Leah, Kyle, Michelle, Gemi, and Mini arrived back at Kyle and Thomas's house. Michelle disappeared into the guest room, claiming to have "top secret activities," which Kyle found amusing since Michelle had no abilities and wasn't involved in the mission.
Kyle, however, turned his focus to restraining and questioning the scientist, while Leah accompanied Gemi and Mini to one of the bedrooms. Gemi gently laid Mini on the bed, her worry etched across her face. She stepped back to allow Leah room to work.
Leah stood there, hesitant. Her hands hovered above Mini's unconscious form as she struggled with the decision before her. She could feel it—healing Mini completely would drain the last reserves of the power she had gained from the pill. Without it, she would be left with only her natural, limited abilities, far too weak for the challenges they still faced.
