hero side is smart enough to connect the dots, and Kent Nelson's last words to Wally can also be applied to them.
Believe in something that they can't no longer deny.
It is time for them to connect the dots.
It is their only option left.
"Can someone tell me, how the hell is Kent Nelson is still able to hold his force field at the Grave Beyond!" Mineta asked panicking about what going on. Then he pointed at the cane. "His freaking cane is burning up, like a candle!"
Melissa tried to make up a logical and scientific explanation. However, everything that they all know about emitter-type quirks. Such as creating a force field. It requires the wielder to be alive to create one. Let alone it still being active even though the user just died. Melissa as an inventor can create a force field generator with the right blueprints and the understanding of the science that is required.
This, however, should be impossible.
"This isn't a quirk or technology." Melissa fell to her knees. "The Tower isn't science either… Then what could it be… Alien?"
Her uncle placed a hand on his niece's shoulder to comfort her. "Melissa, I understand that science is a way to gain control to make things make sense. However, this time it's different. Maybe taking the last advice from Mr. Nelson is the only option left."
"And that is?" She asked her Uncle.
"Is to have a leap of faith, by believing towards the subject that we can no longer deny, and listen to what the universe is telling us from the start."
"That this could be Magic." Reiko finished All Might's sentence. Everyone looked at her giving her the same looks of doubt. Unlike before, she was shy to let out her voice, now she is trying to gather her courage to let out her beliefs about the subject in front of them. "I know, what I'm going to say sounds ridiculous and childish. Because in truth it is ridiculous and childish, and I admit that. However, I do believe that what Kent Nelson did to protect Wally from Klarion is in fact, real magic. Not just the spell he cast, but the Tower of Fate too. I believe it is also real magic."
There were whispers towards one another. Wondering if what Yanagi said could be the actual truth. They believe they're not going to get a logical answer that makes sense any time soon.
They all decided to listen to her, not just hear her words.
Just like Nelson said, they have to try to believe, to take that leap of faith.
Reiko isn't expecting everyone to believe right away, or at all. It isn't her responsibility or her right to make them believe in something such as magic. Just like she doesn't believe in the same religious beliefs as Ibara.
Now it all depends on fate.
14:55 - 15:23
The situation went worse when Megan placed the telepathic link to everyone, and showed a vision that everyone is down including her.
Before she went down. They needed help, they needed Doctor Fate.
The Heroes wish that they could help the Team, now knowing that Kent Nelson is dead. The world lost their Doctor Fate. However, the Imps aren't letting them.
Things went south when Klarion used his powers to create an energy construction of hands to try to rip the force field apart. The villains smiled to see that Klarion's spell was super effective towards the force field.
"He is going to get in, and going to get that Helmet! Rip that stupid shield apart, Klarion!" Kai shouted cheering for the Witch Boy.
15:23 - 15:37
Left with no options, Wally had no choice but to take a leap of faith.
"Wait, what is Wally going to do with the Helmet?" Izuku said, unsure what the helmet does besides hiding one's identity.
"Have faith in Wally, Midoriya. I believe this could be their chance to win." Reiko said, putting her faith in Wally.
Before the boy does, Klarion warns Wally that putting it on is easy, but taking it off may not be an option, as Klarion sends his attack to Wally as the boy gets engulfed by fire.
"WALLY NO!" The students cried seeing that Wally gets engulfed by the flames.
15:37 - 15:56
The room went silent after Wally put on the helmet, and it brought him to a place that he and the audience didn't know.
"What the fuck is going on, Where the hell is this place!" Bakugo shouted demanding an answer.
Shortly enough, he does get an answer from the one person that they didn't expect to see.
"Oh my goodness, Mr. Nelson?" Inko said what everyone was thinking.
How is a dead guy in the place as Wally, Until Kent gave out the answer. The same answer that the majority of the audience has been hearing since the very start, but didn't truly listen. Now it is something that they can no longer deny, because what their seeing is real.
"Oh my god." Mount Lady covered her mouth stunned towards the truth of it all.
"Magic is real," Aizawa said, as he lowered his head and placed both arms to caress his hair back. Trying to process and accept the truth in front of him.
