Thomas felt utterly ashamed by Olivia's words, his dignity in shreds, but he didn't blame Olivia; he just felt that he had let her down.
He said he would take responsibility for her, yet he couldn't even buy her a house.
Faced with her accusations, he couldn't even utter a word in defense.
At this point, Olivia didn't want to pretend anymore. After yelling, she couldn't be bothered to explain or apologize. She called a car on her phone and prepared to leave.
Thomas walked over, wanting to talk to her, but she pushed him away.
