(Carson) I know we were supposed to explore the school and all but I need to ask you two something.
(Sarah) Sure, what's up?
(Carson) Well to be honest, everyone in our group has something great about them. What can I even do at this point.
(Sarah) As your sister, I can say that you have a lot of great skills. Like um... um.. u....
(Shironuma) What happened to that leading spirit you had before. Look Carson, We wouldn't even be here right if you didn't call me out before. Also your basically average at everything, so you could pair up with anyone of us.
(Sarah) I thought you were supposed to be holding back.
(Shironuma) I was, I think.
(Carson) It's fine, I know what he trying to say. Just forget about it and let's keep moving.
(Carson walks off with a frustrated look on his face and the other two quietly followed behind.)
(Shironuma (Thinking) I what I said that bad. I mean if something happens to one of us, it'll be his to step in.
(Sarah (Thinking) Shironuma has to work on his communication skills. Although, why couldn't I name even one thing good about him. What Shironuma said really isn't wrong though. He really good at everything. Even if he's not perfect at something, he's still very useful to us. I just hope he understands that.
(As those three explored the school, The others began working on the drone)
(Grey) Woah!! This science room is huge. For a school that looks run down this sure looks amazing.
(Clementine) Yeah, I kept this place up because I knew I was going to spend most of my time in here.
(Grey) You really love science huh?
(Clementine) Absolutely!
(Grey) By the way where your sister go?
(Clementine) She went to the library, in the next room over.
(Grey) Oh okay.
(Grey (Thinking) So were by ourselves. This is embarrassing, what am I supposed to say now?
(Clementine) Hey, are you okay? You seem shaken up.
(Grey) Oh yeah, I'm fine.
(Grey (Thinking) I can't be as bad as Shironuma right?
(Grey) Um, did you have something mind about building the drone.
(Clementine) Yep! I think we should some fireworks!
(Grey (Thinking) Just like that I'm fully back in control.
(Grey) Okay, wait a second. A firework?
(Clementine) Yeah a firework. Maybe even multiple of them. If we just need to scout the area, then the fireworks could get rid of evidence afterwards.
(Grey) True but it could also alert some trouble at the same time.
(Clementine) Fine but that would've looked so cool. What do you think?
(Grey) Maybe something like an actual drone, attached to a remote camera.
(Clementine) Okay, that sounds really boring though. So we need propellers, a battery, some wiring, string, and a camera. We already have cameras throughout the school. We could possibly use our shoe strings as the strings.
(Grey) If you have extra cameras, we can use the wiring and batteries out of them.
(Clementine) The only thing left now are the propellers. Oh, and I almost forgot the remote.
(Grey) Right.
(They went searching for the materials they needed and left the science room.)
(Grey) Do you wanna stop and get your sister?
(Clementine) It's fine, once she starts reading, everything becomes irrelevant to her.
(Grey) Really, that seems like the total opposite of what a normal kid does.
(Clementine) Well she became that way after the tragedy. Instead of crying all day she kept on researching for ways to bring everyone back. Honestly I wish I had that kind of resolve and courage to push through all of this.
(Grey) Even so, you stood up to us to protect Anna. Although it was a pretty bad plan. In the future, if she becomes the savior of this planet then you would have to protect until then. Everyone haws their own strengths and roles in life. Maybe your her guardian angel.
(Clementine) Thanks. I never thought about it like that.
(Grey) Sure, umm... let's get going.
(Grey (Thinking) I've been around my sister way too long. Encouraging others is not my thing.
(Time went by and it eventually became nightfall. Each of them gathered inside the science lab.)
(Grey) I guess we're staying here tonight.
(Shironuma) That's fine. Although did you already make it?
(Sarah) Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the drone.
(Grey) Actually the drone's not done yet. I'll need my computer to finish it. The other project is finished though.
(Carson) What do you mean "the other project".
(Grey) So, you didn't tell them?
(Shironuma) I didn't really think it was that important.
(Sarah) That's fine, since I have some secrets too.
(Shironuma) Wait a sec....
(Carson) What is it anyway?
(Grey) Well honestly, he wanted me to make an surveillance camera.
(Sarah) I do get it but why now, we'll only be staying for tonight right?
(Shironuma) Yeah, but we need someone to keep watch. Also if someone does come, we could get information about them before they find out about us.
(Clementine) You're very precautious aren't you?
(Shironuma) Maybe just a little.
(Grey) By the way what did you three find?
(Carson) Not much to be honest. This school is very baron but I think we did see a lot of tools in the janitor closet on the first floor.
(Sarah) Don't forget about the food in the cafeteria.
(Anna) We have a little bit of food packed in the library.
(Clementine) There better not be any snacks missing.
(Anna ran and hid behind Sarah.)
(Shironuma) I guess she likes you now.
(Sarah) Aww, that's so cute.
(Clementine) You can't hide forever you know.
(Grey) We should let the girls have the second floor and we'll have the first floor.
(Shironuma) Okay, I'll watch over the security camera first. The next person can switch after two and a half hours.
(Sarah) No way, I'm going first.
(Shironuma) Fine, I'll go after you.
(Carson) That's cool and all but how about we eat first.
(Clementine) That seems like a good plan to me.
