Once Igor said this, everyone present was stunned.
Everyone understood what Igor meant. Stim's previous statement was just an explanation of his own deduction, but Igor seemed uninterested in this explanation. He directly skipped the process and questioned the result.
The process Stim mentioned didn't matter to Igor; he was more interested in the conclusion that Stim arrived at. So all the things Stim just said were a complete waste of time for Igor. He didn't care whether Stim's reasoning was logical or justified; he just wanted to know the result and the cause-and-effect that Stim talked about.
This surprised the others as well. People generally think that knowing more details would help in better understanding later, which is human nature. Most people think this way. But Igor didn't think so. He didn't care how hard it would be for him to understand later; he only wanted to know the cause-and-effect.
