I sighed. I just finished working on my latest invention yet. Zayne was my first choice. What I mean is, she was the first humanoid I ever created.
It didn't work, but I wasn't discouraged. My wife told me it wasn't gonna work. I didn't listen , but after her tragic death, I was left alone with Audery to take care of . Sad memories, I thought. Long story short, I still carried on with my inventions. That was the only way to sustain me and my daughter Audery. I tried building a humanoid hopefully I could sell it and earn lots of money. My first attempt was well... unsuccessful. This is my second attempt. I called her Lisa. A human-like robot - a humanoid "Jack can you pls go to the store room and get me my keys". I was in my work shop . Done and good to go. I was waiting for a long time. Damn what's taking him so long. " Jack what's taking you so long don't make me ...." I was cut off by a scream. I ran into the store room. "Jack" I said I was so scared. Through the dim light I saw... Jack standing with a sharp rod sticking out of his chest that was bleeding badly. His face was pale and I could tell he was dead. He fell on the floor lifeless. "Jack" was all I could mutter. Who would do such a thing? I thought. Out of the darkness came the murderer, the one that took my best friend's life. Time went still for a moment as I saw a pair of blue eyes in the darkness. I know those eyes it can't be.... Out of the darkness came... "Zayne?" I said in shock. Jack was right all along. I turned and saw Audery in her pajamas. Holding her teddy bear so tight with tears in her eyes. "DADDY" she muttered. "Take this," I put a skeleton key on her palm and I closed it. "Run Audery ." Go through the back door and don't turn back. "Go to my work shop, there" I pointed ." Open that door go in . You'll see a box, open it as fast as possible and don't let Zayne have It. love you and I'll always be with you "DADDY" she screamed. "Run Audery, Run." I heard a slitting sound and suddenly felt something wet slipping out of my throat. I looked and saw blood. My blood! Black dots blinded my vision as I struggled to breathe. The last thing I could see was Audery in her pajamas. Clutching her teddy bear so tight with tears in her eyes as she ran towards the door. "Daddy" she said. A tear streaked down my eyes. Knowing that I can't be with her anymore. My eyes felt heavy as I struggled to breathe . I closed my eyes and everything blacked out.