The audience couldn't deny the truth any longer. What they are seeing is the truth.
Magic is real in this universe.
However, it isn't the right time to discuss Magic as a whole. They still have Klarion to deal with.
As the fight between Lords of Order and Chaos begins.
(I decided to dedicate an entire chapter to discuss Magic, It is better that I explain at the end of the chapter. For now, let's see the fight.)
15:37 - 16:26
The audience is given more options about the lore of the Helmet of Fate, but they are still processing what was given to them in the previous discussion.
What they heard was that Wally is alive, but not in control of his body. One of the Lords of Order, Nabu is the one in control, and he is the real Doctor Fate.
"There is way too much to process… So, you said in a simple summary is, that Kent is Dead, His soul is with the Helmet, Wally is not in control but someone else is, that someone is the real Doctor Fate, Magic is real, and my brain is not fried… Cool, we hella need to talk about this later if we have a chance." Denki said summarizing everything in simple terms.
"That's a good simple summary… is there tea… I need to calm down." Midnight said.
After understanding this small lore. The audience gets ready for their first viewing of a magical fight.
16:26 - 16:50
The battle between Doctor Fate and Klarion has started. Mention that the fight is pointless, Klarion plans to take the helmet before it gains a host. But he was too late. Wally became the host, and Doctor Fate has risen once more.
The audience understood Klarion's plan had failed. More importantly, is to watch the fight itself. This is their first viewing of a magical fight. It is merely different from the battles from, the USJ incident, The Sports Festival, The Hosu incident during the internships, The ultimate battle Kamino Ward, The Yakuza raid, and many other battles before coming to the Fifth Dimension.
If this was an ordinary quirk battle. They would assume Klarion can only use fire, similar to Endeavor. Oddly enough it wasn't as the Witch Boy commanded the bricks of the Tower to attack Doctor Fate.
The Heroes gasped believing Wally and Fate were badly hurt or worse. However, they weren't hurt, Doctor Fate used his magic to protect them.
"Amazing, this is the potential of Magic," Izuku said amazed at the fight. "It looks like they could do anything. Like is there even a limit they could have done."
"Midoriya is right, like what is the body's limit, like can they go Beyond and Plus Ultra, or does the concept of going Beyond and Plus Ultra even exist? Like what is considered holding back, and using their full potential?"
Both Midoriya and Monoma gave out so many questions after accepting that Magic is real. Right now for them to try to understand Magic as a whole is by comparing Magic with their knowledge about quirks and biology.
They have seen magic, but haven't learned what it truly is.
16:26 - 16:57
The audience watched as they got fooled by Klarion. He thinks that Fate turned him into dust, but in reality, he uses his magic. Making their classmates remind them of Setsuna Tokage's quirk.
"That's so unfair, that spell is like my quirk!" Setsuna angrily said.
How is that any different when I copy your quirk, Tokage?" Neito asked.
Tokage just smirks. "It is different because I would imagine you as some kind of pervert in the need to touch my body." She went and groped her own breast. "Like my two girls here, Ebony and Ivory. Surely, you have thought to touch my girls to copy my quirk. Heck, it doesn't have to be your hands to touch them, ain't that right, Neito Jr." She said directly to his groan.
Neito hid his junior, and his nosebleed from the teasing girl.
"Oh come on, don't be shy Monoma-Kun, I'm only kidding."
"Sh-Shut up Tokage!" Neito's face turns redder as Setsuna laughs madly.
16:57 - 17:06
After the electricity attack from Klarion reached Doctor Fate. They have learned that every time that the Doctor gets hurt. The host body feels it too.
"Well, it's like that saying, you can kill two birds with one stone." Tomura smiled after seeing this fact.
17:06 - 17:21
They learn more about what it means to be the host body for Doctor Fate.
"So, Nabu won't be using Wally's speed to add to his spells, and Wally doesn't get a turn on the steering wheel. Wally is trapped in the back seat, probably until the fight is over." Mr. Compress said to understand the lore.
They also learn, what would happen if the host body dies.
"So, technically Nabu would be trapped in the helmet when the host body dies." Dabi said, "So in order for Klarion to get the Helmet, he has to kill the host body… It sounds simple enough, but let's see if Klarion can do it."
