Kasper Edith sat up, helped her pack everything away, and Olivia Parker lay on her side next to him.
Even though he really wanted to get close to her, considering she had surgery tomorrow, he only kissed her neck lightly and then stopped.
In the dark, neither of them fell asleep.
For a moment.
"Aron!"
"Liv!"
The two of them spoke almost at the same time.
Olivia turned over in his arms, found his face in the dark, and held it. "What did you want to say?"
Kasper lifted his palm and cupped the bones of her wrist. "You first."
"There's something I'm keeping from you for now. I'll explain it to you in a few days, okay?"
Just because of one phone call from Harvey Fisher, his emotions had swung so much; if she told him the whole thing, he'd definitely be even more affected.
