Years By Years saw Ethan, and his mood instantly lifted. He wiggled his little butt and kicked his legs while grinning at Ethan with his two newly grown front teeth exposed.
"Eh—oh—" he babbled in a baby language that others couldn't understand.
"It seems Years By Years really likes Ethan," Grace Adams was infected by Years By Years' giggles.
"Ee—ya—ee ya—" Years By Years grew even more excited, pounding Amelia Clarke's shoulder with his little fists to express his delight.
"Years By Years, keep it down, or you'll wake up your little uncle," someone cautioned, suggesting that Ethan might find it hard to stay asleep with such loudness.
Sure enough.
Just as Amelia was about to take Years By Years back to the dining room, Ethan, who had been asleep, stirred the hand resting on his shoulder and then started to cry unhappily. He cried while waving his little hand to scratch his head, but fortunately, he wore scratch-proof gloves.