The villains are curious about the true potential of one of the Lords of Chaos, and how strong are they with such a title. They wonder who would bow down between All For One, or Klarion the Witch Boy.
17:21 - 17:52
The battle continues, showing that Klarion is in the upper hand. The Witch Boy even showed his true potential, and act very cocky doing it.
You're out of Practice Nabu, and that pathetic host body has zero affinity for the mystic arts.
The audience heard what Klarion said to Nabu. They wonder what is consider to be the perfect host, such as Kent Nelson was.
In truth, none of them are the perfect hosts to be Doctor Fate. It doesn't matter how strong or weak their quirks are, they have zero affinity for the mystic arts, just like Wally is.
This begs the question, how does someone get magic?
That is a question for the next chapter.
17:52 - 18:03
The audience widened their eyes widened after watching Klarion conjure lightning from the Sky.
"Holy Shit, not even I can do that!" Denki admits that even in Plus Ultra, he cannot command the sky to strike lightning at someone.
(You think that's crazy, wait for a kid to say, Shazam!)
18:03 - 18:38
The audience watches as Doctor Fate shields himself with Rainbow powers.
As ridiculous as that sounds The Doctor was able to break free from Klarion's attack, more important, Fate let out more lore about the Lords of Order and Chaos.
"So, both Doctor Fate and Nabu have weaknesses." Fumikage starts to explain. "In order for either Lords of Order, or Chaos have to be in the Mortal Realm. They have to attach themselves to something that keeps them bonded in order to stay. Such as Nabu attaching his spirit to the Helmet of Fate."
"So, you're saying that Klarion, a Lord of Chaos would need one too, in order to stay on Earth." Reiko said understanding the possibility of defeating Klarion. "I wonder, what could it be… I don't see anything off about Klarion, it is not like the Helmet."
The other audience members understood as much as they could. Unlike the other episodes, it was easy to follow.
Don't get me wrong. Learning about the lore of Magic is needed. To make things easier for them once the fanfic reaches Wonder Woman 2009, and learn about the Greek Gods.
18:38 - 19:05
Wondering what Klarion uses to anchor himself to Earth, The audience doesn't expect a Hero such as Doctor Fate to attack a poor-defensive kitty cat.
"Why the fuck did you have to attack the cat! Here I thought you were some hero, no, you're just a bully!" Toga shouted at Fate angry at what he had done.
Until Fate reveals to Klarion that Teekl isn't just any cat but also his familiar. His anchor to the mortal realm.
More evidence showed that Klarion's body started to fade.
"So Teekl is like Doctor Fate's Helmet. Get rid of the cat, it also gets rid of Klarion in the mortal plane." Izuku said he understood how to defeat Klarion.
"As powerful Klarion is, his cat is like his Kryptonite," Aizawa said. "I can't believe I'm saying this, but they have to kill Teekl.
The Heroes now know a way to defeat a powerful being like Klarion.
After learning this lore about The Lords of Order and Chaos, the Audience sees that both Nabu and Klarion aren't human, or even alien. They see Nabu and Klarion as almost the equivalent of mythical gods like Zeus, or Odin.
Learning that fact scared both sides. Unsure how are they going to fair against a Lord of Order, or Chaos back in their world?
They even wonder if Magic exists just never discovered.
19:05 - 19:14
Seeing that Fate has found Klarion's familiar. The Witch Boy decided to flee ending the fight.
"So, Klarion didn't have the guts to finish the job, coward," Tomura said.
"You think, you can do better than a Lord of Chaos couldn't. Tomura you're over you're head to think that you can out best Fate or Klarion." Dabi said insulting his leader.
"No, Offence Shigaraki sir, but you could never win." Twice said. "Bigger question, can All For One or All Might do a better job than Klarion?"
Both All For One and All Might did think about it, but more in the next chapter.
19:05 - 19:31
As Klarion flees.
Doctor Fate cast a spell to get rid of Abra Kadabra's gear. Landing him in his birthday suit.
The audience screamed, not prepare to see a disappearing act of Abra's clothes, thankfully his underwear stayed.
"That is curtains for you Abra!" Mr. Compress said insulting his fellow magician as Superboy knocks him out.
