The judge nodded to her, "Defense lawyer's objection is valid. Plaintiff lawyer, if you want to prove what you said, please provide more evidence."
Jane Bell remained calm, "Your Honor, I would like to ask some questions to the defendant Kasper Edith and his wife Olivia Parker about the evidence."
"I object!" Reese Harris stood up again, "This is not a criminal case; witnesses have the right to choose whether to testify or not. My client's wife, Mrs. Olivia Parker, can refuse to attend."
The judge looked up at Olivia Parker.
"Mrs. Olivia Parker, are you willing to testify?"
Olivia Parker stood up from the audience, "I am willing!"
If she didn't testify, the other side would inevitably bombard Kasper Edith relentlessly. She hoped to help hold them back as much as possible.
"Please, the witness, take your seat."
Olivia Parker nodded to the judge, descended the steps, and walked to the witness stand and sat down.
Jane Bell immediately approached and began questioning her.
