A knocking sound echoed.
"Hang on!" The aloof young woman's voice sounded from inside the room. A few minutes later, the sound of a toilet flushing was heard.
Footsteps approached the door, it opened, and a young woman who looked to be in her early twenties with a somewhat aloof demeanor poked her head out, staring at the forty-something, rather elegant middle-aged man standing at the door, coldly asking, "What's the matter?"
Xiao Mu, transformed into the middle-aged man, asked with a smile, "Is there a house for rent here?"
"You want to rent a house?" The woman's expression softened.
Xiao Mu nodded.
