Lily Smith heard Grace Murdock's words, "Huh!" she exclaimed and glanced at little Hadley Morrison with a sly smile on her face.
"Turns out you want to play with me," she enthusiastically lunged forward and grabbed little Hadley's hand. "Come on, I'll show you something nice in the garden!"
Little Hadley, whose hand was grasped by Lily, blushed, feeling that Lily was rather unreserved and not much like a girl. Yet, he couldn't help but grip her hand even tighter. Her body was soft, and she even smelled slightly of milk.
He sniffed, finding the scent quite pleasant.
Lily led little Hadley deep into the garden. When he wasn't paying attention, she suddenly let go of his hand and stumbled into some hidden corner.
Little Hadley walked a few steps forward instinctively, then suddenly stopped, turning his head to find that Lily was gone.
"Lily?"
He called out.
