The old madam knew exactly what kind of person her granddaughter was. She would never groundlessly accuse others of taking her things. She somewhat guessed Jasmine's intentions, surely trying to get back at Viola Harris for some grievance.
Fortunately, she wasn't senile yet.
"Grandma..." Jasmine was quite displeased with the old lady's reaction; she should've been fuming with rage, and then she should've called Viola Harris over to scold her harshly.
Mrs. Harris interrupted her train of thought, "You've had a long day at work, go home early and rest. I need to sleep too. Don't worry, I'll clarify the matter of the necklace with Viola."
A gleam flashed in Jasmine's eyes as she lowered her lashes, unnoticed by Mrs. Harris.
"Then I'll be heading back." Jasmine's voice carried a hint of displeasure, her emotions were apparent on her face.
Mrs. Harris silently sighed at her retreating figure.
