Chapter 33 - Revolutionizing The Military Industrial Complex

Now learning about this apparent war my Cults in I quickly absorbed about half of the blobs and dragged Jody to his office.

"What do you mean you're at war! The whole point was to stay off the grid what the fuck happened?!" I demanded furious at my "secretive" cult being in conflict.

"We are currently at war with a branch of The Church Of The Broken God. We have been at war for over a century after they accused us of worshipping Yaldaboath their sworn enemy after seeing how we worship you. Do to this they've been trying to undermine, and destroy ourselves through attacks and sabotage." He placated likely knowing this would come up.

"Why do they think we have ties to their enemy god?" I asked as aside from sacrifices there wasn't much related to Yaldaboath.

"They view the powers we wield through sacrifices to you as Yaldaboath giving us gifts. As they use the natural rlements such as lightning, and reality warping they assumed that Yaldaboath was granting us powers." He explained.

"Well then, how is the war going?" I asked as I wouldn't mind absorbing some more soul husks, and of course completing the

(Deus Vult!) (Quest).

"It has been going in our favour. Though due to the formation of the Foundation and GOC we have been limited in our movements. Depite this we have destroyed many of their bases, and through which have gained beneficial artifacts. What more although limiting recruitment it has allowed a rather large growth within the strength of our forces as our soldiers gain experience. Your donation of hundreds of thousands of those miracle pills centurys ago did wonders for almost eliminating casualtys." Jody explained.

It was at this point Jody had pulled out a chart displaying our military. It was surprisingly structured, and due to the "magic" they gained from giving periodic sacrifices they didn't have to worry about food or water. This was because the water from the Fountain of Youth could abait your thirst for monthe with just a drop, and those who weld "magic" could conjure up food they were extremely familiar with. When I found out this information I asked. "Can you do the same with weapons?"

Jody looked at me like I killed his father, and said. "Well I hadn't thought of that, one second." And a rapier suddenly appeared in his hand. He then reached underneath the desk and proccured a rapier that looked rhe exact same. He then used my cult's magic to enchant both weapons with fire. The summoned rapier seemed to glow brighter then the one Jody took from under his desk.

He then spoke two words. "Well shit."

Getting out of his stupor he said. "I'll foward this development to our soldiers."

Wondering if Jody had done any experiments I also asked. "Have you done ANY testing with firearms?"

Jody sheepishly smiled and said. "No?"

"Books that teach people the subjects they excell in my ass." I muttered. "So why haven't you done any?" I asked hoping for a somehwat reasonable explanation.

"We have found the drain that comes with enchantinh firearms is too excessive for anyone to us-" "Why haven't you tried enchanting the bullets?" I interupted.

A audden look of realization overtook him as he pulled a pitol from underneat his chair took out the magazine enchanted it and fired it at the floor. It put a small burn mark onto the floor, and Hody seemed to be fixated on the burn mark shocked. "This room has been enchanted with over 250 reinforcements on every squar inch of this room." He explained.

Deciding to test it out myself I manifested a regular steel knife and swung it at the floor. The knife exploded, but thanfully I shielded the blast with my Trenchcoat. The aftermath didn't even leave a scratch. Realizing just how powerful this was I said. "You are to begin the conversion of the army imediately."

Giving me a nod a squad of over 8 knights busted down the door and yelled. "My Lord are you okay!" As there eyes all landed on Jody's form. But as they all took a defensive stance between me and Jody they said. "It is time Men! Our god is with us once again!" He proclaimed as he stabbed himself in the heart. With the rest of them soon to follow. I looked at Jody wondering just how much he fucked everything up. But just as I thought they were going to become a barely noticible mark on my divinity bar I noticed the life come back to them as a familiar golden glow enveloped them. And after comparing the aura to everything I created I realized something.

The Mad-Lad Jody himself made my version of SCP-500 into an automated magical form. At-least he wasn't spending centurys with his fingers up his ass. This was amazing though I soon noticed how the squad of 8 were knocked out, and soon came to the conclusion that it wasn't viable mid combat.

Despite this it would allow for a massive decrease in casualtys.

Looking over the guard captain aside from his longsword that was glowing a purple fire he had a set of rune covered plate armour on him. Alongside his 7 men that also had full plate armour though had less runes then the guard captain. Wondering how they got hear without making a ton of noise my answer theough deciphering the runes they've been enchanted to allow fluid movement. Deciding to do another test I copyed one of the regular guards armour and manifested a dagger. I ran said dagger straight through their forearms rhough I did feel some resistance, and the dagger would've exploded instead of breaking had I not reinforced it a little.

Deciding to examine the guardsmen more closely I noticed how the guard captain was marked by his gray cape conpared to the regular guardsmens white. I hoped that Jody didn't have rank distinguished by cape on the battlefield as it would be comically easy to pick of high value targets, and if he did there would be hell.

Jody after seeing me examine the capes suddenly felt a chill go up his spine, and decidedly started to go help with the standardization of guns.
