There is naturally a whole set of solutions, with a water pump at the bottom of the attachment to handle shallow rivers, and for deeper waters, it's irrigated from the top.
The former is slow.
The latter is fast.
If there's too much silt in the river, then instead of using mist sprayers, only droplets and water streams are used. Later on, the issue of internal silt filtration needs to be solved.
