Kelvin Franklin was a successful doctor, who lived his life saving people one way or the other and also someone who doesn't care about rules and protocols to carry out as a doctor. He saved lives and also loved seeing people happy. Kelvin had a successful lifestyle but he was always unhappy, like something heavy was imbedded in his heart.
His relationship lifestyle was bad, all his girlfriends said that he's so boring and they can't just live with a person like that. Kelvin never liked them, he just wants to be with someone that could understand him but unfortunately they all either wanted an affectionate and lovely boyfriend or his money. He felt lost, angered, enraged but why???. After all his life had been going smoothly and also he had money but what exactly is making him feel uneasy.
The burden in his heart worsen, as he felt lost deep down in a pit that he can't seems to get out from, but it became worse so he had no choice but to be suspended from work.
This life was given to us to live it, life is not cruel to anyone because it's abstract but the purpose we had to live is cruel as it dwells deep down in our hearts. Kelvin thought about life while walking in a forest looking for a perfect place to die so that no one would even remembered that he exists. The people he killed while harboring this illness was more than the people he saved when his illness worsened, he was a successful doctor but it felt like he was a fake . Kelvin was tired and exhausted as fighting keeps making him feel helpless and hopeless then he decided to go on a trip to never return.
On his way while being lost in his thoughts, he saw a beautiful lady dressed in white covered in blood, she looked fragile and weak as she was sitting on the ground looking helplessly as well. Kelvin thoughts maybe the lady was an angel sent to him, with the way his heart was beating fast, the rate of his heartbeat while looking at the strange and unknown beautiful lady was nothing compared to the ladies he had been dating. Kelvin felt it in that instant like he had seen his soulmate then decided never to let go of her no matter what.
Katie looked up, seeing the young man staring at her with a puzzled and satisfactory look made Katie shivered but surprisingly she was not scared instead she smirked knowing that she had seen someone she would pour out her anger on. But at first, Katie looked into his eyes and she could only see sadness and loneliness in him but Katie decided to put those emotions behind her.
"Are you okay young lady?" Kelvin finally asked after a deep thoughts. Katie looked at Kelvin with her innocent silver eyes, she then said
"I'm not okay, I need help" Katie said as tears flowed down her cheeks slowly even though she knew that it's was fake but...…
"Even her voice melted my heart, looking at her puppy face she looked so innocent as if she was someone one needs to take care of. I won't die anymore now that I have someone to cater for, I don't mind if she was asked to approach me with bad intentions, I will make her fall in love with me" Kelvin thoughts. He then quickly brushed off those thoughts, wiped her tears away and said to her,
"What's your name?, I'm sorry if I'm being too blunt and straight forward but if I'm to help you I need to know your name"
"I'm.. Katie…" Katie responded as she groaned in pain while trying to adjust her position. Kelvin was quick to notice her discomfort and asked suddenly,
"What's wrong with you apart from your injuries"
"I don't know….. my stomach hurts time to time"
"I will tend to that later, let's first treat your wounds" Kelvin said while opening his surgery instruments, he couldn't believe that he had brought it subconsciously when he came her to die.
*I guess I'm still a doctor who cares about the lives of his patients*
"What do you think you are doing" Katie flared up looking at the Kelvin as he brought out his surgery instruments, she was scared that Kelvin was also like Drake who wanted to kill her for her blood.
"I'm a doctor…"
"So.... What are you trying to do"
"I'm doing what a doctor do" Kelvin replied, after few minutes feeling uncomfortable with Katie's look, he decided to further his explanation.
"Treating wounded people what else, or were you thinking I was trying to kill you" Kelvin chuckled at little while treating her wounds.
"You barely know me so why would you treat me? What if I'm someone who is here to destroy you or get rid of you, what would you have done"
Looking at Katie's beloved cute face and her marvelous red eyes, one could easily know that she is a vampire who could actually be dangerous but also innocent deep down and that keeps making him drawn to her.
"You're right but right now you are my patient and that's who I'm treating right now". Kelvin said, wanting to love her and ease his burden of his life, unbelievably he could only find peace when talking to her, a girl who could destroy his career with a twinkle of an eye or a girl who could save his broken heart.
Katie's heart melted at that moment, for some reason she could not help but to feel drawn to this strange doctor who is treating her regardless of her look, Katie could cry at that moment if it wasn't that her heart was already torn.
"Only if I had met you before him….. if only" Katie thoughts for few seconds, she then concluded that all guys are the same and she would never fall in the same trap twice.
"Now that I've seen someone who is willing to do anything for me, I will pay back what Drake did to me to this doctor" Katie smiled devilishly not knowing the plan will backfire on her and him as well.
