Bai Ruozhu gave Jiang Yichun a look, suggesting he try to persuade Tang Yin privately. Doing so in public would likely make it even harder to change his mind.

After everyone dispersed, Jiang Yichun discussed with Tang Yin late into the night but ultimately couldn't convince him to change his mind.