(Anna) ....
(Clementine) Before you say anything, you can't have anymore snacks.
(Grey) How about just one snack?
(Anna) Pretty please.
(Clementine) Okay, but only one.
(Grey) Hey Anna after we eat, can we go over some of your research.
(Anna) Ummm.... sure.
(Sarah) Research?
(Grey) Yeah, I just have some questions.
(Carson) I wish we could've brought the game. By the way who's cooking?
(Sarah) As leader of the group, I appoint Carson to be the cook.
(Shironuma) I don't mind.
(Grey) It definitely makes the most since.
(Carson) Are you serious? Why me and why not Sarah or Clementine?
(Grey) Are you just assuming that only girls should be making the food?
(Shironuma) Yeah that looks pretty bad and that's coming from me.
(Carson) This is stupid, but I'm fine with it because you're coming with me Shironuma.
(Shironuma) Wait wha.....
(Carson grabs Shironuma and pulls him out of the room.)
(Sarah) I wonder why he took Shironuma? He doesn't look like someone who can cook.
(Grey) Who knows.
(Clementine) So, Sarah?
(Sarah) Sure what is it?
(Clementine) Are you and Shironuma going out?
(Sarah) Uh... Uhhh.....uh...
(Grey) Yeah, my sister is kind of incapable of asking those sort of questions?
(Sarah) I am not! I just kind of like him, even though he makes me mad sometimes.
(Clementine) I see.
(Grey) Why didn't you just say that before?
(Sarah calmly walks over to Grey and then punches him in the arm, with a blushed face.)
(Sarah) Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!
(Grey) Okay I give up.
(Anna) Umm... Grey?
(Grey) Yes, Anna?
(Anna) Don't you have a crush on my sister. Last time we came up here, you were blushing like that too.
(Grey) Uh... I wouldn't particularly say crush, more like uh....um.... admiration kinda.
(Anna) Oh, I see.
(Sarah) Hahahaha!
(Grey) I don't wanna hear that coming from you.
(As Clementine blushes, she covers her face with her shirt.)
(Grey) I think I should go help them with the cooking.
(Grey launched out the science lab and ran down the hall.)
(Clementine) There's no way that you're getting any snacks after dinner.
(Anna) But....
(Clementine shuns her and turns around.)
(Clementine) Humph!
(Sarah) I guess we're sort of alike in a way.
(Clementine) Yeah.
(Sarah) To be honest, I've had my brothers but I kind of felt lonely not having a girl in the group. So thank you for joining, and you too Anna.
(Clementine) Truthfully I should be thanking you guys. We really didn't have a plan up until now. More than anything I wanted to protect my sister but I never knew what direction we should take. So we stayed here.
(Sarah) I actually know that feeling. Even before all this my brothers and I were alone for years.
(Clementine) For that long?
(Sarah) Yeah, Mrs. Kaede and Mr. Clyde provided us a place to stay when our parents went missing. They even taught us a few things. Although at our base we really didn't leave for awhile, until Shironuma came.
(Clementine) Why did you change your mind about staying? Surely you guys would've been safe while hiding out.
(Sarah) That's true, but I can't truly be able to sleep with knowing that there are kids like me are in danger. I mean, I say that but it isn't just that. Shironuma is a genius, right off the bat he gave us the inspiration to move forward. I guess I honestly want to see what type of person he becomes in the future.
(Clementine) I see so you're his guardian angel, right?
(Sarah) Guardian angel?
(Clementine) Yeah. I see him always thinking, like earlier when you two stopped me. The only difference between the both of are your own determination. If I was actually someone dangerous, I feel like only he would've taken me out.
(Sarah) Honestly before we left the hideout Shironuma and Carson got into it.
(Clementine) Really?!
(Sarah) Yeah, they were fighting because Shironuma didn't tell anyone kids around the world were passing away and Carson felt like us staying inside all that time was inconsiderate. In reality all of us except Carson knew what was happening. That's why I can't blame either one of them.
(Clementine) Okay I think I understand. The reason we're doing this now is to protect everyone in the world but Shironuma's reasoning was to prepare for everything you can before leaving. That's really understandable. How did you guys deal with it?
(Sarah) We decided to come here and find someone to recruit. When we met you, I guess that's when Shironuma came up with plan to make a drone. More than likely we should be heading back to the base, so we could monitor the area while also being safe in the base. He thought about all of that, just from meeting you.
(Clementine) So he thought of way to follow Carson and his own way of thinking, but what if he couldn't find a middle ground?
(Sarah) That's what I'm afraid of. Shironuma sometimes only think logically, and disregarding his own feelings. I don't know how I can help him understand that he matters just like everyone else.
(Clementine goes over to Sarah and gives her a hug)
(Clementine) That's why you have to be his guardian angel because he's going to need someone to guide him in the future.
(Sarah) Do you think that I'm capable of doing that?
(Clementine) I do. Even now I'm sure with his hyper speed thinking, he's thinking of a way to make you happy. You just have to be there for him when the time comes.
(Sarah) Thanks Clementine. Let's both do our best moving forward.
(Clementine) Yeah, let's do this.
(The gang ate and went straight to bed. Not knowing what awaits them when they awake)