19:31 - 19:49
"Now that Abra Kadabra is defeated, and Klarion the Witch Boy flees. It is safe for Nabu to remove the helmet." All Might said thrilled that their first witnessing of a magical battle is thrilling and very educational.
However, as the audience thought that Nabu was going to release the Helmet, Nabu didn't.
"What, why not Nabu!" Aizawa said angry that Nabu wasn't letting go of Wally.
Nabu went on to explain, that the world needs Doctor Fate and therefore, he has no plans to free Wally West as Doctor Fate.
"No, He can't do that… can he?" Ochaco asked in a scared tone. However, no one has the answer. Even the adults are angry at Nabu.
This lore even surprises the Villains. They had never seen a Hero like Doctor Fate take Wally West as a permanent hostage to be his host body.
Even Stain is angry to learn this lore, disgusted towards someone who is a Lord of Order.
19:49 - 20:19
They learn that Nabu can make Wally West the permanent host of Doctor Fate, but Kent Nelson tries to reason with Nabu. That Wally isn't the right candidate to be Doctor Fate. He is a man of science, not sorcery.
The Audience agrees that Wally isn't the right candidate as much as Melissa isn't fit to be Doctor Fate. They are both champions of science, not magic.
Nabu went to agree, also he went to argue. A powerful being such as Doctor Fate shouldn't be in the centerpiece like a museum displaced because of the Helmet. The Helmet should be worn and face off agents of Chaos, such as Klarion and other magical threats besides him.
After hearing that counterargue. The Audience doesn't know how to reply to a very good point from Nabu, thankfully Kent made a promise. That Wally would take care of the Helmet of Fate, and to make sure it goes to good use.
"I can see what Kent is doing, he is making a bargain. A promise that Wally has to keep. Doctor Fate is the most powerful being that we ever seen. More powerful than All Might, and probably Superman. The world does need him, but the requirement for him to exist in the mortal plane is cruel." Reiko said. "No wonder, Kent Nelson stopped wearing the Helmet for a long time, He did it to live out his life. To be a husband to Inza, and he did. I think when Wally and Kent arrive on the rooftop. I think Kent was ready to return to Nabu and become his permanent host. However, Klarion was able to kill him before he had the chance to be Doctor Fate once again."
Listening to Reiko, the audience hates the requirements to be the host of Doctor Fate. If one of them decided to wear the helmet, it meant saying goodbye to their one life, to be Doctor Fate until the end of their lives.
What angered them more is learning that Nabu doesn't give a shit, if it means that their host bodies will never get their lives back for the sake of Order. They will.
Nabu has a will ain't like any other.
He isn't a True Hero, but a Lord of Order.
20:19 - 20:49
"Wait, Mr. Nelson, you're staying here, what about Inza?" Melissa was concerned about Kent deciding to stay with Nabu, instead of reuniting with his Wife.
Reiko and Fumikage are surprised that a scientist such as Melissa now believes in Magic, and apparently the Afterlife.
Kent went on to explain that there is nothing to worry about him. For one thing, he is already dead, and the good thing about death is he no longer has to worry about time.
The thing about eternity is the concept of waiting doesn't exist. He and Inza will see each other again.
"That is so sweet." Inko cried soft tears, hearing a romantic story from a dead man.
They listened to Nabu, accepted the bargain, and decided to free Wally as Doctor Fate.
Before Wally takes out the helmet. Kent gave out a piece of advice to Wally and to the audience. That they should find their own SpitFire.
Fumikage looked at his girlfriend, Tsuyu as he held her hand. "I already did," he said, and Tsuyu blushed to hear those words from Fumikage.
20:49 - 21:57 (Last Scene of the chapter.)
The last scene was at Mount Justice as Wally placed The Helmet of Fate in a safe place. Ready to use when needed.
Wally even went to tease Artemis that what happened to him wasn't magic, but science. The audience just laughed, knowing that even though he won't admit it vocally. Wally believes in Magic.
He isn't the only one to believe that magic is real. The whole My Hero Academia cast now believes it too. It may not be the whole universe, but a handful is enough.
It is time for them to discuss the elephant in the room.
The topic of Magic.
